I am using the LoveMei Slim Waist bumper with the Iloome tempered glass screen protector.

The iloome tempered glass screen protector is amazing. Feels so good to touch, doesn't collect fingerprints, is crystal clear, and does not interfere with the S-Pen at all.

I use my Note 3 as a dash cam in my car and also frequently to watch stuff or browse the web while in bed. So, I needed a slim case that I could easily mount but also had a kickstand. The Seidio Surface case was perfect, is slim, has a metal kickstand, and offers great protection. I use it with a Tech Armor ballistic glass screen protector. Great customer service from Tech Armor. I fudged the first installation and they sent me a replacement, no questions asked.
I got my note3 from Costco and bought the SquareTrade insurance for $100 for 2 yrs. With that protection I wanted to go as light and small as possible so I'm just using a Spigen Slim UltraFit case and no screen protector... I've always used a Seidio surface case and a zagg screen protector but always wanted to bare. This lets me get as close as possible without having to worry about little scratches on the phone and having a little bit of protection... Obviously this isn't the case for most people but the insurance makes me feel a lot better...
I just moved from the Love Mei Powerful to the newer Love Mei Powerful case. The name is really bad. The signal is bad in low signal areas. I live in town and have no problems with it. The latest version is lightweight and offers great protection. I'd recommend them, but it's not for everyone. Here are some pictures
Old case (I had the silver model)

This is the "small waist" version. My wife's friend gave it to me when she got the UAG. It's a nice Case though. You'll have to wait about 10 days for shipping from China. Here's the link to the website http://www.lovemeicase.com/pro.asp?id=45
I got these two off Amazon for 1/4 that price.

That case looks amazing, but for the flaws I know it has, it's not worth almost $90.
I would rather buy it directly from them though instead of on Amazon. Too many fakes out there.

If these are fakes I'd be impressed. The case is branded with their logo and the packaging is all branded. Comes with a lanyard and tools with their logo. If it isn't your thing, my friend replaced hers with the UAG and it is very nice.

And a fake Neo Hybrid on Rotation.
Currently using the TPU-ish one because it's the slimmest.
Im using griffin extreme survivor case, black. U can check it on their website.
Protection is good imo, whole body is covered.but a bit bulky
Im using the white Spigen Slim Armor View until my zerolemon battery/case gets here.

You would be surprised, man. Take Spigen for example. They have so many counterfeit makers out there. Some of them are so accurate, they even include a BS serial number in the case just like authentic Spigen. Some you really can't even tell the difference. It's just my thing to buy directly from suppliers sites or the Amazon link they provide.

Spigen Slim Armor. Also have the Neo Hybrid which I don't like the feel of so much and the UAG which seems to offer better protection but is more bulky.

anyone know of any good minimal clear gel cases? i ordered 2 cheapos on ebay, one with kickstand and one without.

who knows when they will get here, hopefully they don't suck too bad lol.
I'm currently using the Otterbox Defender case. I just received a Diztronic TPU case in hopes that it would fit properly with the official wireless charging cover. It covered the entire phone but the volume up button ended up being unresponsive or stuck when I pressed it hard enough for the phone to register it. It's useless for me now. I will hold onto it as a "just in case" backup.
I'm thinking about purchasing the Spigen Slim Armor View. I will buy it once all the issues with 4.2.2 gets fixed.

I have the Diztronic TPU over my N3 with OEM back charging cover, and have not had the same experience at all. I suggest considering exchanging your case for a new one. Mine works great, and the power and volume keys are as good and responsive as without any case. Others have reported good experience as well.
I was using the caseology with faux leather back that could be had on Amazon for $5 after shipping a while back (I got the red, blue, and black backs for $15 total). Just switched to the belkin sheer. I like how thin it is yet still providing screen and camera lip and corner protection.

How's the sound on this case? I have the Platinum (branded seidio case by BestBuy) but the rubber covers the mic hole muffling the sound. I wanted to make sure that the mic hole was unobstructed.
I've had no complaints so far. I tested it just now and heard no muffling

Best case on the market right now for the Evo 3D. Just received mine 2 days ago. So far I've tried obviously all the cases we have here at TPU-Cases, which are great, but lets be honest TPU doesnt provide a lot of protection, the Otterbox Commuter, Case-Mate Pop, and now the Case-Mate Tough. The Tough is actually less bulky then the Pop and feels great in your hand. You will definitely not drop your phone when you have this case on! Also a bit easier to get the Tough off the phone then the Pop or the TPU cases since the inner layer is a removable silicone. No way can you get the Pop off the phone without pulling off the battery door too. I've figured out how to take the TPU cases off without pulling off the battery door as well, but it's not the easiest thing in the world. I definitely recommend the Case-Mate Tough. I'd be surprised if the defender really provided too much more protection and its a much smaller form factor. I wish the Tough or the Pop would fit in the iGrip car dock. It's damn close. You can use the dock to hold the phone but you wont be able to charge the phone with the dock. If it wasnt for that I would use the Tough full time. As it is now I switch back and forth between the Tough and one of the TPU-Cases Smoke Matte cases.

I had 3 active cases for my original EVO 4G, all of the plastic parts ended up snapping off or breaking. I respect the case for protecting my phone but I got tired of being out 20 bucks every time the case did its job.

As you can see the tough case is slightly thicker but it does feel like a stronger case. And I can't say enough on the rubberized finish it has. As a plus, the corners on the tough case are part of the hard backplate whereas the commuters corners are just silicone.

Do they make a holster for this case? I had the same case for my OGEvo, but have been rocking the Platinum one with holster from Best Buy. Kind of like not having big phone in my pocket.... But I really liked the case
I'm looking for an ultra-slim case that has the tallest lip to protect the display. I'd like to add a Glas.t screen protector, but that adds to the screen's height.
The choices so far are the Rearth Ringke Slim, the Elago Slim, and the Incipio Feather. From what I've read, the Elago may be the best choice. Can anyone who's tried all of these weigh in?
I had the elago but returned it. It didn't have a lip. It also only had three corners protected because one is open for the intl radio.
Also, the top and bottom were 'open' and where I put my pinky finger to cradle the phone one handed hit the case funny.
I'm still carrying naked but ordered a cheap one off amazon
I'll get that Tuesday and report back
It seems like most of the tpu cases have a lip to protect the screen. What's the thinnest tpu case? I've seen the 0.2mm one on ebay, but it' does not have a lip.
Ringke SLIM
Has a small lip across the top and bottom of the case. Minimal bulk, with just enough lip to keep it off a flat surface. Coupled with the screen protector it comes with, it's good protection for laying it face down on most surfaces.
Elago OK!
Saw the earlier feedback, but for what it's worth... my Elago G4 slim has allowed my device to survive four (!) drops so far. I'm very pleased with it, and especially like the feel and "grip-ability" of the case.... which was NOT related to my drops (instead, these were due to my overly "friendly" DOG!... LOL).
From reading other posts, it seems that the Elago has a taller lip than the Incipio, but I haven't read or seen a direct comparison of the Elago and the Rearth. I have read that the Rearth is thinner/lighter than the Elago, but you can tell that the Elago's lip covers more surface area around the display (top & bottom vs both sides).

It does not have a lip what so ever, it snaps/clips to the "chrome" accent around the phone and leaves the plastic bezel surrounding the screen vulnerable and exposed.
EDIT: I also had to enlarge the top noise cancelling mic hole as it was cut slightly too much to the left and blocked it.

Yes it adds a grainy grip, but it also feels slippery after using the phone with a gel TPU case. If that makes sense
I would have not really chosen that screen protector, but it came already installed on the phone. Never look a gift horse in the mouth
Just got the case(or lack there of). Really like how you can barely tell it's there. It offers no protection whatsoever, but I do like the feel. The fit is almost perfect(just a little off on the top). It also hides the rocker buttons from my wandering fingers, so that's nice. I'm hoping the grip gets better with time and not worse...we will see. At least it was only 3 bucks.

Yup. It actually works quite well appearance wise. The gloss actually provides some grip to it around the edges while the matte backing allows the phone to slip in and out of pockets seemlessly.

From pictures, it looks like this case is at least twice as thick as the Elago Slim or the the Rearth. You can zoom into the pictures on Amazon and look at the area around the camera lens on the back of the phone. It's not a perfect method, but it does help to show how much bulk a case is going to add.

Before I begin...
Otterbox is renowned for their premiere armor-like phone cases. I have owned many phones and two of which I put Otterbox phone cases on. Outside of Otterbox cases, I have tried countless cases at a variety of prices and quality. Some cases are pretty good, but none have the same appeal, protection, and reputation that Otterbox does. Upon unboxing the Otterbox commuter case, I discovered both international and US versions of the phone screen protectors. And, in the photos I have uploaded, you'll see that I actually have the international Note screen protector instead of the US version. I'll explain later...
Both Otterbox cases I have owned (Motorola Atrix, Samsung Galaxy Note) are very similar to each other. Even though my Atrix had a Defender case and the Note now has the Commuter case, both actually give the same feeling of protectiveness, look, and feel. When I first put the Defender case on my Atrix, I immediately knew that Otterbox will be the case for all my phones in the future. Otterbox makes a plethora of cases for many makes and models of cellular phones, so I knew that we would eventually get these bad boys. I received mine yesterday and immediately ditched my previous case for the only case my Note will have protect it again.
Also... In my opinion, Otterbox cases speak for themselves and don't need actual reviews, just someone saying, "Go buy it now. You won't regret it."
The Look...
One word to describe this case would be: Armor. The way this case looks with the polygonal insets to connect the soft silicon to the hard shell casing gives it a great look. There are slotted cross dashes on the back of the case with Otterbox's logo near the bottom. The classic sloped front fit around the screen is also present with this Otterbox case. Everything about this case is sleek, stylish, and protective. Great looking case.
Defects? What defects... There were no defects present on this case, nor were there on my first Otterbox case. I expect this type of quality from Otterbox. If anyone has experienced defects with their Otterbox case, please comment and give some insight on the customer service portion of the Otterbox company.
The Fit...
Putting this case on the phone was more trouble than I thought it would be, but I welcomed it, since every other case I had up to now had yet to give me the right fit I was looking for. After about 30 seconds of initial fitting, the case is on and the fit is amazing. The tightness of the fitting of this case is great. It gives a great secure feeling to the phone that no other case has provided.
The power buttons and volume buttons are covered by solid elevated silicone, which provides just enough resistance to where it wont accidentally be activated by walking or bumping into things from within the pocket of your pants. The 3.5mm and phone charger inputs are covered by silicone flaps that are inset into the case. Both inputs are large enough to provide the physical connections with the cords without being obstructed by the case. The spen opening is generous and allows for easy removal. The speaker has an opening through the case as well.
The protection...
Apart from the protection that the case itself provides, Otterbox provides a screen protector (for both versions of the note) as well. Pretty straight forward screen protector, two films surrounding the outer and inner surfaces of the protector. It comes with a small microfiber wiping cloth and the squeegee for those pesky air bubbles. I started with the US version of the screen protectors (duh) but for some reason, i got dust on the protector itself and it was just a mess from the beginning, so I went ahead and put the international one on. The only difference between the two protectors is the cutout on the bottom of the international one. Looks a little odd, but it works.
Conclusion...
My overall experience with Otterbox has been great. Both cases I have owned have been of the utmost quality. No other case provides me with the look, the feel, and the protection that Otterbox has given me with their cases. I am very pleased with this case and highly recommend it to anyone.
not to point fingers.... but do you work for otterbox? Just never seen someone go through so much effort on a review as far as the layout goes, if you dont work for them i think the effort is awesome.
No I don't work for otterbox... but I may have put more effort into this than I think was needed, lol

Can you take pictures of the empty case next to the note so we can see how much bulk it adds?
How sticky is it when you pull it out of your pocket?
What is the responsiveness related to the cover and the s-pen?

Ill see what I can do about the pictures. As far as the stickiness of the case... its actually pretty smooth. Comes out of the pocket pretty easily. The spen has great responsiveness to the screen with the screen protector on. No difference as far as I can tell with the screen protector.

I had an Otterbox Commuter on my late Dell Streak and it was really good but a little bulky. And it didn't have a cradle! On my Note I have Seidio Active with a kickstand and cradle, and I should say it's more elegant and compact with same level of protection. Just my two cents...

Nice review.
When the case is on, do you find any added resistance when putting the phone in or taking it out of your pocket? Thanks.
I have been looking for a case for my note for a long time. This one looks pretty damn nice. Do you have a link on where to buy it from?

Great case
I just bought this case a few days ago. All i can say that it is a very sturdy and rugged case. I would have opt of the defender for about $15 more but they did not have it in stock so I got the commuter.
Overall a solid case. Definitely recommend

Honestly the three cents is inconsequential. It could have been a couple dollars more and I still would have gotten it simply because the seller is SpigenSGP (who also happen to make the best crystal clear screen protectors I've ever used), and they have a 100% seller rating.
Nice review. Any problems with dust particles on the silicon portion of the case when pulling the Note out of a pocket? With other cases that has been my experience and the look of the case decreases due to it.

you get some dust but for me it was on the outside of the case. I got my commuter off amazon for half price! I dont think it makes it bulky like the other Otter box case but it makes it have a good feel in the hand. without it the phones feels slippery.

There was 5 available but they all sold for $7. The seller fb was excellent as far as selling otterboxes for Samsung phones. Talked to the seller before I pulled the trigger. He said they are bought in bulk with little to no packaging. I will be doing a review in here of it's condition.

My UAG case just arrived today and I'm very excited! These cases have a real industrial, well built, and good look to them. For the note 3 there are four colors to choose from Orange, black, white, and slate. I chose slate because I wanted a flat low profile look rather than the bright orange or white case. These cases sell for $34.95 with free shipping on the UAG website. But can be found cheaper on amazon sometimes.
The overall build seems to be very sturdy along the outside and had a TPU inside so the phone has a soft surface to rest against. The remodeled version of this case has cut outs for all ports and holes. The hole for the pen is very big making it easy to access. The case does come with a screen protector.. It is not the best but it works.
The power and volume rocker buttons are extremely easy to click even right out of the box. They are not too stiff nor to loose they give a satisfying click more so than the regular phone buttons.
This case is thin enough that it is still easy to hold with one hand and the sides of the case provide a honeycomb textured grip so it will not slip out of your hands. Since the case does not have a rubbery back but a more hardened texture it will not get caught in your Jean pockets and slides out nice and smoothly.
Some final touches that are nice on this case are that the back and front of the case has a raised lip in the corners so it will never sit directly on the screen or be in risk of scratching the nice finished back of the case. Also the cutout for the camera is glare free so it will not interfere with the camera at all.
Overall this case built by UAG is a extremely durable industrial looking case which will protect your phone from falls. You will more than likely have people comment on your case and ask you where they can get one as well.

Very nice review, I love my UAG case. Had it on since day one and work in an automotive shop.
Thanks man! Just came back from the gym and while I was on the treadmill I dropped my phone and it landed on the moving floor and shot off into the floor.. I didn't even bother to think twice because I knew it would be protected, which it was!

I got the rust color UAG case in a day ago. Absolutely love this thing. It feels plain awesome no matter how I hold the phone. Looks unlike any other case. Heck even the included screen protector is awesome. Highly recommend this case...

Just kidding man. Nice write-up and pics. Looks good!

I have a tempered glass protector on. I just didn't bother installing the SP that came with the UAG. That'd be like putting a t-shirt over a bullet resistant vest for 'extra protection'
I use a black UAG case and while it looks really good and does well for protection there is one or two things I've noticed.
First (at least on the black) after having it a while it has started to show scuff marks. This is probably because I don't always set it on an even surface.
Second, I wish the hexagonal side was a bit more grippy. I know that if it were it would be harder to take out of pockets but, just personal preference.
No intention of changing cases and these issues are not enough to make me change cases. I am quite happy with UAG and will look to them first for future phone cases.
The Nilken was out of stock at amazon so I went with the tech armor. Spent some time reading, seems they all work well.

I always thought like uag looked like the end of spigen when I had the uag logo upside down lol
I just got my UAG case, the slate one, and absolutely love it and I have the wireless back and it fits quite well. I also went with a tempered glass protector and had it on before the case so I just kind of chucked the one that was sent with the UAG which was a laugh. Anyhow, I'd buy another one for my next phone in a heartbeat.
Don't hate on the included screen protector... For 1, it's actually decent. I used it until I got my tempered glass in. Second, they don't have to include the screen protector. Most manufacturers these days don't. I really like that they include it. If you tossed it then that was dumb. Always a good idea to have a spare protector around.

This a case of 30$, original, but not premium.
I send one email to spigen suppot and say, that only has 90 days of replacement.
Please know that you are out of your 90 day replacement warranty.
I have reviewed your photos, and there seems to be some nicks.
As this is cosmetic damage, this is not covered under our warranty.

Now for my note 3 I have thought I will order fineday tempered glass back cover.

My request is that i buy a bumper red, will be a bumper red, not is a bumper paint of red color, with a white plastic part, only this.
Is very dificult to a premium case ?
Spigen neo hybrid is like a chinnese case, but more expensive.
Next time i will be a buy a chinnese/pirate/noofficial case of spigen.

Sorry but not is damaged, is only light usage of a case.
If spigen make a real nice bumper no a paint bumper will be another history.
Spigen say to me that not is possible to replace, ok, no problem, for me product spigen has a poor quality.
This post is to announce as will the SPIGEN cases in a few months, and customer know that is a bad purchase.
Seems like a cheap case to be painted. This is why I only use seidio cases. I know if it gets scratched, I won't have to worry about it changing to a different color. Dude your case looks ghetto and ratchet now lol throw that sucka in the dumpster

Dude, what exactly do you mean light usage? I have three slim armors in white, black and red and all of them are fine and have gone through quite a few drops and tumbles too.
And honestly, you're not making much of a case for youself befpre proclaiming that spigen cases are of bad quality. I've been using spigen cases since the iphone 5 and their cases seem to be worth the premium they charge in terms of durability and looks.

I also ordered a silver neo hybrid for my note 3, it looks pretty stylish but I will admit that it's not worth the money. The back cover's material feels cheap and isn't grippy at all, and the button covers are loose, they even make noise if I shake the phone.
It will probably protect the phone well in time, but it's definitely not worth the premium price.

Had mine for two months ...still perfect. Honestly wear and tear are going to happen. Besides, how are they going to make money if the product doesn't eventually deteriorate?

Yes, please, upload your pictures !!!
The problem not is all color, black, blue and white after normal usage not is bad.
I know more red case and yellow with the same problem, may be more colors with the same problem, after several months of normal usage.
The issue here is not that fact that it has taken some wear, but the fact that it wore out and is turning a different color.
The problem is they didn't use colored plastic, but rather molded a bunch of white ones and colored them. I think if you're gonna spend 30 bucks on a case (and not go the $5 copy route), it shouldn't change color in just 3 or 4 months of regular use. He clearly didn't even drop it.
They need to mold the shells in different colored plastics, not paint white ones.
edit* I see OP had it for 6 months. My argument still stands - they shouldn't be painted.
Yes I agree that the plastic surround should be colored plastic and not just painted so even if it gets worn out, it will still be the same color not like Oreo!
I was thinking of buying this case or the slim armor but I think I will just buy the knock off ones.
