plz Help..accidently flashed back beanstown build 22 from 4.3 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I was running beans build 22 on 4.1.2 vramc3. I updated with odin a few months back and flashed nebula rom..everything was working perfectly. I then wanted to try Alliance rom and accidently flashed the old beans build 22 i was running before. Its running fine but my question is on settings it says Android 4.1.2 baseband is MJ9 and build is vramc3, can I just reflash in recovery or do I have to do the whole odin process over again??
Any help appreciated. ..

Your fine. Your baseband is the modem your on
So don't sweat. You are able to flash back and forth, from 4.3 to 4.1.2 or other way around, with no issues
And sorry yes you can just reflash in recovery with no issues

Stuck in bootloop after installing leaked 4.2.1 then removing it

Hey there
I installed a leaked 4.2.1 firmware but it turned out to be too buggy so I removed it and installed the stock 4.1.2 firmware which is I9300XXEMB5_I9300OXAEMB5_BTU however I get stuck in a bootloop after that. What do you think is causing the problem? I used to flash it using ODIN just fine but for some reason now I am in a bootloop. I was able to flash CWM and install Android Revolution HD and it's working but I'd like to go back to stock ROM without root or anything since a couple of friends of mine ended up with broken motherboards after being rooted for a while.
Would flashing this bootloader "bootLoader_XXEMB5.tar.md5" and then the stock ROM work? The 4.2.1 leaked ROM may have updated my bootloader or something.
Thanks!
You have to boot in recovery and wipe

Oh wow how could I miss that. Thank you so much. I just realized that I have a problem with the Messages application occuring on any ROM I install, so it's not a problem with the leaked 4.2.1 firmware but with my device. I am going to wipe the device and cache and reinstall 4.2.1 and see how that works out! Thanks again.

Take the OTA or stay on 4.1.1 for unlock/root?

Hi all, thanks for having such a helpful support forum. I just picked up a new Note 2 and it is on FW 4.1.1. I want to unlock and root/ROM and was wondering about the recommended sequence.
Should I first use Casual to unlock, or should I take the OTA (which I believe updates the bootloader) then unlock? Is there any benefit or detriment to using one way or the other? Thanks for any help.

Over in origional dev section adam has the new root, jailbreak, recovery for the new 4.1.2 ota. So if you want stock 4.1.2 with root and all that you would be safe to take the ota on stock then run CASUAL. I beleive either way your reallywanting 4.1.2 unlocked so you can have custom roms and ive seen some of the roms being updated for the vramc3 base anyhow. So if want you could run casual now with 4.1.1 that you have (you just picked it up so im assuming its all stock) and flash a cust9m rom that has 4.1.2 already implimented. cheak out the rooting/custom rom guide and the jailbreak thread and decide. In the end both paths will lead to the same place.
Just root/unlock 4.1.1 and flash a 4.1.2 VRAMC3 rom of choice in recovery...
Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. I thought it might be six of one half dozen of the other, but after recently going through OTA he11 on the DNA I'm really leery of any updates.

Yes, it was 4.1.1 stock. I took your advice and unlocked/rooted in 4.1.1. What is the difference in having a base of vrall4 vs. vramc3? I flashed Jelly Beans and am showing 4.1.2 on vrall4. If I went to a different ROM based on vramc3,would it cause any issues? Thanks for the help and sorry for the n00b questions or if they've been answered a lot, I haven't modded Samsung in a while.

Many sites have a change log of all the changes that vramc3 brings to the Note 2. I flashed a stock vramc3 ROM that VZW pushed OTA. The only difference is that the Jelly Beans developer (beanstown106) rooted it, replaced the secure bootloader and made it flashable. So I've basically accepted the OTA but I'm still rooted and unlocked.

Here's what I did: Stock 4.1.1 VRALL4 -> Unlocked/rooted with Casual --> Flashed Jelly Beans build 16
Now in my "About Phone" setup, i have this: Android version 4.1.2; Baseband version I605VRALL4; Build number JZO54K.I605VRAMC3
The build flashed just fine and it appears I'm on VRAMC3. However the baseband remains at VRALL4, I assume because JBeans doesn't update the baseband. Is there any reason to care about the "mismatch" between the baseband and the build? Should I go through the work to update the baseband, and if so what is the best method? I've been looking around the net and have found a bunch of conflicting answers to this question, so hopefully someone can straighten things out regarding the Note 2 specifically.
Thanks for the discussion.
Baseband is the modem. Just download and flash the zip.

If you look at post #2 in the beans thread, there is a link to the new radio. Flash that and you will be completely up to date.

[Q] How to upgrade to Android 4.3

Hey there. I'm having trouble upgrading from Android 2.3.7 to 4.3. I want to use CyanogenMod 10.2 and at least according to the gapps download page you need 4.3 to use it. On the stock firmware my Wi-fi doesn't work and it won't let me update Android without being connected to it. In CM7, the WiFi works but I don't see an option to upgrade Android. Is there some way I can upgrade Android without being connected to Wifi, or some way from CM7?
Thanks.

I upgraded mine to 4.3 with supernexus 3 v.1. It's working fine. I did a clean install of 4.1.2 with ATT stock rom through Odin and then flashed Supernexus

Thanks - can you tell me where to find a 4.1.2 stock rom? Or do I have to upgrade Odin Lite to do it?
Also, as a complete and utter noob, I'm just kind of confused as to what the difference is between flashing firmware through Odin versus using Clockwork Mod to install a ROM from SD card? Thanks.

[Q] Wi-Fi does not work under any ROM

Hi all,
Been trying to figure this one out.
I had wifi working on 4.3 before, but when switched ROMs one day, suddenly the wifi won't work..at all. I've tried switching back to the ROM (Beans Build 25), went to a new ROM (Nebula), and just went to 4.4 stock debloat. Also tried flashing the Mj9 radio and nothing happens. Clearing the cache doesn't do anything either. Bluetooth works fine, no issues there.
Here's my phone stats:
GNote II - Verizon
Stock debloated 4.4 from the development forum
Baseband: I605VRUEMJ9
Kernel: 3.0.31 [email protected] #1
Build: KOT49H.N7105XXUFND3
Hardware Version: I605.07
Can anyone point me in the right direction of getting wifi going again? I'd like to use it, but since I have unlimited data, I'm not worried about going over my "data" plan. hehe.
Well mj9 is an old radio but if you dont want to cha ge thats okay but when I had this issue my only way to fix it was to odin back to stock unrooted reroot and reintall a rom idk what the difference was but it fixed everything

did you ever get this fixed. i have the same issue and tried odin back to a stock rom and still no wifi after rerooting.
Did you try pulling the battery for 30 seconds? Sometimes that is the only thing that solves it for me since reboots don't reboot the wifi hardware.

Flashing a radio has nothing to do with wifi turning on..

If you look at a stock rom that you had wifi working.. Go and grad the kern_sec_info and lkm_sec_info and drop it under system/ directory. SHould kick it back on..

4.4.4 KK Radio?

I have been out of the loop for a while. I recently updated from 4.3.1 to 4.4.4 AOKP KK... It seams to run smooth... But I noticed the baseband is still VRALJB. Should that be updated? I have has a couple instances where I've had to go into airplane mode and back out just to send a text message. Possible issue with radio?

I'm testing I605VRUFND7 radio now....
Guess I should research first...
I flashed the ND7 zip I found in one of these rom threads via TWRP and all is working great.

Thanks. I actually had to reload the phone completely with the ND7 rom until I get things figured out. The AOKP rom and ND7 modem combination for me didn't work. I had way to many failed SMS messages.... and in the middle of fighting with and ex.... I can't have that..... yes... via text.... lol
