Every update fails

Hello togehter,
I have problems updating my Razr. Since i removed (and not freezed) bloatware from my Razr I am not able to install updates. I tried to solve the problem by doing a full wipe and restore to factory settings. Unfortunately it didnt work.
Since i did the restore i am on the version 651.73.30.XT910 and didn' receive any updates until yesterday. There i got the update notification for 651.167.26.XT910. I downloaded it and startet the installation but this failed at 1/4 of the progress bar.
Has anyone an idea what to do to be able to install updates again?
Thx very much
Ole
Ole, the OTA update will first verify the validity of the OTA zip file and then runs a number of dependency checks on the system to ensure that the environment it is updating is exactly as it expects it.
One of the functions it calls during the pre update process is apply_patch_check("/system/build.prop"). So, if you are using a custom rom OR have tweaked the build.prop it more then likely will fail this test. It also checks for the existence of a number of system files so if you have frozen/removed any system apps this will also trigger an update failure.
I suggest you try this first
1. unfreeze/restore ALL system applications.
2. download voodoo root keeper or similar and backup su/root with it. Then un-root.
3. Now try again, if it still fails then you could either push a stock buil.prop to /system or you could flash a stock rom again (don't forget to backup).
He said he removed the bloatware, and he's asking for help here, so I'm guessing he has no backup of it.
You need to flash this flashboot file which will restore to original factory settings with bloatware:
Branding: RETAIL en.EU
Market Segment: EuropeAustraliaEMEA
Version: 651.73.30
Android Version: 2.3.5
SPU: 11 M1-2

Make sure battery is charged to full before flashing.

Hey guys,
when trying to flash the rom that you posted above, I get the error message from rsd lite "Failed flashing process. 1/11 flash cdt.bin "cdt.bin_signed" -> Phone returned FAIL; phone connected.
I installed ADB.. etc properly. What to do now?

[Q] (SOLVED) unable to root my S 2

I'm a newbie.
I tried to root my phone but just unable to root it.
I flash TWRP ( 2.5.0.0) via ODIN sucessfully with a green Pass . Reboot phone to recovery and Hit System and TWRP asked me to swipe if I want to root my phone. I did and my phone reboot after some action performed by TWRP.
I checked with root check basic and it said Root access is not properly installed on this device. I tried to run TWRP manager apk. It said to run the apk phone need rooted. So I know the phone has not been rooted.
I did the following to see if I can correct the problem.
1)Reboot to TWRP recovery and flash CWM_Root_Superuser_3.1.3_Busybox zip file. No success.
2) flash another zip: su-3.0.5-efgh-signed. No sucess.
3) flash another zip: Update superU-1.51 : No success.
4) Flash ClockworkMod Touch Recovery 6.0.2.8 on top of TWRP then try to run Install zip on SD card but CWTR return with an error "E: can not mount sd card "
Below is my phone spec.

You're supposed to root with odin and not with recovery. This is why cwm doesn't work correctly. Try framaroot (google it and install app) and select the appropriate root method (consult the framaroot q and a or root guide). And also, did you double check that the file you flashed was for your device? There should be device specific root files for your device and it is important to pay attention to thread details.
Regards, gsstudios
gsstudios,
Thanks for answer my call for help.
Unfortunately Framaroot does not work for my model. I searched the forum and somebody already tried but no luck.
Here's the right place to post :

Need a CWM or TWRP recovery file for my device.

I am just a junior member seeking for some help..
I am having problem in rooting my device.
Before starting, Here are the details regarding my device:
BRAND: VIVO
Model : Y22
Manufacturer: BBK
Software Version: PD1309W_EX_A_2.7.3
Kernel Version: 3.4.5
Compile time: 6/4/2015
Operating System: Funtouch OS_1.0
Android Version: 4.2.2
Mediatek Version: MT 6582
I want to root my phone because the internal memory of my phone is too low that I can't even install more than 4 apps other than the in-built apps.
Root gives me access to Link2SD & I can also try to increase the internal memory through some methods.
I tried several automated rooting software such as Iroot, Kingoroot, Framaroot etc... Everything resulted in failure.
Tried to root manually which failed to deliver the outcome which I desired for. For rooting I need to install a CWM or TWRP recovery. But I could not find a compatible custom recovery image for my device anywhere online.
I tried to flash a random recovery through fastboot to my device using proper USB and ADB drivers. But it gave me the following error:
"FastBoot recovery failed: partition 'recovery' not support flash"
I assumed the reason for that error to be the wrong recovery image.
Is there any manual method for rooting without custom recovery?
If there is one such method please kindly enlighten me regarding that.
If not, please provide me with a custom recovery image for my device so that I could flash and use it to root my device.
Hoping to get some help soon..
Thanks in advance.

Moto E2 stuck at Bootloader

Hi there,
My moto e 2nd gen got stuck in bootloader and won't boot.
The monitor displays as below:
**********************************************
Start Up Failed:
Your device didn't start up successfully.
Use the Software Repair Assistant on computer to repair your device.
Connect your device to your computer to get the Software Repair Assistant.

In the Recovery Mode display, I see "qe 0/0" which I learned from the other thread that it means the device has never been rooted.
Below is how this happened;
I used the app called KingRoot.
But the app says failed to root the device.
My phone acted weird so I uninstalled KingRoot.
Then I tried to remove the .exe file of KingRoot but failed somehow.
Right after I just turned on some secure feature (which warns the user that the app may be harmful?) of the device, the device went black and displayed the bootloader screen.
Below is what I have done so far:
Wipe cache partition (successful), then Reboot the system (Failed)
Wipe data/factory reset (successful), then Reboot the system(Failed)
Apply update from ADB with the stock Rom I found in the [http://firmware.center/firmware/Motorola/Moto E (2nd gen-2015)/Stock/XT1527/] but received error as below,
***********************************************
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:footer is wrong.
E:signature verification failed.
Installation failed.
************************************************
Then, I flashed three image files (recovery, boot, bootloader) using fastboot command (without unlocking bootloader).
I did not use the bootloader unlocking command.
So I thought the flashing would failed but somehow succeeded only with recovery.imag.
I believe my device has never been rooted and the bootloader has never been unlocked.
Is it possible that KingRoot has modified some system files even when the device has never been rooted and the bootloader has never been unlocked?
And how can I fix my bricked moto e?
Could someone help me out on this please? :crying:

Hi Thank you for the reply and pointing-out.
I re-posted the thread in E 2015.
Regarding flashing stock rom, I flashed three image files and two of them failed due to the older version.
Is it possible to flash the entire files without unlocking the bootloader?
I have got marshmallow stock rom and have never tried to flash.
Hope you reply me back in my thread in Moto E 2015 forum.
