[Q] Missing Quick Settings in Tablet with Android 4.2.2 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone. I have a generic tablet with android 4.2.2, but the quick settings panel doesn't appear. When touch and swipe from top right corner it not works (one finger, two fingers). In left corner show the notification panel.
Also in AVD emulator doesn't work. At the same way.
I'm new user so i can't post pics.
How i can enable quick settings?
SystemUI version in my table is: 4.2.2-20131026
SystemUI version in AVD emulator is: 4.2.2-576024
Is safe replace system apps (SystemUI, framework-res) from recent build of 4.2.2. if true, i might do it?
Lot of thanks. I appreciate your help.

[Q] Any way to change to System Bar?

For a dedicated industrial app, which will be the only app the user should be using on this tablet (Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1", Android 3.2, rooted) I want to simplify the System Bar. All we need is the back and home buttons, along with maybe the battery and signal-strength indicators. We do not need (or want) the little up-arrow and its tray of apps, or the clock or notification bar or anything else.
How can I achieve this? The System Bar doesn't seem to have an API, unlike the Action Bar, which has its own class in Honeycomb. If I wanted to write my own minimalist System Bar what's the existing one called so I can delete it?
Thanks in advance!

XXELK4 muli window - edit shortcuts?

I can't see a way to re-order or edit the shortcuts in the multi window slide-out panel. I really want just a few apps in there, or if not, then the ones I will use regularly to be at the top. Any way to achieve this?
EDIT: worked it out, stupid question.

[Q] How do I change lockscreen shortcuts

Hello, so recently I bought my new Android phone, Gigabyte Gsmart Aku A1, which is really great, MTK 6598 runs smooth as butter, I've already rooted it, but I can't find on settings how do I change the Lockscreen Shortcuts (Running 4.2.1 JB) and I also can't find anything on Settings on how to change the Notification toggle shade, because I want stuff to be remove and added. I can't find anything on settings. Maybe you can give me SystemUI which as that kind of settings?

For Lockscreen Shortcuts, I think when you press the power button to wake up the screen, just swipe the screen from left to right, and you should be able to add or remove shortcuts.
I figured in that you can't change them at all anymore, after the 4.2 Update which brings widgets.

install Xposed installer and Gravity box, you can edit everything, but it's a little complicated to enable, first you have to install xposed instaler, then install framework in xposed (restart after), then install but do not open gravity box, and enabe module in xposed, then restart the phone again, and edit the hell of your lockscreen

[Q] TYPE_SYSTEM_OVERLAY does not covers Navigation Bar in Android 4.4 KitKat

Hi,
I want to overlay a transparent view on the entire screen including the bottom most Navigation Bar in Android 4.4.
I am able to do so in Android 4.3 by defining the window Manager LayoutParams as TYPE_SYSTEM_OVERLAY, but when I use the same definition, the layout is now pushed behind the navigation bar. could you please let me know if it due to the recent updates in KitKat? or If any one have a solution please share with me.
Thanks in advance !

GravityBox Lockscreen Tweaks Update Suggestions Requests Please! Thank You!

Hi!
I am using GravityBox with Xposed installed on my "Vernee Apollo" phone (the 2K version not the "Lite" version) which runs Android 6.0. The phone has full root.
Using GravityBox with Android 6.0 you have to realize that I don't know what exact and complete functions have GravityBox on its upper versions for later android versions, so I have to ask for developers for a few upgrades for the "Lockscreen Tweaks" section if I may, based on "GravityBox [MM]" only, please! Thank you for your understanding!
To get to the point here, below are the functions/settings I would like to see for the next releases of GravityBox:
1. Add More shortcuts than the 7 standard ones. Maybe we need to have 8, 10, 15 shortcuts on the lockscreen window, displayed on 2-3 rows. I am referring to these particular standard icons and not the "Pie controls" and/or "Application launcher" (I am not using these two sections/functions at all).
2. Add an option to make these 7 icons for these 7 shortcuts to be visible or unvisible/hidden on the lockscreen window. What I mean is the icons to become visible only when a notification arrives and after I see that linked notification, that (those) icon(s) to become hidden again. In this way we would have a clear lockscreen, only with the clock and/or date.
3. Upgrade the standard (stock) icons for the added 7 icons on the lockscreen (those stock white ones) , with updated icons! For instance, the icon for "Messenger" (from Facebook) app is not present in the stock white icons list and I have to use the "Hangouts" (Google) icon for it. You might consider to add (update the stock white integrated list icons) with more relevant icons for representative world wide known applications (like "Messenger" and so on).
4. Add the posibility to move down this 7 standard/stock white icons row on the lockscreen window, anywhere we want on the screen, between hour/date and unlock key icon from the bottom. In this way we can organize the lockscreen visual appearence as we please.
5. Add a function to add a PIN code for locking the screen directly from GravitBox (maybe a home screen shortcut for this function too) and not to use android stock security settings for that.
Thank you for your time and I hope you will add these functions/settings soon!
Have a wonderful life!
