I'm sure someone will give those answers but usually those things are subject to however the individual sets up their ROM.
Both are TW 4.3 so all the same mods can apply. All the same xposed. I'd say since Mr Reggie Cheeks is theming the hell out of Baja ROM its definitely worth checking out. And Surge1223 is one of the Devs... he's done so much for our phones. If I go back to Touchwiz I'm definitely trying Baja.
Not to knock Hyperdrive either cuz SBreen is also the man!!
Guess all I'm getting at here is they're both awesome. And like I said I'm sure someone can give you their opinions too.
Happy flashing!

I've tried both and agree, it depends on how you setup your phone and what you like. Both are good ROMs. However, I have to make a plug here for Eclipse. Eclipse doesn't have as many "bells and whistles" as either of the other two, but in my opinion it is the most stable and smooth ROM available right now. Anyone looking for a fast, smooth, stable ROM with great battery performance should give Eclipse a try. My hats off to all three developers/teams that have provided us with these ROMs...Great Job.

Agree, all have great Roms.
Now at this moment Baja rom is at 4.4.3 KitKat and HyperDrive is not. This makes deciding easier for now. However, on jellybean I personally preferred the clean / fast HyperDrive. Once HyperDrive has kitkat , I will def. jump back to it.
Things I noticed about Baja final rom (4.4.2l;
1.) The phone doesn't seem to shut down.
2.) I already received a message saying not enough space on device to install new apps.
3.) Start up time takes longer than HyperDrive
HyperDrive (4.3)
1.) quick boot up
2.) extreemly fast
3.) Has great added tweaks/apps I use

BajaROM is on 4.3 MK2 same as Hyperdrive. 4.4.3 KitKat hasn't even been officially announced yet although there are leaks for the nexus 5

Well nc2 was leaked last week a little bit before the official nc5 update was pushed out. He's working on rebasing HD to nc5 as we speak. I'm sure bajasur/surge have similar plans.

The best way to determine which rom that YOU will like is for YOU to test out each rom.

Correct. I've tried a few others, but I keep coming back to Hyperdrive by Sbreen94. :good:
I've wanted to try Synergy, but it seemingly doesn't want to load on my phone.
thanks for you response
you response is understood, but I was so that I can avoid a buggy rom and also avoid bricking my device.

Threads such as this are officially unwelcome for good reason, so don't be surprised when it gets locked.
It's a relatively simple matter to glance through the threads for whatever roms you're considering and reading about any major issues that users might be having.

Hyperdrive RLS4
New person, new thread, same story.
Not reading.
I have used both Hyperdrive RSL4 and CleanROM 1.5, and I am sticking with CleanROM. My reasoning is that Hyperdrive is a little too buggy for me, even though it has more tweaks and customization options.
Before you settle on one of those two you should definitely check out Gruesome and Sac's ROM. I haven't tried CleanROM but I was on the latest version of HyperDrive and Sacs blows it out of the water.

CleanROM...I hear Sac's is good too. It really depends what you are looking for. Hyperdrive has too much customization for my liking...I like stock look and feel with all the bloat gone and optimizations done. If thats what your looking for then CleanROM or Sac's is probably the way to go.
Will someone please port this from at&t to verizon and update new work? If I could I would. Some of these settings are nice to have.

Actually only some of mods work for the Verizon S4. Plus it causes some stutter at times. I was uing it for a while but the occassional performance hits were too much.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
The only thing that I have found that didn't work was the battery mods. No stutter at all. I guess a full port would be nice but I'm satisfied as is.

It doesn't really work with the me7 update. Well done things so work but you can't change the color of the toggles and a lot of other things but if you pair it up with wanam xposed you pretty much have everything again working.
Sent from my VZW Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
If you really want nottach I'd just go back to mdk. Better roms available. Nothing to get excited about in me7...it's main purpose was to break Loki. Foldermount makes apps2sd not so exciting since it can do even more. And pretty much everything works on mdk roms.

Im on Hyperdrive RLS7 and MDK, stock optimized kernel. I would just like a fully functional 'Verizon' Xposed settings port. Maybe even a mixture of 3minit and Nottach would be amazing! Honestly, if I could code I would be working on this instead of the same old AOSP or TW roms that pretty much all have the same functions. Although, Hyperdrive is the bees knees at this point in the race, I would never upgrade to me7 unless it is completely stable. But there really is no point to upgrade right now.

What's not working for you? Pretty much everything I tried worked when I used it. Did not use it as much on hyper because I used the cobalt theme, but when I used it on clean, all of the status bar mods and all of the tile settings worked. Center clock, battery mods, tile colors, button colors, global icons, everything. One thing I did was force reinstall xposed when I made changes...not sure if it made a difference. I use xthemeengine with eclipse ge and don't bother with that, though.

So you say bounty.......yet you have no bounty........that's a little misleading.......
A bounty is where you make a collection to get someone to do something
A question or request for help is when you ask someone to do something
BIG difference.

I seriously recommend Eclipse TW 2.0 by nitro. My favorite ROM by far. Imagine a ROM that looks like AOSP, even the status bar, but has all of the nifty TouchWiz features. And if you use Ktoonz's recommended setting, you also get amazing battery life. I love this ROM. Snappy too.

There are plenty of awesome ROMs available. Ultimately, you'll just have to try a few that grab your attention and see what is best for you. I bounced around between many of the TW ROMs before I finally landed on CM 10.1.3 RC2 and I'm very happy with it. See what works for you, TW vs AOSP then find the ROM that you like most.
There's a bunch of factors to consider, the first and most important is what you like, we're all different!
FWIW, I've tried BoneStock and Hyperdrive, they're both very good ROMS but I always go back to CM 10.2 because it does everything I want, it works to perfection and I have some apps that won't play nice with TouchWiz ROMs. Battery life is adequate for me.
As always, YMMV!

Just switched from AT&T. I was on CleanROM and GoldenEye which were perfect in terms of speed, stability, and battery life. HyperDrive has been fun. Battery life is quite good. I flashed without a lot of the extras in the AROMA though. Kept it as stock as possible. Going to give BoneStock a try soon. I've used KT, Greenify, & Comadose/CrossBreeder on all of the ROMs I've run on both devices.

Asking for Rom recommendation is not something we support here on XDA. Users should go through the development thread read and try out what they find that might be what they want. Here all you will get is a free for all of users listing what works for them.
Second point is that questions belong in the Q&A section not in the General section.

I picked up an mdk s4 with cm11 installed. I'd like to test the ROM waters.
I'd like to try another kit kat ROM, and a Google edition ROM. I'm most interested in fast smooth operation, and stability. Any suggestions?
Well this thread will most likely be quickly shut down because you should make that decision on your own by testing each one, but I would try Vanir and Kitkang. If you like touchwiz I would go with hyperdrive hands down.

Not sure if it's available for Verizon s4 but I have Carbon 4.4 running on my sprint s4 and it's awesome. Like stated above though xda isn't for saying what the '' best rom '' is. Just for opinions and experiences pretty much. Flash away and report back to the respective threads.
