The Rogers Firmwares are all gone from Navifirm 1.7+, and I have that stupid gears problem after I did a reset of my phone... Does anyone have the firmware downloaded? Could I get it from you ? Is it just me who can't see the firmware?

It should only be the portico Roms that have gone! You should still be able to download and install pre portico rom and flask that.

Thanks for the reply Snow Monkey, unfortunately only the ATT Roms are showing up in Navifirm ... I don't want to risk flashing one of them and losing pentaband...
I got a bricked 920 and flashed the AT&T rom as a last resort as there was no rogers rom available, does anybody know if they'll be back anytime soon? If not, would anybody be kind enough to provide a link to the old one? Thanks in advance!
I would like the rm-820 rogers fw also if anyone has a link to it. I want to flash it to my unlocked att lumia to see if it enables the AWS band...
I bricked my Developer Lumia 920 , if someone has this Rogers rom could they give us a link to download it.
I found direct links to this ROM on navifirm website. See my post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36686433&posted=1#post36686433
If anyone can find links to the RM-820 dev firmware, or even even just a dump(or produce a dump), it would be much appreciated.

As stated on that post, this ROM will not work. It was removed because it does not identify the Rogers devices correctly for some reason, and won't even flash to them.
You need to find a pre-Portico (vanilla) Rogers ROM to restore, which I do not have access to.

I've been looking for that fm, too. Hope we'll get it soon
Hello! I've got a 920 Vodaphone-branded phone that bricked today, and was looking through Navifirm for a nice ROM to flash on it. The thing is, I've been using it on AT&T for a while (I wasn't the one who purchased it, so I don't know if it came unlocked or if someone had to unlock it) and don't want to be locked out of AT&T. What should I look for in Navifirm to indicate that it's a ROM which will work on AT&T? Or are devices unlocked from the hardware?
Thanks!

The ROM that you flash has nothing to do with SIM-locking. Just like how you cannot unlock your phone by flashing an unbranded ROM, you also won't be able to lock your phone by flashing a branded ROM.
So it's safe to flash a ROM of your own choosing. It will not lock your phone
Hope this helps!

That I'm not sure. But people haven't reported sim-locks when flashing their phone. Otherwise many of us wouldn't be here
Has anyone tried the "ATT Developer Device" Portico Rom? Does/would it have 3g enabled? I have the Build edition Lumia 920, but it bricked during a reset. Not sure if this would be a good rom to use or not. Thanks!
Did you ever try this ROM? I'm curious to see if it allows for tethering.

HI,
Yes, I have AT&T branded 920 and I flash it to dev rom due missing features as sms delivery receipt, 2g/3g/4g switch.
If anyone in US can confirm I'm all over this

I think it is dumb for them to force me to get rid of my unlimited data for this feature considering they throttle you at a certain cap anyway.

Could you please provide where you got the dev rom from and can you enlighten us in regards to whether your device is in fact a developer edition or a plain jane AT&T branded device; thank you!
I downloaded the dev rom through NCS a couple days ago along with a backup of my stock firmware.

HI,
Mine is black AT&T lumia (059L848) and I downloaded via NCS.
I got the product code of dev edition (059R2L5) from this link http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f60...ting-care-suite-download-1660094/#post9434277
So I just tried flashing that version to my black AT&T 920 and it gave me the error Platform ID check fails. Says the FFU file is not meant for this product. Platform ID of image does not match with the platform ID of the device.
Did you flash to any other version prior to going to the dev rom or straight from stock ATT to ATT dev? Perhaps I have to be on an earlier version of the stock ATT rom to do the flash to the current dev rom?

You have to flash to non-portico Rogers rom like RM820_1232.2109.1242.1002 in order to flash your AT&T nokia.

But that will prevent me from going back to the att stock ROM correct. At least it looks that way from the other posts I have read. Wish I could find someone on att that is on the dev ROM and confirm that tethering works coming from a stock branded ROM.

A forum member manage to flash back the AT&T stock rom, but I can find the thread / msg with his steps...there is a app in the store for tethering. It was released last week i think. Did you try installing extra keyboard layout - someone mentioned that this can allows tethering
im flashing to this ROM right now... i was originally in AT&T stock but moved to Rogers pre-portico then jumped to european trying to get to Stock ROM unsuccessfully i ended up with the Mexico ROM and now im Trying this one...
edit - using Developers ROM
- this ROM work perfect to me now... i have all the languages that i wanted to change my phone with, I get LTE as well as before was only 4G
thank you
So for those using the developer ROM, is it worth doing? What's different about it? What's the branding on it?

there seem to be many different guides on how to download ROMS, but either I'm being really stupid, or something is wrong.
I have a UK Lumia 920, unlocked but with EE firmware. I want to debrand it and put on the latest version of generic UK firmware. I have tried using NaviFirm 1.7 (and 1.6 and 1.5) but I recieve an error saying the connection is unauthorised, no matter which of the 3 servers I select. If I try to use Nokia care suite (product support tool for store) v 2013.8.3, I can open a product, but I can't view or download any firmware. I have tried the older version of the care suite (2012) but it had the same issue
I can see on some guides it states I need to use NaviFirm to download the firmware (which I cant do due to the error described above) and import it into Nokia care suite.
how can I download the firmware for me phone, and how do I go about flashing it? Am I using the wrong programs or reading outdated info?
I have Windows XP 32bit
Am pretty sure Nokia have stopped people from using their servers through Navifirm and Nokia Care suite, The last version I used that worked was on a Lumia 900 and was ver 1.5 but that was some time ago :crying:
It is still possible to download FW with the help of Nokia Care Suite - without any obstructions.
Install correct NCS and copy new *.cfg file. Then if you know the PC you can download i use to flash only NCS
So how do I go about doing it, because using the versions described above i cant do it. What is the 'correct version'. The 2013 version of NCS i used the cfg file but it didn't make much difference (not really sure what it does)

Managed to get it to connect and download ROMs, but now I am stuck for which ROM i need. The main issue I have is that there is no 4G option on my phone. I thought I was using an UK EE ROM, but now I thoink I am using 'CV_GB_VAR270603_v5_confml_Black' ROM, as my operator show in the about section says 'CV GB'
I assume the ROMs described as 'global' the generic ones?

Hi Did you manage to upgrade your firmware in the end? I have a Lumia 925...I've only had it a few weeks, but already hear there is a new version of the firmware... which is great!... except Vodafone are unlikely to release it anytime soon.... I understand WP8 is a hard OS to crack in terms of rooting, but if anyone has a simple way of installing official Nokia ROMs - it would be really useful to know. Cheers!

I bought an unlocked Lumia 920 from Singapore (Country Variant, RM-821_apac_singapore_293) to use under T-Mobile NA. While the Nokia website listed the Amber update as available for 920 for weeks now, I am not seeing the update OTA. Does anyone has similar issue? Do I need to use NCS to force an update?

Thanks for linking to my site, Gee2012. I try to keep it as up to date as possible. It has served over 20,000 downloads in the past 90 days. That's a lot of Nokia users...
That program works! Thanks! Now I am on the latest GDR3 via the Preview for Developers. The only downside is it wiped out the phone clean and restore all the apps with settings back and also the live tiles arrangement, but this is more an annoyance than a problem.
