[Q] bootloop problems - AT&T HTC One (M7)

I have an htc one x. The phone is stuck in bootloop. It stays on the htc logo screen and does nothing. I would like to know how to turn the phone off alltogether. I have tried volume up + power button, volume up and down + power button and that will turn the phone off but seconds later comes back on by itself. I assume i will haveto flash a new rom to it in order to get it to come back on. The phone is rooted but not sure what rom or kernel is or was on it as i have done a factory reset on it. This all started righ after downloading an app?!!?!? Idk. Any advise on how to actually shut down the phone and what the proper way of fixing this this issue.

So i did get the phone shut down so it will have a chance to charge. Next step is, now is my only option to flash a new rom to get past bootloop?

How about posting in the right forum?

Sony Tablet S - Stuck on Boot

Hey guys,
I am currently having an issue where my S1 gets stuck on the boot up screen. It seems to freeze on the "Sony" text before it gets to the boot animation and just stays there until I long press the power button to turn off. I tried the reset function first to no avail. Then I let the battery completely drain and recharge before I turned it back on and it still gets stuck in the same place. I have not rooted or done anything to it but download a few apps and a launcher. Two things I would like to avoid is doing a factory reset but more importantly avoid dealing with Sony and their warranty. Any help you all could provide would be appreciated!
Unfortunately you have only this two choices ...
Factory reset or Sony (dealer) warranty ...

I was having wifi issues after rooting and did a factory reset solving my problem. If you don’t have that many apps on your tab I'm pretty sure it will fix your problem. Since you haven't rooted your devise then you should be fine calling Sony tech support if the factory reset doesn’t fix the boot loop.
Thanks for your responses. I spent a lot of time setting up my home pages as hubs so this sucks!
Next question, does anyone know how to perform factory reset without booting up the device? I performed one when I first received it but went through the Settings. Since I cant get past the boot screen, I obviously cant do it that way.
factory data reset
with the tablet off you need to press and hold the volume + button and then press and hold the power button. keep holding both buttons and when you see the sony logo release the power button only. once you get the android system recovery mode you release the volume button and use the volume + and - to navigate the menu and quickly press the power button to make a selection. before you do the reset try this: access the recovery mode and select restart and cancel, your tablet might boot normally.

If you are unable to enter stock recovery I would think you will probably have to contact Sony. Even if you have adb I don’t think you would be able to do anything because your devise is not rooted. Someone correct if I am wrong.
I believe you are right.
I was unable to get the tablet into recovery using the method stated above. I get to the Sony screen (as always) but when I release the volume button the tablet turns off. Now I have to deal with Sony. Crap! What are the chances they replace it under warranty when I bought it off ebay?

Call them and play dumb. Tell them that you received it as a gift and you weren’t sure where it was purchased from. It’s worth a shot.

My Solution
I just had this problem, what I did was..
when on the Sony logo I took out my SD card>unplugged power>did a hard reboot>waited about 30sec>then powered the tablet on and it booted normally.
I hope this was somewhat helpful
My Tablet have the same issues. It goes to Sony Service Center. I think is a shame for Sony, because the tablet is 8 months old. That is not quality.

My droid razr screen is black and cant return it to factory default settings!!

hi everyone!!
I´ve trying all day long to recover my cell phone, but everything i´ve done is useless, my droid is a verizon but i dont know which one, i bougth it flashed, my droid was activated with IUSACELL that´s a company from Mexico, it was activated in CDMA, but my son took it to play angry birds XD and later my cell phone start to ask me for a sim card, so i reseted to factory default setting and using the droidRAZRutility 1.6 made step one that´s Restore droid RAZR to 6.12.181 and then start running, so at the end the cellphone do not start up, just stay a few in tha M dualcore logo and then the screen just go black, im afraid that this procedure its just for gsm verizon or CDMA (i really dont know´) and that´s why i got bricked the razr, i´ve tried to use rds lite, factory wipe, cache wipe and nothing, the only thing that give some hope is that i can enter to the bootmenu.
If anyone knows what i´ve to do please help me i´ll really apreciated!!
Press and hold
Power + vol down + vol up
Release just power button when you see screen blink (kerp holding vols.)
If your razr do not start automatically in fastboot menu. Yet holding that vol keys press once power

Are you saying you tried the hold/release 5 times to no avail, or pushed them?
I had the same issue last week. I would hold all three, get the flash, then the moto boot screen, and that was it. What worked for me was holding power/vol down until the flash, releasing, the promptly pushing both vol keys at the same time. This finally got me to ap fastboot and I was able to get to business.

WHen first step ends using droidRAZRutility 1.6 this came up on:
Ap fastboot flash mode (s) (Recipe Failure)
Are you trying to get back to GB rather than ICS?
Without knowing your phone model, it's going to be tough to get the right firmware put in. You may want to start downloading various types and see how they work with RSD.

Hi, sorry!
The forever is about ~15s holding the keys. Power + both vol.
This will make your Razr turn off. Then keep pressing both vol keys and press once power. This will drive to boot menu. Pick recovery and finish installing your rom from there.
You've probably a verizon razr. If your phone doesn't have a verizon logo in front of it, then you should first figure out what's your razr model to get the correct rom for it.
cheers
Lol We need a disaster recovery sticky

[TrIcK] Are you stuck on the Samsung screen ?? see here ...

Howdy Note users...
This is a little tip to help users get out of that annoying "STUCK ON THE SAMSUNG LOGO" issue that we see "ALL" the time.
As you know, the condition is brought on when users get a bad download, the wrong download, or a bad kernel etc...
The normal remedy is pulling the battery out, then waiting, then putting it back in to get your recovery booted. All the while you are having to pull the case apart, causing damage and wasting time.
Here is the trick to get around all of that, and boot into your recovery from the stuck "SAMSUNG" screen.
(First)....simply push both the volume up, and volume down buttons at the same time. ( while the screen is stuck at "SAMSUNG" of course)
(Second)..then push the power button, and hold it..until the device begins to vibrate every 3-4 seconds..
(Third)...allow the device to vibrate 3 times, then release the power button, but continue to hold the volume up/down buttons..
This recovery trick will take about 20 seconds, but the device will boot into your recovery from the stuck screen using this method..
Note: it also works to get you into download mode from the stuck screen, but you only use the volume down, and power buttons in that process...
I hope this helps a few of you in avoiding the battery pulls and the case damage....

This might work for some circumstances, but I flashed a beta recovery once that wouldn't let me boot anything, just sat at the Samsung (bootloader) logo. I had to flash the previous (working) version of recovery in ODIN and all was fine.

[Q] I think it may be bricked.

I recently traded a friend for a galaxy tab 10.1. On start up, it was in download mode for a good thirty minutes. I became impatient and powered it down to see if I could start it up normally. It wouldnt turn on at all, and the volume down + power button doesnt work either. I really messed up this time.

[Cricket] LG-K540 stuck at Cricket logo

Hello,
My little brother dropped his phone off today because he noticed it no longer boots past the Cricket logo screen. He mentioned that when the phone died, he plugged it in to charged and noticed this issue occurred shortly after. I then began doing some troubleshooting with the device to see what I can do to attempt to fix it but had no luck.
I have tried the following..
Hard reset - Volume Down + Power Button
Hard reset - Volume Down + Power Button + Release Power Button then tap it again
Pulled the battery out
Pulled the SIM card out
I am lost at what to attempt next. I cannot find the stock firmware anywhere online specifically for this model which supports Cricket. Do any of you have any other ideas or suggestions?
Thanks!
Have you tried this? Good luck!
