Tweetcaster Tablet Mode - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently purchased TweetCaster from the app store and it's a great twitter app but Is there a way to get the app to run I'm tablet mode? I really like the tablet layout instead of of the regular one. I've tried changing the dpi but nothing. Any ideas?

[Q] Third Party Apps and Nook Tablet

I have a fully rooted dual boot Nook Color and love it. I am interested in the Nook Tablet as well. I understand it has a locked bootloader so dual boot and custom ROMs aren't possible right now. I also understand it can be rooted and apps sideloaded.
Does anyone know if these apps will work on a Nook Tablet, rooted or otherwise?
Zinio
Pressreader
Spotify
Kindle for Android
NY Times and LA Times apps
Overdrive
Dropbox
Facebook
OfficeSuite
Slacker Radio
Hootsuite or Twitter
I am just trying to figure out if the Nook Tablet is worth upgrading to or if I am better off sticking with my Nook Color. Thank you!
ETA: I'm forced to wait 5 minutes to fix a typo? I understand the need to block spam, but that's really user unfriendly.
I have a non-rooted NT that I've tweaked to accept 3rd party apps. I've installed the Zinio, Kindle, Overdrive, and Dropbox apps on it, and they seem to run just fine. I say seem to because I haven't done a lot with them yet other than see if they'll open and run. They do and look like they'll run just fine.
Thanks for the reply! How did you tweak your NT?

By following the directions in an article at liliputing.com ["How to Sideload Apps on the NOOK Tablet (Amazon Appstore, GO Launcher EX)"]
No rooting involved; just uncovering and enabling a setting. Pretty easy. From there, I either downloaded some apps from Amazon's app store or sideloaded them by copying the app files off my smartphone, sending them to my gmail account, and accessing my gmail account via the web browser. A bit time-consuming, but not very difficult to do.
Very helpful! Thanks so much.

Tumblr app?

Just got my Sony Tablet S today and it seems the market says the official Tumblr app is not compatible?
Is this the case for every tablet, or just this Sony one?
Thanks
I was able to download the tumblr application, it launches, but it won't recognize my wifi connection.

Stock email app APK? How to get market apps to added to the Nook "Library"

When I rooted my Wife's NT it broke the stock email app. Is the APK floating around anywhere so I can re-install it?
Also, has anyone figured out how to get apps from the App Market or Amazon Market to show up in the Nook Library?
My wife like the Nook stock GUI but I can not seem to added new apps to it that are not purchased through the B&N Market...
I meant to post this in Q&A. Feel free to move it! Thanks!

For the second part, yes.
Download Nook Color App Manager from the Market and launch it once. This will add it to your Nook Apps screen. You can then move it to one of the home screens (this, unfortunately, you have to do) and launch it from there. After that, you can select anything you've installed and add it to the stock Apps screen.
The only down side is that Market installed apps will not run from the My Apps screen. They have to be copied to one of the homescreens first.
Thanks the the tip on the "App Manager"
Strange that the app icons have to be launched from the home screen and not the "library". Any idea why it works that way?

[Q] Book apps and Amazon app store app not working

I just experience this and I wonder if any one else has had this happen. I tried to read a book I already downloaded to the Kindle app and the app refused to open it. I investigated and found that the Amazon app store and Nook app were experiencing the same thing. The rest of the apps I have seem to be fine as long as they where not loaded from the Amazon app store. Just recently the stock browser has started saying that well known sites such as Google and Amazon have certificate errors. I tried to download and reinstall the Amazon app store app and found I couldn't. It wasn't Amazon this time since I could download it on a PC and slide it to the tablet. It still would not work correctly. I am running stock 4349.

[Q] NOOKHWTest program

I am wondering if the NookHWTest app is a native B&N app. If so, why can we not see it in the Apps screen?
I have a Nook Tablet running 1.4.0 and have sideloaded Android Market and Go Launcher EX. They seem to work fine and I found the NookHWTest app listed in the apps that Go Launcher EX found on the tablet.
I am new at Android operating systems and the Nook Tablet.
Thank you in advance.
Have you opened it? To me it seems like a program for in-store diagnostic testing to make sure everything works. It's probably hidden because the normal user would have no need for it. That's my theory at least...
