[Q] Motherboard problem - HTC Desire V

Hey guys,
My HTC Desire V recently stopped working. It just switched off suddenly and I am not able to switch it back on. Its not charging either. I gave it for repair and they say that there is some issue with the motherboard and it needs to be replaced. Now, my phone is not under warranty and the motherboard replacement is actually quite costly. Any suggestions? Is there some method by which I can get it back on?
In case replacing the motherboard is the only option left, is there any way I can maybe sell it somewhere? As in, is there a market for dead phones?

Oh yeah, perhaps you have the same problem as here
Suggestions is to replace only eMMC KMSJS000KM-B308 in your motherboard (of course if you know how to use programmer e.g. Riff Box JTAG and soldering station). Or just replace whole motherboard (quickly and easily at home).

[Q] Oh ****, charger port.

Got a question.
I think I've damaged the USB port on my HTC HD2 by jamming the cord in too hard. It's pushed the port a bit up inside the phone and now if I don't put it in correctly and firmly, the phone won't charge or it'll cause a short circuit. This phone is less then a month old and was purchased on a plan through JB Hifi (Electronic store) so it's still under warranty.
Can I take it in and claim warranty or what? I don't got mobile insurance but either it's repaired or it won't be good for much longer. I'd prefer to be able to claim it under warranty but unsure.
Will Telstra (My network provider) accept it or? And should I flash it back to the original stock bloatware full ROM before attempting it?
from a person who has just had his phone returned unrepaired because damage to he usb port was out of warranty, it cost £280 for a new PCB.
I will be disassembling my phone to re-solder my micro usb port back onto the PCB, assuming i have not pulled up any pads!
its not covered by the standard htc warranty, but there's a reasonable chance if you go back to the seller and say its been getting progressively worse for a few weeks and just now started shorting they may just swap it out to keep you sweet.

[Q] Motherboard replacement for Vibrant?

Hi Guys,
I need a motherboard replacement for my t959. Does anyone know where I can get one, or maybe it is better to buy a for parts phone? Is there a website that sells OEM new motherboards? I can't seem to find one online. Thank you!
Also, how do if the motherboard is intact when looking for for parts/repair phones? Screen is broken, cracked? Broken LCD? if the screen doesn't turn on does that mean the motherboard is bad? I just need the motherboard to fix a broken usb port (heard resoldering a new one one is just a temporary fix).

Motherboard Replacement

My hardbrick motherboard P/N 60-OK0AMBA000-B03TF201,
if motherboard P/N 60-OK0AMBA000-B05TF201 will be good? Will work in my Asus TF201?
Thanks for the reply
no one knows anything?
Not 100% sure, but from the looks of it, the only difference is one was manufactured later on. The first section would indicate that they are the exact same part.
If it does work, it's possible that the replacement motherboard may be expecting a digitizer glass with a certain rev. If yours doesn't match then your x-axis (left/right) will end up being reversed. You aren't going to know until you've assembled.
Appartently this can be fixed thru software but requries unlocking/rooting (one or the other or both... i'm not sure).
Thanks for the reply
That motherboard sold and bought another one. INSTALL, write or work
Motherboard replacement ... but I got a board with the same numbers, it works correctly.

Replacement Main board to fix dead brick?

i recently fell victim to a dead brick and a USB jig didn't help.
but i have been wondering if i was to buy a replacement Mainboard from Ebay like this one
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Replaceme...K_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item232cf5ae18
would i be able to simply put this in rather than having to send my phone off for a JTag repair?
im kinda assuming you cant but it dosn't hurt to ask i guess

LCD Connector to Motherboard

Hey guys
My phone touch was broken so I had it replaced at a local store. The touch worked fine for some days but then it suddenly stopped working.
This time I showed the phone to authorised service center. They told me that the LCD connector to Motherboard is broken and they can only replace the full motherboard.
So can anyone advise me where can I get this LCD Connector to MB?? I lives in Sonipat near Delhi!!!
Thanks in advance
