Hi guys, sorry if already posted, but i recently updated to 4.4.2, and, after my first full cicle, i was letting the full battery go, than I it stuck in facebook. I tryed to force turn of, and couldn't boot anymore. I put at computer to charge (it makes a noise), but the led doesnt flash. Same on the wall charger. All original..
I push the power button while connected to PC USB and it doesn't work. Any ideas? please please. I'm outside USA (brazil), and have no suppport here...
thanks in advance

Had the same thing happen to me about 4 months ago ended up having to send it back to htc for a replacement. Luckily it was covered under the manufacturers warranty.

[Q] HTC Legend crashed and won't boot

Hey, I own a HTC Legend wich a friend of mine rooted a few months ago.
I was writing a message when the screen suddenly turned black, it was connected to the charger at the time. when i tried turning it on again nothing happened.
I disconnected the charger pulled out the battery and tried it again, but still nothing happened. when I connect it to the charger again all that happens is the LED starts flickering orange light.
i'm sorry if my english is bad
Please help me !
Steven
Sounds bad. Take it in for repair or warranty if its still under one. Unless someone here have a way to jump start it...
You may try to leave the battery out for an hour and try on it again. After you charge the battery of course.
i just left the battery out for the night, didn't work.
i'm going to check if i got waranty left
Thanks for the reply
I do have warranty left, but i'm worried because I had a custom rom running, and if they find out i will have to pay 40 euros just to get it back

Yea, best choice is to take into warranty if you haven't unlocked bootloader or anything. I really hope you get through your situation, I was scared to death when I though my phone wasn't turning on, but luckily it worked soon enough.
Sadly, If you have rooted your phone, you may have voided your warranty. This applies in Australia (not sure in your country).
If you have to pay 40 euros for it to be repaired, might as well, unless your phone magically started working like mines o-O
Best of Luck!
just a minute ago it started working again, out of nowhere it turned on! Thanks for the replies!!

Atrix stopped working

Hello,
I having big problem on my Atrix. Out of nowhere he stopped working, I've tried everything - taking out the battery (which had 40% when it happened), sim card, connecting to original wall charger. Nothing. I'm pressing the power on button and it doesn't turn on.
:crying:
If anybody have any idea, I begging you to help me.
Thank you and good day.
P.S. I forgot to mention that the phone is with me only a month, worked perfectly
Hello again,
I would like to add something that I noticed about the phone and maybe someone could use it to get ahold of the problem. Every now and then (few hours mostly but sometimes minutes) the phone turn on, get past the boot sequence but then get stuck and shut off again.
Last time I connected the phone to the pc, the pc recognize that there is a device but not past MOT ADB device to the MB860 like it did before. This time it got stuck in the "UNLOCKED" screen and shut off again.
I will be hugely thankful for someone who can point to the problem and even find way to fix the problem.
Did you install any custom rom?
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda app-developers app
Yes, Jokersax cm10 rom.
Luckily the phone resumed to work but I'm scared to **** it will happen
do you have ATT or INTL Atrix?
Same thing happened to me..few months ago when trying to flash nutrino..dont worry it is software related..i tried everything. but oneday it started working again out of nowhere

[SOLVED] HOX+ tragic death?

Hey guys, I have a really big problem here and I thought some of you might know what I could do. Search didn't find me anything.
So here's the situation: I've been running a rooted HOX+ for approx. 5 months now, mostly AOKP (shoutout to maxwen awesome ROM).
About a week ago, I installed ViperX+ and the EliteKernel OXP. Running fine, up to saturday evening. I was running low on battery, plugged the phone in last second. However, it shut down immediately afterwards (downanimation was shown though, so it didn't crash). Now it won't charge at all. The LED isn't even blinking :crying:
I tried plugging it in to various power supplies, also it can't be the cable (tried switchin' those too and it works on other phones). Plugging into PC doesn't work either.
I have no idea what to do or where this came from. I really hope somebody has an idea what this could be and how to solve it since i really don't want to lose my data and send it back to fix it (would that even be covered by warranty )
Appreciate your help and also, if this isn't in the right forum here, sorry mods and please move

Try to just let it plugged in for a couple of hours and then keep pressing the power button for 20-30sec and it should boot up again..
Hope that ends up working for you!

I dont think this will help you, but you could open up the device and then disconnect the battery. It is a 1s lipo, so you can charge it with a lipo charger that supports 1s lipos (maybe at your local hobby store) Then you solder it together again and you would be able to flash another Rom and Kernel. I know that this is Risky, but i think that this case is not covered by your guarantee.

Send it back for warranty. HTC wont even know you rooted it and chances are if they do, they wont even care they will just replace it. Thats what happend with my HTC One S
Ok guys, sorry for the fuss.
IT WAS THE MICRO-USB PORT! :banghead:
I stabbed around a bit and cleaned it. BAM! It works. Yaay!

Random shut off and bricked?

I bought a g5 from a wholesaler and I was browsing facebook when the phone froze then restarted and kept freezing on the lg logo on boot up and seemed to try to boot back up but finally turned off and wouldn't boot back up nor charge or anything. Anyone familiar with this?

Before anyone suggest anything. Have you tried ro remove the battery, put the charger part back again without the battery. Then pressand hold the power button for about 20-50 seconds. Then put the battery back in the phone and try to turn it on? Also, have you try to access recovery mode or download mode? And also, can you connect your phone to the computer to see if you can verify that when you connect the phone the computer does detect it?
Joseguillen1994 I didn't have a computer to look this stuff up as I'm not at home or even near a usable computer. I was browsing facebook and then bam it froze then wouldn't power back on.

Is this a common problem with this phone or something? I see very few cases of this so ill just ask now.

It is a very uncommon problem. Among the few peoples who have reported that the phone is bricked is because they flashed something that wasnt meant to be flash in their phones. For instace, a person in xda went ahead to flash something meant to be used only for the h850. Then his phone began to boot and then it wouldnt turn on anymore. But seems like this is not your case. Did you try to remove the battery and all i said?

Also, whenever you get near any computer, please connect the LG G5 and see whether the device appears in device manager
I will try that and I've seen a few people report to be using the phone with no problems and then it freezes and will not power back on. So I'm not to sure what's going on here. I did all of that and nothing. I returned to the seller and he swapped me and with this one I get random reboots after the phone freezing for a moment before resetting back to the lg logo and then the AT&T logo before starting back up.

okay. this happened to me with my father's LG G3. i was downloading a gps app to compare signals with another phone i have, not lg branded and i put the lg g3 in my pocket after i tested the app . when i took the phone out of my pocket it was rebooting and even if i did wipe the system, cache and dalvik , and then install the custom rom back again the phone would allow me to install any rom. so, i had an spare battery and i decided to try it as a last resource. when i tried the spare battery it did allow me to install the custom roms again without the need to wipe everything. so, another thing you might want to consider is a defective battery. tomorrow i will try to drain the energy of the battery was causing the issue in the LG g3, then im going to recharge it once again to see if it fix the problem. so, this is another possibility for your problem.
Well here's the thing. When I went to swap with the seller, we tested the battery with the new lg g5. And it powered right on. And what's odd is that when we put it back into the defective g5, wouldn't power on. So powered on one but not the other.

Hahaha thats why i said possibility. In my situation it was the battery for the g3. I assume you already tried to use the phone without installing any user apps, right? By the way. Can you turn on the new one? If you can manage to pass the boot screen, you might go to the power menu and press to boot in safe mode. (just to make sure it isnt any applications)
This has happened to me several times
I have used LG phones for the last 10 months. With my first one, an LG G4, it was just fine for around 7 months, and then I experienced the exact screen-freeze and reboot issue you mentioned. I remove the battery and re-insert it, and it works again. Then, a week later, GONE. Bricked. I call AT&T, and they send me a replacement. This one lasts just over a month, until the exact same issue occurs. Now I'm more than a little miffed. I call AT&T, and they accept my request for a new LG G5. I'm super-excited with this brand new beast in my hands. Three days into my usage, BAM! Screen freeze, reboot, repeat. I'm now into my fourth LG device, this latest one a replacement LG G5 from AT&T. Fingers crossed this one turns out okay!
