iv been given a galaxy s2 to try fix as it was stuck on the boot screen .. (Samsung galaxy s2 logo)
iv attempted to use odin to flash the firmware but every time it fails
now all i get outside of odin mode is
(firmware encountered a issue please select recovery mode in kies and try again)
kies just says ...connecting for ages.
iv been trying for days. all different firmwares o2 branded uk to unbranded uk stock
no joy
iv reinstalled drivers. etc reinstalled kies. and tried 3 different versions of odin.
as well as 2 different cables..
anybody had this issue

You need to find Hopper 8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread & try everything in the thread over & over & over. The alternative is an expensive trip to a Samsung service centre or a new phone.

[Q] GT 9100T Vodafone Australia possibly soft bricked

Samsung galaxy s2 GT 9100T vodafone Australia
Tried to root with Odin, got to the stage of superoneclick 1.9.5 (the recommend version) and it basically crashed.
Now all I get is a Samsung galaxy SII logo along with a yellow warning signal (exclamation mark) and it just hangs there.
I can get into download mode still...but I cant seem to progress from there.
I have scoured this site for hours, Everything I look at has files which no longer downloads (multi upload doesn't seem to exist)
I am tearing my hair out trying to find out what to do.
I dont even know how to find my firmware version as I didnt write it down (stupid).
I have ordered a jig, but I don't know if that will help in any way.
Any advice?

You don't need jig if you can get to download mode still. All the jig does is get you to download mode (and reset the flash counter if you still have older bootloaders). Just download the latest Vodafone Australia firmware from samfirmware.com, and flash it.
To root, use CF-Root method. It's super easy, and basically one step.
Cf root is the easiest way, got a 9100t too, im not sure the superoneclick was suitable for the T so i didnt do it. i remembered i tried superoneclick and my antivirus killed adb and i got the same signal too, samsung p1000
you need to reflash, you can still save your phone.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S II stuck on boot, possible due to Chainfire 3D. What to do?

Hey guys.
My friend installed the official Jelly Bean update(XWLST) on his Indian Samsung Galaxy S II. He rooted it. He then installed Chainfire 3D, despite my warnings. Now, the phone shows the Galaxy S II logo and a yellow triangle with a ! when the power button is pressed, and then it switches off again. He gave it to me to fix it. I've tried flashing using Odin, no use. He used the Siyah S2 6.0b4.tar file to root it. I tried flashing it using that. Kies does not recognize the device, says it's not compatible with Kies 2.0, I tried factory reset from recovery mode, again, no use. I don't know what else to do. Please help me guys. Thanks in advance,
Androman 117.
Get a stock rom from Samfirmware with Odin, flash it. If it doesn't work, try another one. And another. And another.
That's the only way you're fixing this. NAND could be borked if it won't take a flash.
Also, you're being rather vague; 'I've tried flashing using Odin' - flashed what exactly with Odin ?

[Q] GT-i9100 Soft brick after factory reset

I have a problem with my GT I9100 galaxy S2.
Recently I rooted my phone and unlocked it to all networks and it worked perfectly. After that I did a factory reset and my phone got stuck in Logo+yellow triangle and I can't get it past that. I can't go to recovery/wipe but only to download mode.
I tried flashing ROM with official firmware I9100XWLSD_I9100VIPLSC_VIP (in Odin v1.85) but it didn't work. Last thing I did is that I flashed kernel (cm_raw_kernel_i9100_4.3_mali_r3p2) (in Odin v1.85) and it passed but it's again stuck on logo+triangle.
What should I do next? I'm quite new to all this..

Tryed rooting my Samsung Galaxy Edge Note SM-N915T but it failed on Odin

Tryed rooting my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Edge Note SM-N915T but it failed on Odin using the CF Auto root, now I'm getting the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue " when ever I turn the phone on. I can get it into download mode. But its not showing up on Kies or Odin now, just keeps trying to connect on kies. I was going to try the firmware upgrade and initialization with kies, but there isn't a S/N on the back under the battery, just the IMEI number, tryed using it but says incorrect S/N. My question is it likely bricked or is there maybe some other things to try just to get it back to stock. I've tryed researching, but haven't found much on this model. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Managed to get it back up and running and rooted.
