Hi every one . i am having issue with my Note SGH-I717D .
when ever i start my note it display the samsung logo with model than telus 4g logo & than screen go black for some second than it vibrate again & shows samsung logo with model name & goes into CWM .
every time i flashed Stock\custom rom via odin\CWM respectively but it does the same thing mentioned above.
i have also tried flashing stock\custom kernal also via odin\CWM but the issue is still the same.
only one option is left for me to restore it via backup thorough CWM, Anyone out there can provide me backup of note i1717D so tha i can restore it back to normal
Solved - SGH1717D - (Telus) (Reboot Issue)
Hello,
My phone had the same problem, and even the phone repair shops said they can't fix it. I finally found the solution:
At stockroms.net they have the file StockROMs.net-SGH-I717D_Telus_1_20120630122852_xxzc97o421.zip which will solve your problem.
Just pull your battery, re-insert, and hold power, home, and down volume to get it to the loader screen. Do the flash using the latest Odin, and you should be set.

I tried to root my S3 (i9300) that I just bought from a friend with a custom ROM and it got bricked. After following most of the guides from similar threds, I was able to make the boot screen appear but now it won't get past that!!!
it shows an error at the top left conner in green color reading as follow: jump kernel
can anyone kindly advise me or guide me to how I can make the phone work again?
If it had a custom rom then it was already rooted. Follow the guide in general forum to flash back to stock rom via odin on your pc. If you can access download mode (from off hold volume down, home then power button until the Samsung logo appears) then thus should work.
Make sure you read and fully understand what you are doing otherwise you'll end up with a full brick.

Hi All,
This is the first time I ever tried to install CWM in order to install Lollipop in my Samsung Galaxy Note 1 (N7000) [India]. I flashed ROM "T210.CWM.6.0.4.5.recovery.tar" (attached with thread) using Odin. Uncheked Auto-Reboot option. When I re-started my mobile it shows Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 in startup screen with exclamaion (warning) symbol on startup. After a couple of seconds I can see only horizontal lines and phone shuts down. I see battery charging screen for a second and then device get shutdown. Now Odin cannot detect it and ADB sometimes shows it as offline. Is there any way to fix this problem? Please reply asap. Thanks in advance.
Warm Regards
You need to boot into recovery and flash the ROM from TWRP
Most stock Samsung ROMs dont support custom recovery
Chuck the ROM and the other things you want (Gapps, SuperSU) but make sure they are the right ones for the device and then put them on an external sd card and insert it, there are plenty of tutorials on flashing too
I noticed that the recovery you linked is for a T210, by my knowledge thats for a Galaxy Tab 3 7.0? Which i have running NoleKat 4.4 btw
If it is for another device than yours then its not great news.

As P_Wheeler said, your recovery file is for a different phone , this will create unstable systems / bootloops / errors.... F
irstly make sure you can get your phone back to stock, then flash the right recovery tru ODIN, and install your ROM in recovery...
I have tried everything on YouTube videos and on other forums, and nothing has worked so far... This is what has happened:
1) I flashed a custom font zip file, which I later realised was only for the HTC One M8
2) As phone rebooted, got stuck at the "glowing" Samsung logo (the 3rd one, after the model number and the jingle)
3) Phone stuck at that logo, have tried LOADS OF METHODS and nothing has worked
Please help!
PS - I am new to these things and have rarely "dabbled" in this kind of stuff, all I've done so far (which worked fine) is root my phone, install CWM Recovery, install a modded version of Android 4.3 (?) which was designed to make your phone run faster (which it did). Please help! Have I broken my phone?! :crying:
Search for the latest stock ROM for your phone on sammobile.com and flash the ROM using Odin.
Some good info here too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/samsung-galaxy-s3-sticky-roll-thread-t2344125

Hello,
my galaxy note 2 (was running stock rom, latest SW) suddenly got bricked after battery reached 0%. When turned on was stuck on SAMSUNG logo then after some time being stuck on the logo the android guy poped up with some quick recovery menu (nothing helped - clearing cache, restoring factory settings).
Kies and reloading SW didnt help. I managed to bring it to life by installing recovery called TWRP using ODIN.
Unfortunately the IMEI is now 0049..... which is some generic one. Resulting unability to use the network.
How to fix this IMEI issue and get my original one back ?
Any idea or do I have to take it to service center where they have the service box ?
If I need to provide more data please ask.
