1 more just in case
ROM's great, have a couple questions
1. I get an odd notification for emails that won't stop until I drag down status bar. I'm sure it's something I activated but can't, for the life me, find
2. Is there updated firmware/radios to use with KK? My battery life has gone in the toilet when mobile data on. Shut it off and battery lasts forever. I know data uses more battery but only lasts half a day with data on/ minimal use.

stock messaging app
I installed the latest version of LS 3.0 and my stock messaging app refuses to open. I tried posting on the Google+ site for it but no answer. And I am not allowed to post on the ROM thread so I figured I'd try here. I am just wondering if its broken or is it something I can fix. I tried installing a couple messaging apps but they won't open either. And I hate hangouts. Love the rest of the ROM but no messaging app is a deal breaker for me
Keyboard Landscape mode error??
So whenever i turn my phone to the side (landscape) the keyboard is either not there or just the top of it appears, as if its "under the phone". I can deal with typing in portrait mode, but i would like to eventually fond a fix for this??
Liquidsmooth - unable to change alarm or ring tone
When changing the sound profile to a new sound the alarm or ring tone, I cannot select a different sound. When the option to change the path shows up, the option for changing to /system/media/audio/alarms or /system/media/ui /system/media/audio/ringtones is not possible.
LiquidSmooth Floating Window issue with Chrome Beta
Any idea why my chrome beta will only open in floating mode unless I open it from recents? Tried clearing cache/data and reinstalling it to no avail.
5.0.2 Droid DNA
OK so first off let me start by saying I love having lollipop on my Droid DNA!! Now with that being said I have a question, I love having double tap to wake but is there a way to either disable it all together (last ditch effort), or preferably just have the bottom three buttons not wake the phone? For some reason when I push the back of my phone it thinks I hit the home button and wakes the screen making me have a horrible battery life. Any insight would be much appreciated!

Disregard that! It was a Kernel issue!! Thanks anyway!
Bluetooth Issue
I am also running into Bluetooth issues with this ROM too. Certainly a bit frustrating as that's the one thing I've been having a major problem with, and is preventing me from using it as my daily driver.
Every time I toggle Bluetooth from 'On' to 'Off', I receive an error message stating that Bluetooth Share has stopped (see attached screenshot).
As soon as this message has popped up once, I can no longer stream audio via Bluetooth whatsoever, even after attempting to unpair and re-pair the device and/or rebooting my phone. The audio will either play in tiny little flits and spurts for a second or two and drop off completely, or will play for a split second initially and then drop off.
I encounter no Bluetooth issues whatsoever, with the exact same hardware, using one of Santod's other Lollipop dlx ROMs however ([ROM][5.0.1] Google Play Edition | Lollipop | v1.02 [12-06-14]).
Thoughts?
Anyone? Bueller?

*BUMP*
Anyone encounter bluetooth issues such as this that they were able to fix? I'm dying to get this addressed and use this otherwise kickass ROM as my daily driver!
Failed to Install with TWRP/CWM Recovery
I'm having a bit of an issue while trying to install this ROM to my HTC DNA. I keep trying to install LS-LP-v4.0-2015-01-12-liquid_dlx.zip, but whenever I do, it gives me this error:
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system at /system: no such file or directory
unmount of /system failed; no such volume
Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset
E: Error in /data/media/0/Lollipop/LS-LP-v4.0-2015-01-12-liquid_dlx.zip

Installation aborted.
Any idea what's going on? I've tried doing this on TWRP 2.7.0.0 and ClockWorkMod Recovery v6.0.4.5, but both give me the same error. I've run a factory reset each time before installing as well. Transitioning over from from ViperDNA Sense 6.
EDIT: It changed to this error log:
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system at /system: no such file or directory
unmount of /system failed; no such volume

My phone is currently sitting without a ROM installed, so this could become a bit more of a problem. Yes, I created a backup, but it's not being recognized by either Recovery tool.
bringing support to HTC butterfly
nice work, i have been a fan of liquid smooth roms when i had Motorola razr, i wonder if you can bring the support to the international version of droid DNA which is htc butterfly, (x920d) i would appreciate it a lot
I too am having the same issue. I haven't found or heard of a fix. There has been talk on the Official CM12 thread that BT has been fixed with the latest nightly. Im just hoping that the next build of this ROM incorporates the fix.

HONEYCOMB Lockscreen for Legend Nightlies
As many of you have probably noticed, XDA member bizdady has been making Honeycomb lockscreens for CM7 RCs and Nightlies for various devices.
Unfortunately, the Legend was not supported... Until now!
After following the instructions below, a honeycomb themed lockscreen will completely replace the "style options" for the CM7 lockscreen including "Sliding Tab", "Rotary", "Rotary revamped", and "Lense".

INSTRUCTIONS
Make a backup!
Download the applicable attached zip and flash like a normal ROM.
Go here to thank/donate to bizdady.
Enjoy!
NOTES
ONLY LISTED NIGHTLY BUILDS ARE SUPPORTED! Please check the pre-requisites to verify which nightly you'll need to be running.
These instructions are for S-ON users. S-OFF users can go to the original post here and use metamorph.
Future nightlies will be supported - but NOT every single one!
The attached zip is purely the work of bizdady.
I will not answer questions about how to reverse/change the modification so please run a backup or see the second comment below.

To go back to normal you can always reflash your current nightly rom. That will overwrite the modded framework and put everything back to stock.
^ er..flashing a copy or backup of the original cm7 b12 framework-res.apk & Clockopia.ttf will do the job instead of flashing the rom again. works for me, at least
i'm on 140lcd w/ the settings below. swiping from right to left opens either my messaging app or the vibrate option.
however, shouldn't i be getting buttons on the right portion like the one on the left below?

The icons are setup for rotary style so only an unlock icon in middle shows. If you set it to sliders will have invincible icons for sound/text.
Sent from my Evo 4G CM7 nightly machine!
^ cool, man! thought i was missing something. hope you could do another version w/ buttons/icons for both txt and sound. i'm more inclined to use the sliders as the rotary thingies don't look good on my modded screen. anyway, thanks again...
New msg indictors for sms & email r my biggest intrest 4 lockscreen.
thanks great work but i have a problem
i have rom cm7 but if i flash the zip with rom manager, does not start after reboot
where i wrong?
rename the zip?
thanks all
Two questions:
1) Do you mean the phone won't start at all, or you just have to press the power button yourself?
2) Which nightly are you on?
If you experience problems, I recommend returning to your backup.
Strange behaviour on new nightlies
I am having an issue with the Honeycomb lockscreen on the latest CM7 nightlies.
When I flash the lockscreen, the device and all functions work properly but the menus and dialog screens are messed up with incorrect (and often funny) text.
The affected ones I have noticed are:
- Damaged SD Card (although if you open File Manager the SD card works just fine)
- USB connection dialog from status bar (gives an error message but it actually works if you click on it)
- Long-press power button menu (Silent Mode, Airplane Mode, Profile, Reboot, Power Off)- the text goes all funny and when you click one of the menu items you get an even funnier dialog box but in the end it works the way it should (if you remember where to click)
The above all happens after I flash the lockscreen to the newer CM7 nightlies (tries with 25, 26, 27, 28) and when I re-flash the ROM (i.e. override the lockscreen) everything goes back to normal (fixed)

As it says in the OP, this lockscreen only works on Nightly 12 & 13. You'll also notice that the zips are clearly labeled 12 & 13.
I'll ask the original developer for 28, but I didn't want to keep bothering him with requests for every single nightly.
I am aware of that but I kept trying the lockscreen with newer builds (after 12 and 13 and into the early 20s for experimentation sake) and it was working fine with no issue at all until build #25 and that's why I felt the need to report it now
Fair enough, but I can't guarantee it'll work beyond 12 and 13 right now. I also don't have the expertise to fix myself since I'm not the original developer. Hopefully we'll have one for 28 from the dev at some point.

This is the place to discuss the CyanogenMod nightlies. Feel free to talk about anything related to these ROMS, but to receive acknowledgement by a developer of any problems you find, the following conditions should be met:
Use the stock CyanogenMod kernel
Do not overclock
Use the default system apps (launcher etc.)
Do not use apps2sd or similar
Before posting a problem you should:
Check the posts below for a solution / fix
Read the last 10 pages of this thread for a post with a similar problem
Backup, reflash with a full wipe, check if the bug is still there
Wait 24 hours for the next nightly, the devs probably already know about it
If the problem still persists after the next nighlty appears and all the above steps have been followed, post your problem and we'll see if there is something we can do. Please include the following information:
Which Nightly you are running
Which Nightly the bug first appeared (if known)
*Confirm Stock Everything* (shows that you have read all the above)
Detailed steps to reproduce the bug (add a screenshot if it helps)
OLD BASEBAND?
If your phone uses the old baseband, you need to upgrade to the new baseband. This improves 3G signal and battery life. There are many guides on how to do this so just have a quick look around, or even watch a video on Youtube.
NO-APN PROBLEMS?
All APN problems related to 'funny SIMs' have been fixed, please thank werewolfo for generously donating an Italian funny SIM for me to test with!.
Major improvements include:
New baseband support
Better 3G Reception
.35 kernel support (only)
Offline charging
Quicker GPS lock
Smoother Accelerometers
Better 3G signal
Better battery life

One guy from dev thread suggested to flash baseband from latest official ROM for your country, may be that can help
He said:
"hey guys, try downloading the official gingerbread from vodafone in .kdz, extract the baseband from that rom and use it in your rom. If you don't know how, PM me."
Here is the link:

@adfad
What do you think about that bug:Call settings/additional settings doesn't work. An error "network or Sim card error" occurs. This works in official roms and doesn't work in mik's 6.5.8 too.

The problem is a CyanogenMod problem. Someone has already submitted some patches recently, I've tested them and they work fine so they should be merged very soon.
I encounter a pretty annoying bug with outgoing/incoming calls. I cannot hang up after the phone after the conversation. I get a a blackscreen. When the other person at the other end hangs up the sound comes on to say call has been disconnected. After this, you cannot use your phone. pushing and holding the power key only makes your buttons (on the phone) flash. You have to remove battery and reboot in order to fix the problem.

Hmm nothing funny there either. I'll need to see the logcat of the radio again but from boot (1st command again). It scrolls pretty quick sometimes so try to get it all from the very beginning.
edit - this might be easier:
Code:
adb logcat -b radio > logcat.txt
switch the phone off, run the command BEFORE you switch the phone on (it'll say waiting for device) then switch the phone on and wait until you see the lock screen. you won't see anything on the screen, it saves it all to the logcat.txt file.
press ctrl + C to quit adb and paste the content of the file

The proximity sensor driver needed updating in the kernel, it's already fixed and will be in Nightly #2. However there is a fix, plug the phone in to charge and it comes back to life!
Is this going to stay on new baseband? I just don't see the need in upgrading baseband if mobile data doesn't work

Awesome port and great work! The only "bug" I'm experiencing is Google Voice force closes before you can get into the app to do anything. I tried a full wipe fresh install with and without "tweaked buildprop" but that didn't seem to have any affect. Anything else I can do to help test?
Edit:
1. Using version 3.1.11
2. Came from your most recent CNA build for Photon on first full wipe; obviously 2nd full wipe was MIUI to MIUI. This was a true nuke 'n pave with me blowing away my sdcard contents as well.
3. I have not restored any data unless you count installing about 15 apps from the play store.
4. Google Voice force closes no matter what I try (post setup). It launched and let me set up, after that constant FC's.
5. I'm willing to get this for you if you believe it will be of help. Let me know and I'll go learn how using your thread. Logcats<--THIS IS PREFERRED.

so I followed all of the directions (they are different on your OP than on your site itself - tried both) and when the phone boots up I have no Mobile Network. I selected Sprint CDMA (since that is what I have). Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I'm trying to install the latest build.

Workarounds
To mount internal/external storage automatically at boot:
Install latest revision.
Go to Play Store and install SManager.
Open SManager, and choose the "browse as root" option.
Navigate to /system/etc (this may require pressing the up arrow a few times to get to the root directory)
Find the file "init.cptb.mount_sd.sh" and press it to select it.
In the box that pops up, make sure "run as script" is selected.
Press the button for "Su" to enable the script to run as root.
Press the button for "Boot" to enable the script to run after the system boots.
Look for the option to save those settings (should be at the top of the window) and press it.
Press the exit button to exit.
Manually reboot the device.
Profit.
To install purchased apps from the Play Store:
Install Xposed Framework.
Install MoDaCo Toolkit.
Choose option in Toolkit (under System) to "Disable Forward Lock"
FAQ
Q: Why doesn't my BlinkFeed show any pictures?
A: Because internal storage has to be mounted for it to do so. Complete the storage workaround mentioned above, reboot, and you should have pictures on BlinkFeed.
Q: Why can't I move apps to SD card/save video highlights/do anything else remotely related to storage?
A: Because storage card isn't getting mounted automatically, the permissions for apps to write to it are messed up. Once storage is working properly, so will all of these things.
Q: Why is my LTE data keep disconnecting and my signal bars not changing?
A: Because this is a WIP port from a GSM device. The signal bars are likely due to some hex edits that need to be made, but that is tedious and painstaking work. Feel free to jump in and help.
Q: Why doesn't camera work?
A: Because this is a WIP port from a device with different camera hardware. Also, because you haven't fixed it yet .
Q: Are there any mods I can install for this ROM?
A: I have had some success with some Xposed Mods, including Sense 5 Toolbox and Xposed Statusbar Mods. BUT BE CAREFUL! BACKUP FIRST! Any incompatible mods could bork the ROM.
Refreshing the page constantly....waiting to download...
Edit: Downloading now!!!!! I was on my way to bed, but so much for that!

After some testing, I want to share my findings.
When you first boot the Rom:
You might want to change the keyboard settings to QWERTY, since it's set to QWERTZ by default, unless you like it that way.
3G/4G connection:
It is quite buggy. It will connect to the 4g network, but only briefly, then it loses all connection. I also was not able to actually use the data while it was connected, either. It was not until I parked at work this morning did I see a stable 3g connection, as there is no 4g at my job as of yet.
Inaccurate signal readings and/or Statusbar:
Clearly you can see from the screenshot that I have no signal (which I never have at work), but my statusbar says otherwise. I'm working on checking the cause of this, or how to remedy it (externally, because I don't know anything about the internal coding...I leave that up to the devs). I used SignalCheck Lite from the play store to check.
Storage mount:
I found a simple fix to mount the internal! Find an app from the play store that allows you to Hot Restart/Soft Reboot. <---Same thing, for those who do not know.
Side notes about storage:
1) I learned by installing the Xposed Framework, and hot rebooting to set the changes. The framework didn't work, but I noticed that my storage had mounted when I entered TB to boot into recovery.
EDIT:
I downloaded the latest version of Xposed, and it works.
2) You don't need the internal to be mounted to install apps that are uploaded to Dropbox or Google Drive. They use temp folders, unlike downloading from browsers (which need the internal). I uploaded Xposed from another device, and installed it from Drive.
3) You cannot take any screenshots without mounting the internal. (Duh, where would it save?)
I was able to play music from my internal sd, and I was able to see my pics loaded in the internal.
Important: A full reboot breaks the mount, but another hot reboot fixes it. I haven't found a way to mount the external sd, but in the storage settings, it definitely knows that it's there, because it reads correctly.
Weird behavior of storage:
After a full reboot to break the storage, and a soft reboot to restore it, the music players would no longer recognize the music on the phone. But when I used a file explorer to navigate to the location, the files were there, and I was able to play them one by one.
After an unspecified amount of time, it began recognizing the music again. Not sure why.
Side note:
1) While having issues with the media storage (what if I wipe it....hmmm.....), the gallery always displayed pictures while the internal was mounted.
EDIT @ 8:16a EST:
So after being booted for approx. 2hrs straight, my ext sd is now being read. It doesn't appear in TB, but it certainly shows up in file managers. All of my music & all of my pictures are here. The only thing that I changed was the removal of the bloatware & the Google Apps that are available on the Play Store. It cleared some /system space, and now everything is being read. Strange....
Blinkfeed:
FIrst off, to use Blinkfeed, you must go to Settings-->Personalize-->Home Screen Style, and select Blinkfeed. The traditional style allows 7 screens max, just like before.
Secondly, and more importantly to know, Blinkfeed doesn't display pictures without the internal being mounted.
Camera:
Yeah....right. Not going there. Nothing that I can contribute. Just know that it doesn't work...for now.
Other:
When the phone first started reading my external, the ext_sd folder was empty, but now it is beginning to read everything as normal. It seems like time is the greatest factor here. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's the mount speeds. Who knows.
The zip file attached works. It works in any rom, actually, AOSP and Sense alike. It was found from the Stock With Goodies thread. You can also flash any of OMJ's mod packs, for this option is in all of them.
Those are my findings so far.

woo hoo! this must be an early Christmas!
So I noticed there's no superuser pre installed. What's the terminal command to get storage data to read for ti back-up? And what does everyone recommend for all the bloatware from whatever country this is hard off of? Haha! Woah guys. This is awesome though!

Presenting Google's latest treat. Android 4.4 Kitkat.
What is Evervolv?
We are an AOSP port aimed at Snapdragon powered devices.
Our rom includes all the basics:
Extended PowerMenu
Battery %,
Volume button music control.
Trackball Wake
Theme manager
Unique additions include:
sixbar signal strength
lockscreen dialpad, and a few lockscreen mods
However our biggest feature is the ability to turn all that off with one switch in the toolbox, giving you 100% aosp look and feel.
We also do eng builds (instead of userdebug like everyone else) providing more open experience (ie adb root by default) and full complement of commandline tools (busybox, vim, ssh, curl/wet with ssl support!)
Our newest addition is a custom updater written from scratch by Preludedrew and myself, featuring automatic update checks, support for downloading gapps, and advanced automatic install (TWRP and CWM supported but TWRP prefered)
Notes:
Superuser is in the toolbox.
Some display issues.
wifi hotspot (tether) is broke
4.2/3 issues carry over:
data (3g) might be unstable
no camcorder
no usb tether
Everything else should be fine.
Gapps:
available in updater ( source http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012857 )
STOP!! NOT FOR STOCK HBOOT
Q: What is blackrose? A: DON'T download if you don't know http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1270589
About space constraints. Kitkat is the biggest android to date. To save space the following apps have been removed from the system img.
VideoEditor
Calendar (can download GoogleCalendar from Market)
Email/Exchange (use gmail or flash attached zip to add them back.)
QuickSearch (replaced by GoogleSearch in gapps anyway)
Only including newest sounds package (Ringtones/Notifications/Alarms)
No bootanimation
If demand is high enough i am open to adding Calendar back in. VideoEditor is out for good its just way too big. I have attached a flashable zip containing Email/Exchange if you need it, at 6mb they are also too big to put back in by default.
If you have other ideas of things to remove, feel free to comment. Obviously any evervolv apps are not going to be removed so don't even ask.
Download:
http://evervolv.com/devices/passion
Evervolv version 4.0.0
Squished package should fit (with gapps) on 250MB /system
Nightlies will return soon.

Holy crap man! This is amazing. Great Work!
WOW.... That is just amazing... I was thinking about that this morning... Haha! Well Done. Thanks very much. Will have a try now.
Does not appear to be working with ART (I get a bootloop) This is on a 250/10 system partition, do I need larger for ART? This is both with and without gapps.
Still, awesome work!

I believe ART only works with odexd (user) builds
EDIT: I tried a user build. ART is broken on that as well.
SUCCEEDED...
This deserves to be on the XDA portal. C'mon guys vote for it!

Just flashed the ev_passion-4.0.0p1-perdo-squished.zip and can't believe how smooth it is. Very good job!
One major problem I find is that I cannot screen capture using ddms and there's is no "preview" on "recent" (long press home button). So I wonder if it is due to the display driver isn't quite fit to this ROM.
Here's logcat when I tried to take screenshot using ddms:
Code:

This is a humongous job, many thanks Texasice, i was was hoping for a full working camera/camcorder app, do you think we have a chance?
Can I ask what is the best you can recommend including cache and data besides system at 250? ty

Great stuff here! Looks like Google Maps is acting right as well.
For some reason my notification bar stopped working though, no notifications are coming through and I can't get it to show the settings panel. Also the home key doesn't seem to do anything.
Other than that, so far so good!

I think the problems I was having were caused when I installed gapps and somehow the phone got partially stuck in the setup mode where those functions are disabled. I reformatted and tried again (making sure to install gapps before booting) and everything seems fine.
