what is the model of the gps chip inside the i9100 phone?
is it SiRFstarIV GSD4t ?
thanks
Not sure what it is but all the reviews says that that GPS works flawlessly now. Including engadget who gave it 9/10. Besides, it better because my vibrants gps is the only issue i have with the phone and it can get real annoying.
thanks,
it's just that i'm looking for the specification and manufacturer of this chip
to see stuff like:
accuraccy / Autonomous Positional Error in cm
fix time in miliseconds
coldstart first fix time
average fix time
Velocity Accuracy in m/s
Speed sensitivity in m/s
Heading sensitivity in deg
Continuous Tracking power consumption in mW
staff like that...

I thought the GPS was integrated in tp the Exynos chip

I was just about to say that! It is an integrated part of the chipset, as this keeps production costs down, aswell as reducing physical space taken by chips
yep!

i have found this:
samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/productInfo.do?fmly_id=844&partnum=Exynos%204210
which let you download the specification and documentation about the exynos,
does someone here have access, to this download?
and can send me the specifications of it?
thanks
The Exynos chipset does not provide GPS functionality by itself and the phone does indeed use the SiRFstarIV GSD4t chip. At least this it what I assume based on finding a billion references to "gsd4t" code by searching through a ROM using a hex editor.
Here is some information about the chip: http://www.csr.com/products/25/sirfstariv-gsd4t
Whenever I check in quadrent standard system info, always says that current cpu freq is 1024mhz...I shutdown all background app with advanced task killer and it;s same frequency...
I remember earlier with old FW it was about 254mhz when no apps running...\
Anu answer???
Hi,
maybe the display is wrong !?
Did you try another app ?
I like Android System Info, cause it shows overall CPU Load...
Greetz from Germany
Try 'cpu spy' from google play store to monitor your cpu usage.
use gl benchmark its a good app for bechmarking
Hi all,
I have a - stupid - question about kernels used by the DSC Roms.
The should be freq mini = 128, but is it possible to set this mini freq CPU without using a CPU Tuner program ? i'm using CPU Tuner to enable this mini freq. but this program like other ones use about 20 mo of ram, seems quite a lot of ram used to gain some battery life...
JB
DSC ROM has CPU Master Free included.
Besides, you can edit /etc/init.streak.post_boot.sh
Thanks for the answer.
I uninstalled CPU master Free a long time ago, and even when i upgraded to 0.74 CPU Master was not installed.
But It's not an affair, i prefer CPU Tuner.
I'll try anyway to edit /etc/init.streak.post_boot.sh to see if i can use it without CPU Tuner.
JB
Edit : seems to work if i believe on System panel ! thanks a lot !
Hi,
is there an app to see what GPU frequencies the phone uses ?
Like CPU Spy but for GPU.
Thx
no dint find any there r apps to test gpu...
Can i somehow decrease graphic quality of games in Nox APP player to reduce CPU usage?
Or make the games use more GPU and less CPU ? I mean can i move emulation task weight to the GPU?

Try GLTOOLS https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-gltools-1-29-t2828630
Minimum android req is 2.2 and higher but it is recommended through testing that you have 4.1 or higher. Also you need root and custom recovery for it (TWRP for example). Hope it helps
