[Q] Kernel eats battery in xperia go - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi,
I have yellow xperia go.
In the last few months, my battery became wasteful.
I have downloaded GSam battery monitor.
Now i can say that my kernel eats about ~50% of my battery.
What can i do??

Do you calibrate your battery?what rom and kernel you are using?

[Q] Custom froyo Kernel with best battery backup

Can anybody tell me what is the name of the froyo kernel that gives awesome battery backup ? I hav used franco v14/v18/v19 (CFS) & mik's kernel but batt drains out fast. mik's kernel is very very responsive though ! I hav tried wiping batt stats on full change. But it didn't help me out.
LG's kernel & stock froyo ROM was gud but had video playback issues. thr4 had 2 make a leap

You havent mentioned the rom, but from the post you are using froyo. Try the latest kernel of franco, its quite good with battery and mik's kernel was never a battery drainer for me. You should wipe your battery status and report again.
no dear. batt is dropping 1% every 7-10 minutes. btw i am running rom quy now. batt drain also happened in open optimus on franco kernel v19 cfs. i havent tried bfs though

Battery stucked at 89%?

Hi,
My battery is not able to charge beyond 89% after 5 hours. Anyone knows what is going on? I'm using revolt rom
Thanks in advance
Change the kernel

Wipe battery stats and do a couple of full charge/drain cycles
What kernel and ROM are you using? But sometimes helps just reboot device or try to charge in PC USB port or as jaidev.s wrote change kernel.
Hi thanks for the help,
Im using revolt rom with temasek kernel. I tried switching off , charged it to 100% and removed the battery stats. See how it goes.=)

If you are using one of temaseks latest kernels with the stweaks support then there's a setting which needs to be changed from 4.2v to 4.35v if you are using the stock battery. I can't remember exactly what the setting name is, but if you look in his ROM thread you'll find it there

And yes, this exactly happend to me with Tamasek kernel.
Stock battery needs 4.35V voltage setting

[Solved] Galaxy s2 Over heating Problem

My galaxy s2 is overheating. I have rooted my phone and had Neat rom 5.2 installed for quite sometime when I first noticed the heating.I ignored it, but when it became a frequent thing I switched to Neatrom 5.5. This also did not solve the problem. Now I'm on wanamlite 14.6, with a few stock apps titanium backup app and whatsapp. Still the issue persists, what could be it? I tried better battery stats but did not find any app in particular which would be responsible to heat my fone. Is it the modem/kernel? I'm not to technical, I just flash becoz I like trying new roms and their cool features.
Also my battery drains really quick, at times just drops down 25-30% in 10 mins.
Should I try switching back to stock OS?
Hmm.. Did you overclock your phone or change any kernel related settings? Cpu governer? Anything?
Overclocking might be the reason of the heat and the battery drain.
Have you tried flashing the stock firmware?

I did not over clock my phone, tried under clocking it but not in this rom, I'd tried it long back, much before this heating issue.. I used a cpu governer for it. I will try flashing stock only if i'm sure it solves the issue. I like custom OS so much I don't wana go back.
Just try a stock ROM for now to check if it will fix the issue. Then you can revert back to custom roms.
Another question, what is your current cpu governor?
Sent from my One X+ using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Right now I haven't changed my cpu governer.i mean it may be the default which comes with wanam14.6. I did not change it.

I think maybe its a battery malfunction, you ever try changing the battery?
Just try it..
I hope it works...

I have swapped my battery fr a couple of day's with my dad's s2 which was bought on the same day. That s2 has no heating issues, other than a once in a blue moon heating. Does flashing roms hamper the cellfone hardware in any way? I guess not, but i'm not able to find out what's causing it.

If you did all the recommended stuff flashing an stock rom, and other recommendations "in software", and you still have experienced the same problem with the heat issue... Them its a hardware problem you have...
Unless u can buy a system with water coolant for you Galaxy...
Or use ir for warm your winter's nights.

[Q] i9300 CM 10.2 Googy-Max battery drain

I'm very new to the custom rom scene. I recently used the CM installer to install CM 10.2 to my i9300. I experienced terrible battery life, even worse than touchwiz 4.1.2, with CM 10.2 stock kernel. I installed the Googy-Max kernel, which greatly improved standby, but screen on is a little bit worse. My battery usage is not normal. Attached are 2 screenshots. Any ideas? (I've got the stock 2100mah battery by the way)

Just give root permission in the settings in advanced. . And let it settle for 4-5 hours on standby. . Do not reboot in between...
