I have a .kml file with dozens of points of interest. I would like to be able to open those POIs with and Augmented reality app. I do not want these POIs published publicly. Just an app that you can open .kml files with for private use only. My Google Foo may be weak, but I can't seem to find something like this. Does this exist? Thanks.

According to a comment on MakeUseOf.com:
In general iPhone Apps will not work on anything but iOS.
If you developed the App yourself [and have the Source Code] it depends on the tools you have used.
If you used Xcode all the way the App would be in Objective-C [which is hardly supported outside the Apple world] with Cocoa APIs [which are Apple only].
This means you would have to re-write the entire App.
If you used some other base (Java, C++) and some porting platform there might be a chance that there are tools to port it to other mobile platforms as well.
i think the answer the OP is looking for is a yes or no
as far as im aware its not available on android yet. Cant recommend an alternative as i dont really know what instagram does.
I'm new to the Android app development world, and have only completed the various tutorials in the first few stages of training with eclipse. I'm learning a lot, but a recent project has fallen on my lap and I'm wondering how to go about this if I were to do it.
Basically the project is for a website that already has a very fluid mobile website, and I'm wondering what I can search or where I can look to focus on building an app that is essentially a 'frame' that hosts the mobile site. Not an app that literally launches the browser, but an app that will open and display the mobile site within app. Is this even possible?
I've done massive amounts of Google searches and no matter how I type the question or keywords I'm looking for its always just a bunch of 'We'll build your app in three easy steps!' sites, so please know that I didn't come straight here to dish out my question.

I guess the concept of WebView is used for displaying web contents inside an app.
Hey all! So I've been looking all over forums and the internet searching for an app that similarly functions to the app/website for the wearedata ad campaign made by ubisoft for watchdogs. However, I can't find any apps that do the same or similar!
What I'm looking for is an app that aggregates all social media posts and places them on a map (simlarly to what the wearedata website does) although differently to that have it so that you can look anywhere on the rather than being limited. Anyone know an app that can do this?
Just find it interesting and I like nose'ing around xD
Is anyone aware of a search application that's good excellent for local files?
I'm aware that there are some file managers that will do this, and even the google app will find some things. But I'm looking for something that leverages root to search absolutely anywhere on the phone by filename/date/size/other attributes. Looking for conciseness over speed.
Can be a file browser, but doesn't have to be.
I also take an explanation of why such a thing doesn't yet exist!
Hello
I'm not a developer but I'm in the process of creating specifications to find a freelance developer to create an app that will be on the Play Store. =)
I'd like to have your insight to see if my application is "possible" regarding the compatibility of various smartphones under Android BUT ALSO regarding the rules imposed by Google for an application to be available on the Play Store.
I want to make an app where you enter the URL of a website, the app will crawl (background task) the site that can have 10,000 pages for example. And the app checks if there are dead links on the site (404 pages, sites that are no longer available etc.).
The app must therefore visit all the pages of the site entered by the app user, with his IP and from his device. It must make all these requests in the background throughout the day.
Does this seem possible ?
Does this sound acceptable to the Play Store rules ?
Do you think it's feasible on the vast majority of Android smartphone models in the world (Nokia, Oppo, Samsung...) ?
Thanks a lot for your help anyway
