You can bash me all I want since I did some really ****ty things in here. I used Lucky Patcher to change PowerAmp's permissions in order to remove the VERIFY_LICENSE permission. I then rebooted it and the boot took too long so I pressed the restart button. It booted faster, but now all my apps went awry. I can't open most of them. I just cleared the Dalvik Cache and the cache to see if it helps, but it didn't. I still can't open most of my apps. Some help, please?
Check /data/apps to see if the app source files are still there.

Hello,
I flashed my mini pro yesterday with latest SE firmware (.06), installed app2sd, all went fine.
Downloaded some apps but after a while the market wouldn't start downloading apps larger than 10mb, so after some forum search I read that a "dalvik-cache" folder clearance would help and tbh after I did it everything fixed.
Problem is that alongside the dalvik cache clearance after the first reboot, three icons came up into my menu, the stock trial games I uninstalled earlier (gold rush, rollercoaster, uefa app).
As I've noticed these are three .dex files in the dalvik cache folder. So I tried and
- Uninstall through applications management
- Uninstall through titanium backup
- Delete the three .dex files using root explorer
All 3 ways the apps are removed but after reboot .dex files are recreated and standing into my menu...
Is there any way to get rid of them once and for all?
boot to the xrecovery, and select wipe\format dalvik cashe.
thats all!
As I've said the problem occured after a dalvik cache wipe but I did it again like you said me and ofc nothing changed, .dex files and icons in menu still there...
Any other idea?
It's really weird how files that I delete are recreated after a reboot...
Problem solved probably,
followed the instructions from another thread that mangoman posted
"searched with root explorer and found them both under
/system/etc/customization/applications
deleted those and uninstalled from phone that seems to have worked."
and after reboot everything seems ok!
Ty all
Yeah, i found those apk's too (just 2 of them though)

So I have a Galaxy Player 4.2 USA,
I went into Lucky Patcher to try to remove google ads and disable MXPlayer from creating ad storage and such.
I changed permissions and chose to Rebuild and Install!.
After about five minutes, nothing happened, and then the program quit itself (either or was closed by RAM manager)
So MXPlayer is now uninstalled and nowhere to be found. I tried re-installing from a backup APK I had of the app, but then I get
"Insufficient Space on SD Card"
error from not only the APK but also from the Google Play Store when I try to install this app specifically. I have plenty of available space so weird I'm getting that error.
Obviously I screwed something up, and I really don't know what to do. I read to delete Market cache and possibly even dalvik-cache,
but I don't know what's safe and what to do.
If someone could please tell me what the best option to do would be, that would be great.
Also yes device is rooted, running 2.3.6 Gingerbread, I have TiBu PRO installed and Root Brower.
Thanks!!

Usually Lucky patcher itself can fix that kind of problem i think. If you run Lucky patcher, it will automatically delete unused odex (patch files) which will prevent you installing original app. Wiping dalvik cache is recommended, for I never encountered problem by wiping dalvik cache.
I have a dopo td-1010 android tablet. I rooted it using ICS Root Unlocker 1.0 and used lucky patcher to remove the liscence verification from a few games that I installed. Everything was working just fine and all of my games ran perfectly until I acidentially hit the button in lucky patcher that says "clear dalvik cache and rebooot" ...well, I hit the button on purpose but I expected to see some kind of confirmation ... "this will delete all files in the dalvik cache , press ok to continue" ...I was planning on hitting cancel.... but instead it shut right down as soon as i touched it and now I am having issues running a couple of my games. the weird part is all of the games that i needed lucky patcher for still work fine, the ones that are not working are ones that i did not have to do any patching to at all originally, they always worked just fine just by installing them. but ever since I cleared the dalvik cache they will not run. I have done a factory reset of the device and attempted to reinstall the games again, they still will not work
does anyone know what I may have cleared from the dalvik cache that would be stopping certain games from running? the dalvik cache file for the game itself seems to be created just fine when i install the game so i dont understand what else would be effecting it.
Discussion about warez and apps that supports the are prohibited in xda! And lucky patcher is one such app! So no help will be provided!
But clearing Dalvik Cache will not create any major problems!

Hello. I'm not very experienced with android and recently got a new z ultra (6802). I think it came with 4.4.2 or 4.4.3 i'm not sure, but as soon as i turned it on i was notified to update to 4.4.4. All went well and one of the first apps i installed was clean master. I hadnt tried to root the phone and i was thinking about it mostly in order to get rid of some preinstalled apps, but i found out that clean master had an option to "deactivate" them so they disappeared and all was fine. The last few weeks i loaded the phone with all sorts of useless stuff i wanted to try, and today i tried rooting it using this tool and everything worked ok. Then i did a hard reset and started setting everything up again... But this time clean master, root app delete and 2 other apps of the same type wouldnt uninstall system apps (despite having root access now). Any ideas on what to do? Is it because of the root - should i try to unroot it? Where can i find these ftfs needed? I saw some in the forum but they are for 6833..

Well, clean master is one of the app I hate most. Killing app processes frequently and clearing app caches are the bad ideas for android devices because android system always try to restart apps everytime you kill. So it greatly reduces battery life. Clearing caches can make apps to start slowly.
That's not the point, right? But just a suggestion not to use task killers and cache cleaner if you have enough RAM and storage space.
Ok now for your problem not uninstalling system apps,
-Install ES File Explorer
-Tap the upper left of the app (three striped shape)
-Tap Tools, Tap Root Explorer (not on the button "On") giving/allowing/authorize root access
-Now Tap Mount R/W and choose every partition as R/W then Tap OK
-Let's get back to explorer, Tap the upper left box labelled as "/" (it will redirect you to root of the Device)
-Go to "system" folder in explorer
-There are two folders in Kitkat, namely "app" and "priv-app"
You can now choose apps to be uninstalled that you couldn't uninstall inside these folders by removing any apps (and .odex files) by Long pressing on apps and choose multi apps at once.
For me, I don't delete apps that I wanted to uninstall but I cut them and create a new folder on sd card and paste them all in that new folder for later needs (you can navigate to internal or external storage from the upper right box of the Explorer, to create new folder, tap on the button with "+" sign at the bottom left corner of the app). Don't delete apps that you don't know well because doing so can prevent your device from booting up.
P.S. You can also install apps as system ones in that reverse way (copy, paste from external to system/app). Remember not to include space in the name of the app you wanted to install as system.
Remember to restart the devices after moving/deleting apps.
I think you now understand how to do. Good Luck, mate.
Thanks for taking the time to help! and es file explorer looks like a really nice app. i followed your instructions and moved some of the apk and matching odex to sd card. the problem is the apps didnt dissapear from the list and as soon as i was done play store was downloading new versions of the apps i moved... what i dont understand is why it worked in the first place when it was new! could it be the sony firmware it came with? since this failed, is there an app to freeze these things?

One thing I left to say that you must restart your device as soon as you finish moving/deleting system apps. After rebooting, the device system will delete app leftovers. It will solve your problem of not disappearing from the list.
Moto Ggpe XT1032, Android 4.4.4.
Gday all!
My moto G is now moto broken. I'm not sure what happened, but I think some important files are now owned by the wrong user. The steps that I took are as follows. My phone crashed and rebooted, at that point omniswitch lost system user permissions, not the first time. So I proceeded to reboot into twrp, wipe cache and davlik, and i also fixed permissions while I was at it since the Google play services have been crashing for some time. Once I rebooted, the system user permissions, well, didn't. At this point Xposed, Google play framework and omniswitch are all broken. /system/<app|bin|lib|framework> are owned by root as well as the files inside. All are RWXR-XR-X. I'm I missing anything?

What are the set permissions for your apks? They must be rw-r-r ...BTW what do you mean by broken? Are they force closing or what?

The system apps don't act like system apps. Google play reports an unknown error, omniswitch says it can't get system app permissions even though it's installed to /system/app and even after reinstalling Xposed, I cant access the framework. I'll try setting the permissions as rw-r-r

Well, I chmoded the system apps. No luck.
Try flashing ur custom Rom again. If that too doesn't help u out then u have no option but to clear everything and reflash your official firmware
Alright. Wipe and pave it is! Thanks
