Is there a way to make the lg g2 tap2wake feature work on our device? (allow double tapping lockscreen to unlock the phone).
There is an app called touchcontrol that patches kernels on several devices to enable this, and someone on the app thread claims its working with DorinmanX kernel on his i9100 but i couldnt make it work on my device

Yes it is possible but it needs a dev to integrate it in his kernel but it means that touchscreen is always on so it will eat a lot of battery

Thanks to @Spamm00r, I found that Stweaks has such option. I`ve tested it with dorimanX kernel v10 and it works fine, probably other roms with stweaks support will be good too.

Yea with the phone dialer?
Dial *#9900# and the option to disable fast dormancy should be there.

since I installed CM9 I cannot use the quick access codes at all, and ideas why?
Themadba I said that nothing happen when I do it.
What can I do in order to disable it?
Aosp doesn't have fast dormancy, it's a Samsung stock Rom thing.
You should really state that your not on Stock Samsung. It won't work unless on stock Samsung ROM.

It is clearly writing in my signature.
So how can I disable that if not through the dialer?
I'm on the XDA app so sorry, but it should still be stated in your post.

It doesn't and it doesn't matter anyway.
I had constant 20% wakelocks until I used the Fast dormancy toggle app from the Play Store!
It works on my CM9 S2 and now wakelocks are are less then 2%!!!
Made some massive difference to my batter life, 40% more!
Use FastDormancy Toggle for i9300 app by gokhanmoral from google play store. It works on i9100 perfectly :good:
chatvan 7-104.9
not for me ! I used the app but still got the fd_secril-interface wakelok ! (i am on rootbox 4.1)
Any ideas to fix it ??
any kernel in stock ROM that supports TOUCHWAKE ?
if anyone who comes from Galaxy Nexus, then should know that there is some useful apps such as P2GM that able to wake screen by simply touch the screen instead of hit power/home button.
i brought eXperience Pro from Ezekeel (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=aperture.ezekeel.experiencepro) , this app works on AOKP ROM , but everytime i try to use it , system will crash and reboot.
i guess something wrong with kernel or so ...
i am testing all kernel that i could find in DEV section, but still didn't find compatible one ...
any suggestions ?

I took your advice amd installed siyah kernel 1.8.4
That slide2wake feature is great
But I found that it is not working every time
After the screen is off for about 2 minutes, it stops working
Any advice?
Thanks
P.s. I had searched for numerous forums regarding siyah kernel, I can't find a solution. ...

It just doesn't work very well at the moment. It's a beta feature and unfortunately the best you can do is wait and see if it gets improved. You could try using soft locker on the play store as well as slide 2 wake that might help but it'll kill your battery

My friend has a weird problem on his SGS3 after I rooted it for him. I've tried installing AOKP and CarbonRom but the issue exists on both.
Whenever I open an app-picker list (ie when adding a widget or app to desktop) I get vertical screen tearing when scrolling. The tearing is pretty inconsistent because it doesn't happen all the time but in random intervals.
I've tried enabling and disabling vsync by editing build.prop but it didn't help. I've also enabled/disabled all the rendering related stuff in developer settings but nothing works.
There was no such issue in stock ROM. I've never had screen tearing problems even though I've rooted over ten different Android phones and tablets.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing the issue?

Its a known issue in aosp and aokp ROMs. Install the latest temasek as it is patched to reduce the amount of tearing

Is the patch in the Temasek ROM or the kernel? I would like to keep the Linaro optimized CarbonRom and just flash the kernel if it works that way.
Holy crap... People are still worried about Linaro? You know its been proven to have no advantage over Google's tool chains. So don't worry about it.

Proven by who? Where? When? Interesting!
In Nexus 4 the difference between Linaro and Google toolchain is so obvious that Linaro dominates custom ROMs. I didn't see such a big difference in SGS3 so maybe I could go with Temasek. Tough the previous question is still unanswered: is the patch in the kernel or the ROM?

So I'm still running an old flappjaxxx UCLF6 build (Android 4.0.4). Part of the reason I've not flashed in such a long time is because I'm completely dependent on BLN working for notifications.
At the time I stopped flashing, source code hadn't been released so there was no way to run BLN on say a CM based ROM. My questions are:
1. Has this changed, and if so what more current ROMs enable BLN?
2. If BLN still is not available, what other apps are people using for notifications?
TIA

A more graphic ui, more options and support for other devices will be available in future releases.
Main features
CPU control untility
Ability to control IO read-ahead and scheduler.
Ability to acces (HOX) nVidia specific tweaks like GPU scaling, GPU overclocking, Smart Dimmer and more..
Customize your S2W experience with dedicated control panel.
Ability to control hardware button brightness.
Visualize your CPU cores online, CPU usage, CPU temperature and RAM usage in realtime.
Make your phone experience better with dedicated Throttle STOP configurable service.
What is Throttle STOP?
TTS is an app-independent service that runs in the background. It monitorizes current CPU temperature and adjusts CPU frequencies according to the temperature limit you set.

*** More settings like temperature_timeout and service_timeout can be configured only from /data/data/<pkgname>/files/config.cfg.
Got problems?
If the app is misbehaving in any way, i will be very glad to help you out. Make sure you complete this quick sheet and send it to me via PM, or post it on the forum.

Is this for both International and AT&T/Telus models? All ROMs? Does it require a specific kernel or will it work with all kernels?

If you are on sense ROM, try using elitekernel. There is no kernel specific for this app.
As far as i know most features are on CM10 kernels. I may be wrong tho.

I am sorry, i forgot to remove it. Problem will be solved in future updates.
I am currently redesigning the the whole application.
Tip: Click on the wrench situated inside the red box. It will close pnpmgr service and chmod files so you can control frequencies manually.
Waiting for more positive / negative feedback.
When I click the wrench in the red box, I get this.

Didn't test the earlier version, but I'd say UI looks nice (at least the layout)! A bit more color/contrast could look a nicer though. The CPU tab, especially status field, is very nice! As for S2W options, a slider with steps of 1 would be nicer instead of 5/50, but that's my personal opinion.
All in all i like it very much! Thanks for your efforts
