I have a D801(tmobile LG G2) rooted stock rom, I am also running smart start version 3.1. I am trying to find what data the app is sending and where it sends it. My hopes are to have tasker perform this task in conjunction with autovoice as of now i have tasker load app input tap then kill the app. I am happy with the way it works but wanna see if it can be done without loading the app. Any help with this would be great Thanks.

1. How do i install swype ? I cant seem to find it in the market place.
2. How do i exit any application. I use the back (or return key) to come out of a program ? I checked the task killer and quite a lot of program seem to be running. Is this the only place i can kill (or close) them ?
3. Contacts sent as a business card over sms are not received while via bluetooth its ok.
Would have more questions as I explore.
You will not find SWYPE in the marketplace. But you should be able to google it up Search for Swype HGVA version.
Use the back key to exit any app. And don't worry about the memory. Froyo deals with it intelligently and automatically exit apps if it runs low on ram

2. If you want to kill an application completely, It can be done through Menu button > Settings > Applications > Manage applications > Running Tab and look for the app you want to kill. select it then hit Force stop button.
3. yeah, unfortunately we can't send/receive vcards (business card) over SMS. I think there are 3rd party app that can manage this available in the Market. just search using keywords vcf or vcard.

So, short: Turn on of Flash Player is not possiblem, becose processor on device is not supported by Flash 10.1
There's no flash player for Optimus One, but why do you need it? Maybie there's an app for that?

Hi all,
I'm currently developing a simple alarm app. Obviously, it is essential that the user can not simply disable the app with task manager e.g. A user could accidentally close the app and therefore not get the reminder. The sound of the reminder must not go away before the user presses a few buttons in the app.
How can I do this? A non-overridable and non-closable app.

Because of the nature of how Android and Linux runs I don't believe this is possible as you can always force close an application. Your best option in to just have a popup or warning when the user first loads the app telling them to make sure to disable or put an exception on your app.
The stock alarm/timer app is not affected by task killers so its possible to overcome it, possibly by using an autorun condition to relaunch after its killed?

Hi All,
I have 2x Galaxy S3's, a work one and my own one, my personal one is rooted (to allow titanium backup to do it's thing), it also has ClockworkMod running on it. It's got the stock rom still.
I'm an android developer day to do, and now when developing my app, if I'm using my work phone and it crashes on the phone it says Your App has crashed, click okay to force close.
However, on my rooted phone it doesn't do that, it just crashes and I have to restart the phone just stays with the notification top bar still there and working (clock changes and can see wifi sending/receiving) . But i can't close the app, can't use the home button etc
Does anyone know the solution to this? It's quite infuriating at times.

I wanted to play around with the Tasker app and got the idea to automate Google Play Music with it.
In one of the latest updates for GPM there is an Option to only show my downloaded content.
So what I wanted to do was to automatically switch to "downloaded content only" when my phone
disconnects from any wifi network and switch back to "everything" when my phone connects to wifi.
I have not found an option to perform in-app-actions like that in Tasker but i have found the option to run scripts.
Since i'm not really into scripts and programming i'd like to ask if there is anybody here who can help me with that.

No Load App, and Load Last app is unavailable. Been playing around with Tasker for about two weeks and have installed it/uninstalled it. Still the same. I have made/used a few profiles but wanted to make the simple headphone plugin music player menu profile but I cant do it if I have no way of loading aps to a menu. If you want a singular app to load when your headset is plugged in, say Spotify for example you can use the launch app action and select Spotify. If you're wanting a selection of apps to pick from when you plug you're headset in, you're going to have to create a scene to do this. I suggest going over the pocketables tutorials or looking up the Tasker google group.
