Concerning custom ROM lag - G2 General

Hello all,
As all of us know, any custom ROM such as CM or AOSP lags after awhile during usage. My question is, since KK sources for D802 are released, does that spell lag free custom ROM experience? And I know ETAs are discouraged but when can we expect to see these changes?

Wait for the 4.4 kernel. The current one is 4.2.2 working with a 4.4 rom.
Issues are to be expected

No one can tell you what's the best custom ROM for you, because we experience ROM diffrently.
How about a little custom ROM thread reading? and how about flash them all and see what ROM fits your needs?

What I did initially was sort threads based on views and or posts. Good indicator of what seems to bed popular while being able to read up on others positive or negative experiences.
What works for 20 others may not work for you as our phones are all different.

Using a Kernel other than Semaphore?

Is anyone out there using a non-Semaphore based kernel?
In my experience, Phore (and its variants) is fast & smooth, but for reasons I have yet to surprise, after a few days my poor refurb can't handle it & becomes a kernel panic landmine.
Again, not bashing Semaphore (why would I? It's awesome).
Just looking for something that might prove more stable on MY finicky phone besides the stock CM kernel.

Android 4.3 custom ROMS

Does anyone know of any custom custom roms running 4.3 yet?? :silly::
I can't wait for a 4.3. I love the new stuff.
I know there are a couple of CM 10.2 dailies floating around. That's based off of 4.3, though they are daily builds, and very early builds that aren't officially supported, so don't expect them to be good daily drivers.
Other than that I haven't seen anything.

You won't likely see anything TW based for awhile.

Don't care if it's tw based.

I'm running fitsnugly's euroskank 4.3 ROM. Very, very smooth and fast. Very small insignificant bugs to me. The main things work well, BT, gps, WiFi, browsing. The camera needs a little work but for the most part is fine.

[q] aosp roms

So ive flashed alot of TW roms. But I really want to go to aosp 4.3. What is good n stable along these lines? What kernels does AOSP have? Is it worth going from 4.1.2 to 4.3 or should I stick to AOSP 4.2 roms. All advice is welcome

The latest CM is probably the most stable AOSP kernel out there right now. I would just use the stock CM kernel though as I get some weird issues with the other kernels out there.

There is no BEST and yet they are all the BEST. Members are expected to research and read through the Development threads. The only thing you will get here is a list of all the ROM's & Kernels because every member has found what is best for them. You can get the same list by looking at the first few pages in development.

Have a great day!

You ever figure out which was better?
I personally like Slim 2.2beta 2013119, the 4.3 version.
I had SlimKat, CM11 and LiquidKat from Liquidsmooth Team and for some reason I have gotten worse signal with the 4.4 ROMs.
And that's what caused me to reverrt back to a 4.3 ROM.
There was one good working 4.4 ROM Nexus Expereince 1.1 stable build that everything to seemed to work good.
I'll keep trying the new releases sa they come out for a really good 4.4 though.
I like slim best as well so far although the screen artifacts are a deal breaker for me. Back on cm10 for now until 4.4 becomes more stable.... I seem to have storage issues with both slimkat and cm11
