So I've wiped everything? - AT&T HTC One (M7)

No system on phone and sd is clean.
How do i put a rom in my storage if all I have is twrp.
Also if anyone has a stock 4.4 dump ill be happy.
Twrp wouldnt update from 4.3 to 4.4 when i was working.

Look around for adb sideload... Using TWRP is under advance.

Maybe someone can upload a blank nan droid backup with just the system partition. If they had your variant of the HTC One.

You could do the option mount > usb-otg
But you need to get a piece like this to work. See picture. Google usb-otg and check pictures

I just googled adb sideload tutorials and found this: http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.com/2013/12/how-to-copy-rom-zip.html
It might not be a perfect method but I only needed to copy a file.
Which makes me wonder, why recovery doesnt let you browse your storage when connected to a pc.

I mount USB storage in TWRP in the mount option in TWRP and connect my USB. This method has worked but getting the PC to know it has storage can be s little annoying.

Sometimes the easiest way to resolve USB issues is to reboot both devices, phone and computer.
Otherwise, double check sdcard is inserted all the way and make sure on the device to select mount on computer. sdcard won't appear on the desktop until the device makes it visible to the desktop via the user selecting to share the sdcard on the desktop via usb.
Hope that helps!
It did hat to restart computer thanks been rooted on the 4g for awhile but just got a 3d

File Transfer

What is the best way to transfer rom files to the phone? I didnt see a way to do it with the sync program. Is there some additional software i could use in windows? I've been using android commander to push files over via adb.
I am using total commander. It can push everything to the phones memory.

[Q] Alternate recovery systems (other than CWM and TWRP)?

Other than ClockwordMod Recovery and TWRP, are there any other recovery systems that I can try? I'm looking to try out other ones for fun, and also I'm looking for one that would allow me to access files through USB mass storage mode from my computer while plugged in through USB.
None.
The word recovery for fun.
End result bricked phone.

/ and /data (the media subfolder hosts the internal eMMC) are ext4, so Windows won't recognise them when connected through MSC (yes, there's drivers available; no, they did not work for me).
You can, however, push/pull files through ADB in recovery, so learn to embrace that.

So true. I bricked a Galaxy Pro just by having some fun in ROM Manager when I flashed an incompatible recovery.

No rom installed s-off have recovery cant install rom

I have s-off a recovery installed but i didnt put a rom om my phone to install after the wipe. I have attempted to us the sideloader but adb wont regognize my device. I have also tried multiple usb ports and another pc and nothing is working. any help is appreciated!
With the phone plugged in to the computer, what is shown in device manager for devices? Is there a yellow exclamation point beside one of them? If not you may have to load a different driver manually.
If you can't get sideload to work, you could always by an otg cable, load a ROM on to a flash drive connect the otg cable to the cash drive, and do it from there.

If you have twrp just mount USB storage and push a ROM to your phone.

ok well in my device manager it does show my phone and it does show a triangle next to it and it doesn't detect my phone automatically. How do install the drivers myself and where do I get those drivers. I have tried to do the sideloader thing but adb does not detect my phone. and that otg cable looks cool but how exactly does it work?

what do you mean mount usb?
Will a USB-OTG cable work?

Delete current drivers and Google the correct updated drivers for your device install them restart your computer. Plug your phone in see if it's recognized.
In twrp recovery go to mounts and storage select mount USB storage. Should be able to put a ROM on your internal storage.

Its a little cable that plugs into your phones charging port, and on the other side there is a spot to plug in USB items.

This forum is now closed. hyphidragon and I were finally able to figure it out. I would really like to thank him for all the time he put in to helping me out. The solution was to flash a older stock hboot and then to run a program that returned it to stock s-off a couple builds behind. If you have the same problem and need help just give him a message and he'll be sure to help you out. Thanks for all he work guys!
