Flashing the stock rom's kernel should take care of that..but i believe the two red lines will still be in there when going into recovery mode, but should not be in there when just booting into your phone (OS), and CM is pretty stable i believe.

That cannot be fixed. Any kernel other then stock kernel will give you those warnings. And cm works only with its kernel, so you outta luck with removing those lines if you wanna use a custom rom.
Same with recovery. CM is very stable.

Sorry about the wrong info as i thought you were still on 4.2.2 and not 4.4.2, didn't pick up on that part for some reason..

If you installed the OTA update, you are now on a JB Kernel. That means your ICS backup is useless, since the razr has a locked bootloader.
It also means that any custom ROMs you install need to be built off the JB Kernel. The JB ROMs that were here before the OTA were built around the existing ICS kernel cause, again locked bootloader.
Are the ROMs you are trying to install made for the JB kernel? If not, they wouldn't boot, they are made for the ICS kernel

If those are the ROM's that you are installing then, they are the wrong ones, and that is your problem. If you look at the top they say they are for the Ice cream sandwich (ICS) kernel. You will need ones for the JellyBean(JB) kernel if you installed the OTA update.

Can I jump from 4.04 stock to CM11

Title says it all. Do I need to ease into 4.4.2 when coming from stock ICS, or can I just take the plunge?

You need to have the latest recovery installed before you can flash >4.4.

Thank you, I did put the newest CWM on the phone. I didn't know if I had to upgrade to JB before switching right up to 4.4.2, or if I needed to jump to CM10 first. I had a phone that required you go to at least CM9 before moving into 10. Thank you for the reply.
You can go from ICS to JB to KK and back to ICS if you want. It doesn't matter.

Thanks guys, that was the answer I was looking for. Just wanted to play it safe before doing anything.

Why won't any 4.4 ROMs boot up for me?

I've tried 3, all just boot loop. I can Odin back to 4.1.2 and all is good. But, no 4.4 roms will take after Odin'ing MJ9.
Any thoughts?

I'm having the same issues. Driving me crazy!
Looks like it was a kernel issue, I installed AGNi's kernel and got them to boot. I was coming from MJ9.

Oh, NICE...
I'm on 4.1.2 after just re-Odin'ing back to stock again since none of the ROMs would work.
So i should be able to run casual, then flash MJ9, then flash this, then flash a ROM and be good to go?
Actually.. ROM first, then kernel right?

Odin stock kernel to get cm11 through safestrap?

Just so there no confusion, I'm using a previous thread to keep the litter at a minimum.
Is this possible? If I understand correctly, the locked bootloader prevents us from flashing a custom recovery and a custom kernal and cm11 and similar roms all run custom kernal. .is it possible to flash the rom and then boot into download mode and Odin a stock kernal or would it be incompatible with the rom? Any help would be appreciated. I really want cm11, aokp, aosp or something of the sort. The Google rom just isn't for me.
brd912 said:
What's the difference? Can they be flashed with safestrap? Out of the roms I've scanned through the only one I really like that I knew for sure could be flashed with safestrap is hyperdrive. I'm just wondering what my options are..anyone?

Unified builds are just builds that can be flashed on any carrier.
So they will work for our S4?

Yep, you will still need an MDK bootloader for aosp/aokp.

Bump for the edit on the post. Figured I'd just rename the thread instead of creating a new one.

Black screen after Dorimanx logo on RR 5.1.1

Hey there guys so I just installed the Lollipop version of Dorimanx kernel on my phone in the hopes of some better battery life with the ROM and it just gives me a black screen when booting. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Please help me and just ask if you need any more information. Thanks.

I'm using Resurrection Remix 5.1.1
I tried flashing Dorimanx v11.0b012. I tried both the TRIM and non-TRIM ones.

Since you've flashed both already, I can't think of anything else but to go back to default kernel. If you really need dorimanx kernel, have you tried downloading older versions? Did you download the zips properly? This will need to be investigated further.

I'm sure I downloaded them correctly, I'm really not sure what's going on. Hopefully this gets fixed soon!

Sometimes flashing it again will fix problems like this, or trying older versions first then updating to latest.
