Hi-
My old moto E first generation has recently bricked, and just stopped working - all that happens is when I plug it in and hold the power button, the notification led blinks a few times. When I try to enter fastboot, nothing happens at all.
When I plug the bricked device into my Windows 10 pc, It shows up in Devices and Printers as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDloader 9008 (COM4)". In device manager, however, it pops up, if at all, as "Unknown USB device (Device Descriptor Request failed)".
Please help!
Thanks in advance for your time.

Using a factory cable, I got my bricked Kindle Fire HDX 7" to show up as a "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" in device manager. Does anyone know what to do now?
EDIT: works with regular cable too
Also, does any developer want to do anything while I have my HDX in this mode? I got a replacement for this tablet from Amazon so I don't care if this tablet is damaged (hopefully for a good cause).

Help with only a Blank Screen?
Hey all I was using a bootloader unlock and I hosed it (to make a long story short I didn't turn off software certification) up now all my kindle does is display a blank screen. No "kindle" in grey or bootloop, just a blank screen, I got a fastboot cable but still no luck with my Windows 8 machine being able to recognize/see my kindle. My question is: is there any hope for my kindle ever working again? Do I just need to hold the power button down for 5 mins (I saw that suggested)? I also have a linux box is there any software that would work with Ubuntu? Any answers are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Two Crows Seeing

The simplest way is to take it to xiaomi service center. But if you have void your warrant, then try to boot into edl mode using test point method. Google it for more info.
Yes , if you u can't get to fastboot or find the device in adb you will have to do test point ............
My phone has the exact same problem, and it's not even booting into fastboot, just a flashing red light. (everything is vanilla with no root access or unlocked bootloader)
Tried this method ?
Fastboot to EDL Tool - No more Testpoint needed

Power off phone, hold vol up and down and plug usb cable to pc and phone. If it doesn't work use a testpoint method.

I bricked my LG Optimus L90 and whenever I turn it on it gets stuck on the white T-Mobile screen. AFAIK this should just be a soft brick and it should be fixable. I'm able to boot into download mode and connect my phone to my PC via USB cable. When I do this, though, it fails to install the "MTP USB Device" driver and the device status says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". What am I doing wrong? Should I be doing this a different way? Or could my phone actually be hard bricked?

Hello, I will describe my problem as follows
After using my cool1 for a month with no problems i decided to flash JUI 7.0.1 (with gapps etc...) on my Cool1 via TWRP but after doing it i realized it has many bugs and apps doesn't work properly. So i decided to return to EUI. After flashing the original stock firmware and rebooting the phone automatically switches off.
Power button not working, i cannot get into recovery and i tried all combinations of buttons without success.
When i connect it to the computer the red led start blinking and my computer recognizes it ONLY in Device Manager as QUALCOMM HS-USB Diagnostic 900E (COM3).
i have all the latest drivers installed.
i tried QFIL and it also recognizes it as QUALCOMM HS-USB Diagnostic 900E (COM3) and after setting everything when i click "Download" i get this error:
Start Download
COM Port number:3
Switch To EDL
Download Fail:Switch To EDL FailFailed to Switch to Emergency Download mode
Finish Download

Any suggestion that would help, please... I think it's hard bricked because it cannot get into recovery nor the fastboot mode. completely dead only Red led blinking and QUALCOMM HS-USB Diagnostic 900E (COM3).
Thank you
*Let's all be nice. If you won't write for me, show me the right places, and i'll thank you. And please thank me too if I've helped you.

It doesn't turn on or charge, when I try to go in bootloade mode it doesn't go, the led light just blink while I connect to charger and when I connect to it PC it give me Qualcomm.....
Maybe I had the same problem with a Nexus 4 some years ago. You can try to google the name of the driver (I think you are under Windows) and find some guides to fix it because I fixed the Nexus with an LG software. I can also try to find for something if you provide the complete name of the driver.
Sorry for my bad english.
Edit: Try also with "QPST", and tell if it works.
Well, I have the same problem with my Moto E XT1511, when I try to turn it on, the LED only flashes, and the same thing when I try to enter Fastboot (with power button and volume down), when I plug it in to my PC it says (Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 COM6) (In Printers and Devices).
Any idea what could we/I do?
