Using a factory cable, I got my bricked Kindle Fire HDX 7" to show up as a "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" in device manager. Does anyone know what to do now?
EDIT: works with regular cable too
Also, does any developer want to do anything while I have my HDX in this mode? I got a replacement for this tablet from Amazon so I don't care if this tablet is damaged (hopefully for a good cause).

Help with only a Blank Screen?
Hey all I was using a bootloader unlock and I hosed it (to make a long story short I didn't turn off software certification) up now all my kindle does is display a blank screen. No "kindle" in grey or bootloop, just a blank screen, I got a fastboot cable but still no luck with my Windows 8 machine being able to recognize/see my kindle. My question is: is there any hope for my kindle ever working again? Do I just need to hold the power button down for 5 mins (I saw that suggested)? I also have a linux box is there any software that would work with Ubuntu? Any answers are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Face palm.....
There's already a whole thread here started for this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2795602
So when trying to roll back to stock ROM I clearly messed something up and am now left with Kindle that does nothing but sit there, when connected to PC it was showing up as QHSUSB_BULK. From that I was able to locate the Qualcomm drivers so it shows up as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" I have guides for fixing phones' stuck in this mode, but cant seem to find anything for the Kindle. I even have the app "MSM8974.exe" which will write images back to the MOne phone when they get bricked and are stuck in this mode. I am trying to see if I cant get that to write the BIN file to the Kindle, but so far nothing has worked. I have come across a few threads here, but so far nothing has worked (holding power button for a few mins to get past this mode doesn't work), ADB doesn't work, nor fastboot (or atleast I don't know how to get them to work). I know what COM port the phone is on, so I was wondering if anyone had a way to push a stock BIN/ZIP/Update when the device in stuck in this QHSUSB_BULK mode.
Any help would be awesome. thanks for reading.

Unfortunately, there is no known recovery from this condition. You can google around for answers but none work reliably. As you are discovering Amazon devices are not like others: easy to brick and nearly impossible to recover. Sorry for your loss.

That's what I was afraid of.. dang it all. Oh well. I bought the misses a new one just in case this one was messed up. I'm going to get a straight android tablet for me, that way I'm starting off with a less locked device.
Thanks though. I will still check from time to time to see if anyone finds a fix for this.
Found drivers and such for the bulkmode here:
Download dseo13b.zip unzip it and keep it on desktop. (for getting windows into testing mode to install the unsigned drivers, I have 10 and had to reboot windows and modify its boot sequence to disable driver signage)

Not sure with LG maybe lgup or 1 of their tools, I saved xiaomi device as long as pc recognises it should be a way, update Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader from device manager and restart pc disabling driver signature varification. I had to put the phone in download mode.Thats best I can do someone with more knowledge will better explain. When PC doesn't find the phone that's the end without special cable, remove any sharp objects near your brother

Have you not got a recovery installed anymore?
I Can do nothing. It wont Turn on. The only thing is to plug it into the pc
have it powered off
hold powerup and connect it to the pc
does it start in download mode?
if yes you should be able to upload the stock rom with lgup
Keep us posted how or if you can resurrect the phone.
Can't Go to Download Mode still recognised as Qualcomm 9008

If you can't re-flash a stock ROM with LG UP, perhaps you can take matters in your own hand. But you have to viod the warranty for this. Also, you have to be able to enter fastboot mode.
Since you are from GB, I assume that you have the European H850, which can be bootloader-unlocked.
If so, you can try the following:
- Unlock bootloader
- Flash TWRP
- Flash the complete 10E ZIP file
I don't know if this works, but if your phone is messed up anyways, you can as well try this before throwing it away.
I can't do anything no charging, no turning on. Nothing. The only thing is that it is recognised as Qualcomm
Fix guide for xiaomi
If it's possible for xiaomi can't see why there isn't a way for lg.

Did you try this

Sounds like you can use miflash/xiaomi tool for any qualcomm snapdragon device.

Bumping
Yes, but the tool are not for the phone and won't recognise it
you didnt specify what happens when you plug in usb. the only thing you said was that you can do it instead of turning on or anything else.
When i plug in the phone the phone is still dead only the processor will be recognised. I need a tool to flash the software through QHUSB. I found boarddiag but no systemimage.tot File for the phone
Follow these steps:
1. Remove the battery
2. Put back the battery
3. Hold the volume Up and connect the USB
What happens after that? Do you have the "firmware update" screen on your phone or is still death?
Still death

Hey check Windows Certificate Manager (certmgr.msc). Remove ANY Certifications with "USB [something] TEST003" from "Trusted Publishers and Trusted basic certificate something (sorry I have to translate it but it is the 2nd from Current User Directory.
If you have ANY Quallcom drivers (uninstall it).
Find Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 device under Ports (COM & LPT) and note the COMxy port (in my case it is COM3).
the same happened to me, you could solve it if you were telling me how please ...

I think is possible to recover the LG G5 with this tool, but require a full compatible rom in that format, impossible to find.
Here another LG G5 bricked without the "Download" mode screen, only recognizer in USB with "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008".
Hi-
My old moto E first generation has recently bricked, and just stopped working - all that happens is when I plug it in and hold the power button, the notification led blinks a few times. When I try to enter fastboot, nothing happens at all.
When I plug the bricked device into my Windows 10 pc, It shows up in Devices and Printers as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDloader 9008 (COM4)". In device manager, however, it pops up, if at all, as "Unknown USB device (Device Descriptor Request failed)".
Please help!
Thanks in advance for your time.

Hello, I will describe my problem as follows
After using my cool1 for a month with no problems i decided to flash JUI 7.0.1 (with gapps etc...) on my Cool1 via TWRP but after doing it i realized it has many bugs and apps doesn't work properly. So i decided to return to EUI. After flashing the original stock firmware and rebooting the phone automatically switches off.
Power button not working, i cannot get into recovery and i tried all combinations of buttons without success.
When i connect it to the computer the red led start blinking and my computer recognizes it ONLY in Device Manager as QUALCOMM HS-USB Diagnostic 900E (COM3).
i have all the latest drivers installed.
i tried QFIL and it also recognizes it as QUALCOMM HS-USB Diagnostic 900E (COM3) and after setting everything when i click "Download" i get this error:
Start Download
COM Port number:3
Switch To EDL
Download Fail:Switch To EDL FailFailed to Switch to Emergency Download mode
Finish Download
