So i searched and searched but couldnt find anything so here it goes, i have a s3 i9300 and i updated it to 4.3 by using odin. and now i cant connect to any computer or odin and even if it does, sometimes, odin stucks at get pit for mapping. i downoaded pit and tried to flash it too but it wont. i have stock recovery so cant do anything from the phone. Help would be much appreciated!
If odin gets stuck then it is connected .
Reads as you need a new motherboard .
But you can try below as warranty is void /

You have now probably bricked your device you should never repartition or nand erase unless you know exactly what you are doing and I mean exactly! I am sorry to say I think your phone is not recoverable! Someone put me straight if I am wrong..
I read somewhere on xda that try to repartition by doing a nand erase. It still goes in download mode. I once bricked it before by flashing a corrupt rom wasn't downloaded completely. But it didn't give get pit for mapping error. Is it possible that pit file is missing? I flashed 4.3 from 4.1.2 it shouldn't give this error. Wht do you think is the possible cause?

Hello guys!
My problem is that I wanted to root my freind's I9100, but something went totally wrong...
Now my problem is that the bootloader doesn't seem to work... I hold the power button, the screen lights up, nothing happens for 1-2 minutes, it crashes and it all begins again.
The only thing that is working (I think) is the Download mode...
I tried to flash VillainROM v1.1 (I read that it would solve the problem somewhere), but it didn't work...
Also with that ROM I can get to the recovery, but unfortunately it can't find the storage (Of course I have a backup on there...)
I'm really worried right now, because it's not mine...
Please help me! :crying:
If you can get into Download mode, then flash a stock rom and see if that fixes your problem.

Didn't work for me... Any other ideas?
EDIT: I waited some minutes and now it says "KERNEL PANIC UPLOAD MODE" any ideas?
EDIT2: I've done a lot of research now and it seems like I have an emmc-brick which can only be fixed by re-partitioning... does anyone know where I can get the PIT file and if that would fix it? THANKS
what method did u use to root??
I didn't root it, i installed CWM recovery, wiped system, and then when i tried to wipe data it crashed...

I don't think that this makes a difference, root basically is just some modified system files, isn't it?
and with a new rom the old system partition gets wiped completely
I dont think its super bricked if u can power on the device. try to get into download mode and flash a stock rom. If you have warranty you better take your phone to samsung repair centre

That's what I tried about 15 times...
Only the rom, with bootloader, with all 4 parts, with pit, only pit, only kernel, pit & all 4 parts, nothing seems to work...
when I try all 4 parts it's stuck at DATAFS (or something like that)
& when I flashed VillianROM v1.1 it gets me into recovery, but it always says that it can't find E:\*
Please help me & thanks for you who tries / tried to help me...

No it cant be. If you can power on your device its not super bricked..If it was super bricked your phone would be just a piece of plastic that gets heat up near the camera area. you should have just flashed a safe kernel like siyah using odin. Its perfectly safe. you must have ticked the repartition on Odin
Your data partition is corrupted. And only flashing a .pit file would save your phone. If it doesnt, i think samsung is the only way...

That exclamation mark error is telling something bad has happen with earlier flash, ie unfinished flash, corrupt files etc. Back in the old days people usually use usb jig to force phone into nornal download mode again. That happen to me once and what i did is remove battery, hold the three button combination for download mode and while still holding those buttons, force reinsert the battery. Phone should boot into download mode and should be detected by pc and can be flashed via odin. Good luck with it

Doesn't sound good. I'm not familiar enough with your phone to be much more help. Trying to find a pit file that'll help is very dicey. The only suggestion I have is make sure the stock rom is correct and check it's md5. Go to sammobile.com for the ROM and extract the .tar.md5 file out of the zip you download using 7 zip. Use that file in PDA in odin with only auto reboot checked.
Hopefully someone who is more familiar with your phone can step in. Good luck to you.

You're not hard bricked so that's the good news. Not sure where you got the stock rom but sammobile.com has skyways worked for me. Sometimes you have to keep trying to flash it in odin. I've had cases where it took a few tries. But make sure you flash on PDA with only auto reboot checked.

Hi,
I am trying to flash my S2 using Odin, and no matter what I try I always get the same result.
It doesn't work.
The phone will go in to the mod where I press the volume down button, home and power, but if I try to press up, home and power notkinh happens.
It all started a few days a go when it started getting stuck in a loop, just showing samsung mobile logo and it won't go further than that.
When I start Odin, it recognises the device, starts normally, and then it says Complete(Write) operation failed.
I've attached a screenshot, please help if you can.
If I try adding the pit file then the situation in the second picture happens, it goes on and on and on..
thank you in advance

Check if you have kies running in the background. Kill any instant of kies. Or some software such as bluestacks.
Then try again. It takes only less than 1 minute or so for kernal flashing

Flash 4.1.2 stock with Odin. See if it boots up. If not factory reset in recovery and see if it boots. For root flash philz kernel either in stock recovery or with Odin. Like its been pointed out by mb...you will be lucky if you haven't damaged it beyond "flashing something to fix it" repair.
Also why are you using a pit file??!??!?

Sorry for open another topic about Galaxy S lll I9300 brick, but after search a solution I haven't found any, because this looks a strange brick (at least for me, this is a friend's device and it's been a long time I don't put my hands on a Samsung to do some mod).
I try to explain better as I can, sorry for my poor english in advance.
My friend told me it bricked during an official update, I don't know if debug is enabled and right now I can't see or enable by myself.
I can boot up but I only see the splash screen, I can boot up to download mode, I can boot up to recovery (stock).
The problem is Odin fails any flash I've tried, Heimdal fails too, sideloading (with a custom rom and in recovery mode) fails too, flash from external sd fails again.
When I boot on recovery mode I see a lot of errors (like: can't mount cache, can't mount this, can't mount that ect..).
I wanted to try to flash a 4 file fw, maybe it works different then a one file fw, but I'm not able to find one in any place, could someone give a help?
Thanks in advance.
Definitely seems like an odd one. Have you tried flashing a stock ROM in recovery via external SD at all?

Yes, but seems external sd isn't recognized, when I select it to flash I see only . ./ symbols.
This is how appear in recovery mode, trying to flash from external sd and when I try to wipe data/cache.
Never seen that before but I would guess your partition is screwed. If you can, find a stock PIT file along with a stock ROM and try flashing through Odin. I would suggest a little more research first, but I think this might solve your problem.
Let me know.
