I agree working very smooth. I will say that the screenshots that i saw thru the link had a modified battery in the status bar which is not in the actual ROM.
if you are able to do requests, is the lg2 qslide able to be used. it has more available apps included and they now put out an tool to make apps q-slide compatible which does not work on this version of Qslide.
Either way thanks for another stock based Rom.

I have a couple of questions since this rom has some g2 apps in it. It's it possible to use the dialer or the lg home apks from the g2 on this phone or are they not compatible?

A lot of Kitkat roms are still work-in-process. Especially they are at a stage where features are added often. When the focus is on expansion of features rather than refinement of what's in place already, things tend to be more buggy

Me and a few friends have an awesome Rom idea but none of us are skilled developers. We are looking for a developer or developers to construct the rom. We well be willing to donate and I have a connection who would be interested and willing to donate should we say efficiently. I will create icons, boot animations, wallpapers, graphics etc. As this is more my forte. If it really takes off we might do a wiki or site. We want this Rom to be predominantly Optimus V based. So if your interested PM and we cab discuss details and the actual idea.

I agree that if you're after a custom theme with a different launcher for the VM670 there's little to no reason to start all over from scratch. In fact with a bit of practice I bet you guys could do it yourselves.
Basing it off of something established like CM7 and IHO means that you get easy access to bug fixes and other updates.
I think the best route would be to ask for instructions on how to reskin and replace what you want. As most of the stuff in CM7 is BSD or Apache licensed you don't have to redistribute your source (altho, doing so is, IMO, a good idea).
Blarf is the man, he is the one that does most of the work so we don't have to

Just flash IHO, and then flash your themes. Or install your launcher afterwards. Seriously, there's no need for an entirely new ROM.

This is your opinion and Ill respect it.
But IMO you are wrong. What if they figure out a way to improve on IHO?
Or maybe there are people that would rather have a different launcher then adw. I support anderweb but I prefer a different launcher then adw. A fully themed rom including lock screen and all the other stuff the theme changer would also be nice to have.
The more options we have the better off we are. Having just one flavor of IHO only leads to boredom.
I agree with you on this one eollie. We will be using a pure IHO and expanding. It may be a little as we are learning the ropes and want the end product to be exactly what were looking for.

I love this idea. Just wish i knew how to dev. If this ROM gets off the ground, i'd definitely flash it and donate. I was using AOSP's ROM, which appears it may be abandoned now, so i tried IHO, which for some reason keeps rebooting my phone, so i'm looking for a good ROM to run on my Optimus V.

They're always improving on IHO, and there are new builds out multiple times a week. BobZ's IHO build uses Launcherpro instead of ADW, and MrG has posted a file to flash with the IHO ROM to give you the stock launcher instead of ADW. Check them out here - https://github.com/inferiorhumanorgans/android_device_lge_thunderc/wiki/Binary . You can always just put your theme on top of that, no?

Hello there. I originaly made Frostmod for the og droid, but being that I recently got a nexus one, I thought i would bring it over here. Frostmod is gingerbread rom based on Cyanogenmod 7.2.0 RC1. I designed it to be highly customizable, and it has almost no native theming, so you can make it look the way you want. It includes my own app frostmod toolbox app which allows you to switch recoveries, launchers, boot animations, fonts, reboot, and will eventualy allow lower level system settings. this ROM also includes many extra theme options. In the theme manager you will find my frostmod theme which gives the device a nice blue look, and in the cyanogenmod lockscreen settings, you will find my frostmod lockscreen style. Bellow you will find the changelog, and many screen shots. . I hope you guys enjoy this. If you do please press the thanks button
Once you install go into the about settings menu, and click on the frostmod version. It will give you advice, the change log and more
Download: Frostmod V2.0 Passion:

Thanks goes to
cyanogenmod, for all of their amazing developent, hardwork, and because it is the base of my ROM.
Koush and Madmaxx82 for the recoveries used in my app.
Screen shots were taken with my theme frostmod locksreen style on, and ics clock font installed.

Hi, I tried CM9 on my Nexus One but found it is not good enough for daily use. CM7.2 RC1 seems good for me. I would like to give your ROM a try. Before that, I'd like to check with you that if a2sd or similar is supported by your ROM? Thanks.
Btw, is there anyway to implement MIUI style digital battery display on status bar, like MeDroid CM9 does? thanks.
Couple of things,
1) Can you offer a setting to get the torch to light up when long pressing home button on lockscreen?
2) Does this ROM come with DSPManager and other CM apps?
3) Can we use S2E (a2ext script that only works with CM)?
4) Is this just a straight port from the Droid or did you build it from scratch on our device?
Thanks.

It shouldn't be that hard. I could even add add it to frostmod toolbox so you could switch between aosp and miui camera.
This is definitely smooth and quite fast - have put it through the paces and no bugs. Thanks for the nice work, I'll be using this for my daily driver for a while!
its the only reason why i keep going back to use miui (just for the advanced camera features) this would be the perfect rom if it had that option

I had no idea such customization could be done with a single app without a custom rom.
i disable several icons, moved my clock to the cetner, removed am/pm, made my notification panel transparent, and several other tweaks, and there doesn't seem to be any affect on battery or performance that i can tell.
here is the original thread
it is for the AT&T S4 but most things work for our verizon S4.
**Must be rooted**
To use
1. install the exposed framework
2. open up the Xposed installer and hit "Install/update"
3. install the app found here (i'm on version 3)
4. open up the exposed installer, go to the modules tab, and put a check mark in the "nottach Xposed [3.0]
5. Open the Nottach Xposed program and make your changes, then use that app to reboot. It doesn't seem to ask for root permission until you use it to reboot.
Update: I'm now on v4 but many of the newer tweaks don't work for my stock odexed rom, but if you deodexed many additional tweaks work including the circle battery.
Update2: I'm now on v5 still stock odexed and circle battery now works!! I will be installing MyComputerDoctors deodexed rom so i can get rid of GPS Recticle with this, then ascetically i'm not sure i really need much more...
Update3: I'm not on Scott's CleanROM Lite 1.1 Odexed and NottachXposed v7. Everything that i use still works. I've added a few more caps to show the possibilities. (give Scott some thanks for his ROM, with his rom and this app, i really don't know what more i need)
Update4: 1 user reported that NottachXposed v8 did not work for them. I'm on CleanROM Lite 1.2 DeOdexed and v8 works just fine and no issues upgrading. I also see that Nottach has removed the older versions, if this is a problem for anyone then let me know and i'll get you a previous version.
Update5: I'm still on CleanROM Lite 1.2 DeOdexed. Installed Nottach Xposed v10 and everything is still great. If something doesn't work then try updating Xposed Installer (not the program itself, but the framework it installs)
please note that i'm not a developer. I just know it works. Also, don't waist any thanks on me, please give them to the 2 developers that i've linked above (Nottach, rovo89) thank them as many times as you can, and then maybe a few to mbh87 as they are the first to point it out that it works for us on the Verizon S4.

Paviano if you can give me your stock lghome.apk
Maybe my lghome version is old and in v10d its update launcher.
Let's give a try! :fingers-crossed:
I have created a mod using the VRTheme template to allow several of the stock HTC widgets to work on other launchers. I have only tested this on my rooted, but stock AT&T M9 running the 1.32.502.31 ROM.
To use this mod, you have to have Sense running on your ROM and the widgets already need to be installed. This mod is only designed to modify the widgets so that you can use them on launchers besides Sense Home.
To make this work, I decompiled the above apk files and dug around in the manifest to try and figure out what was preventing them from showing up in the other widget pickers. I figured out that for each of the widgets, there was an xml folder that controls aspects of the widget. In these xml files I found a line that was: htcControlFlag="1" By removing this from the xml or changing it to htcControlFlag="0", the widget is now free to be used. I recompiled the widget apk files and then just removed the modded xmls and put them all in this VRTheme template.
If you try this mod, please be sure to backup your system partition first. Also, ask any questions and I can elaborate on this thread later. Or add more of the widgets.
I would love some feedback from people running the international versions.
Updated 7/20/15: I found that the Android 5.1 version of the rom requires a new MOD. So I renamed the original one to reference the 5.0.2 ROM and the new one to reference the 5.1 ROM.
Updated 8/16/2015: I am told that the 5.1 version works on the older 5.0.2 ROMs. I have not verified this myself, but others have.
Change Log:
V 1.2
CalculatorWidget
V 1.1
HtcDataStripWidget
HtcMusicWidget
V 1.0
HtcCalendarWidgets
HtcContactWidgets
HtcWeatherClockWidget

Hey that's great, but I think Venom Roms already have this in them. I used to run Venom on my M8 and I could use these widgets in Nova Launcher. That was actually my inspiration for figuring out how to do it.
Updated the OP to add a new MOD for the 5.1 ATT ROM. I am still not sure if these work on the equivalent international versions, so if anyone tries it please let me know.
Hi thanks for this. Is it possible to do the same for the htc music widget?
Many thanks.

I updated the mod for 5.1 to add the following:
HtcDataStripWidget
HtcMusicWidget
Thanks for this.
Been wanting to do away with the dock on sense launcher since forever. Unfortunately cant find any mods to do this and to use all the homescreen on my m8
Using your mod I am now able to use another launcher.
Thanks again.

So did the mod I made with the 5.1 files actually work on the 5.0.2 ROM? If so, that is great news. Because I couldn't get it to work the other way around.

V1.2 is up with the calculator widget included. It takes a minute or so for the widget to fully appear, but it works once it shows up on the screen.
Thanks for you work! :good:
