Does this JTAG file has a main thread here in XDA with more detailed information and all the necessary files?
Because this guide tell you to get some files into an external micro SD card, which are not available here. Also, it says connect "Anyway JIG", what is this jig? it says that this jig is powered by a power supply.. so where can I get this "Anyway JIG"?
I mean, how come there is still no jtag for the I9300?
Thanks

All the JTAG does is force the phone into download mode. If you can already get into download mode, JTAG wont hep you with anything.
If you're having a problem flashing things in download mode, and you've read the return to stock guides, search for your Odin error here. If still nothing, create your own thread for support.

It was the main circuit board that went wrong and the Samsung repair fixed it it was also due to the leaked 4.2.2 firmware causing the device to get over heated now have my phone back and its not heating up at all on 4.1.2 and my sd problem was due to the over heating I had to replace the sd 4 times at a cost of £100.00 just over then had charging problems which was due to the supplied with the phone having a break in it then found out that using one of my old lg gt540 usb wire works perfectly with the usb mains adapter with no more problems at all but I am looking forward to 4.3 and some of the new features hope this post can help a few more people as it took me 3weeks to find any info on charging this phone

I'm just wondering if you can completely Hard Brick a LG G2 to a point, where there is no revive possible.
I can purchase a cheap LG G2 international version, but the seller says that he broke it during flashing a Kernel.
Can you for example revive a phone, that had a Kernel from completely different phone flashed?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Sent from my C6503 using Tapatalk 2
If it's true he only flashed a new kernel then u can restore it. If he messed with the partitions then.... No. If he used a broken usb cable and fried it....
Well ask to try the phone before u by it. Also check if it's stolen
Alright, I gathered some more information from the seller.
He tried updating TWRP, but he followed wrong instructions from some website.
He can´t enter Recovery or Download Mode on the Phone.
The Display is active, but only Backlight.
When he connects the Phone to his Computer, it shows multiple Mass Storages, but the LG Software doesn´t recognize it.
Is this a common problem, that is easy to fix, or should I rather wait for another Deal to come up.
p.s. I asked him for a receipt, and he says that he has one.

If the guy was updating through TWRP, he probably have some knowledge on the matter, and the chances that he bricked it for good is high.
When I messed up my G2 a few times, being able to enter in download mode was the hint that the phone was revivable, if him really can't enter the download mode, then it is probably a bigger problem.
But the question is, by buying this possible lemon, how much will you be saving compared to buying a brand new?
If it's showing up like that, if you have a Linux machine you may be able to use dd to flash factory images to the partitions. There is a guide to it somewhere on here. But even if you were successful in flashing those, it really depends on how badly he screwed it up. In particular I really hope he didn't damage or wipe his efs. Or at least has it backed up.
Honestly, I'd point him to the right guides and have him fix it. If he screwed up his efs, or messed the partitions up, or fried something, it's dead and not coming back. If all he did was flash a kernel in twrp and it was actually from this phone and it was just a bad download or flash or something, then you'd probably be okay, but if that were the case you'd get a secure boot error and still be able to enter download mode. Personally, I would not buy a phone that won't boot, especially if the seller isn't even sure what's wrong with it.

sounds recoverable, if there is a backlight and mass storage comes up that's good, you can dd partitions with linux
no backlight + no recognizable usb device at all = bricked
still, buy at your own risk
It is.. i just did by flashing a broken rom.. sent it to the repair center and they replaced the motherboard
Right, I asked him if the Device shows as qhsusb_bulk in device Manager, and it does.
The only thing that worries me, is that there is no Boot Logo, most of the people in the Linux Fix Thread atleast get a LG Logo and not just Backlight.
I´m really unsure what to do, I can save like 150€ by buying the broken G2, but well . . . I dont know if I can fix it.
Another problem is, that I have not a single clue on how to operate Linux/Ubuntu, and the only real fix requires either of those

Just look up a guide on how to install an Ubuntu virtual machine. You should be able to connect your G2 to that virtual if you let it capture the USB port. If you can get it cheap, buy it and try to negotiate so you might have a chance on selling it for higher later on if you can't fix it. To me though, it sounds quite fixable, I would go for it.

this doesn't really matter, when I was trying to mess with the bootloader and corrupted it a few times I've never had the LG logo, as long as it comes up as storage you can DD it - the only time its a true brick is with no backlight and no usb device
if theres no boot logo you probably need to DD the aboot in

I had that problem when updating TWRP too. You have to be careful because these recoveries are only made for specific firmware versions. I cant remember how I fixed the issue after only being able to get a backlight on and no image, but I did fix it and my phone works fine. I do think you will need the TWRP files already on the phone to fix though, so you can somehow manage to flash back. They will need to be on the phone since you can push anything via ADB

does not end here...i tried to flash optimus g pro 2 rom through twrp and same thing happened again...but was lucky this time as i could enter download mode and flashed kdz to recover...

And yes i truly believe that our device can be hard bricked like i did mine today.
I tried to compile a custom bootloader for G2 using Qualcom's sources and fraction of LK. But in doing so i left my phone in a quasi-state where it will not connect as a usb device coz it does not pass the bootloader (Although bootloader is working as it should). .
So the only two option remain here for me is
1. To send phone back to LG service center where they'll do idk what.
2. To use JTAG or short the ic (Wonder if it could be done ) i.e manually open the phone and boot into the primary bootloader(Qcom legacy BL).
See that's how you can hard brick ur phone the right way

But it did work coz our bootloader enfoces the signature check not in the sbl.(Our Primary boot loader)
i'm sure of it because it tries to go to download option but freezes at initial stage.
had it been the case my device would've been detected as qucom_bulk device or so..

You my dear friend are a victim of a curroupt bootloader seqence(NOT THE CoRRUPT BOOTLOADER) i.e
Your phone would start something like
1- EFI initialization ok
2-Primary Boot Load -ok
3-Vendor Boot Load -ok
4- Error unable to find proper boot sequence- system halted
So ur best options are the one that i've stated just above this thread.
My case. I root and flash custom recovery then apply OTA = medium brick. Download mode was not functioning, only recovery. To make matter worse, I flashed KK stock rom through ADB in recovery = super brick. Then I went to LG service center with poker face asked for reparation. They asked (confirm) whether your phone is rooted or not (they had already know though) and I just said like It is my sister's phone. Then they they open the phone and maybe directly format the sd card with some stuff. My phone is restored again afterward. In my opinion, software modification can always be repaired unless you fry your phone through overclock or overvolt.

Hello I need a way to restore the phones partitions. Like boot and recovery and u-boot and x-boot and system and cache and data and all the others. The phone has no known partitions. And because of that I am unable to flash my phone back to a working state. I have tried in fastboot to run OEM format. But it failed. If there is something I can flash in a .bin or a kdz I can flash it in software mode. Or if there is a way to do it in fastboot mode I can also do that. But those are the only two things my phone can do right now. And worse is each time I enter either fastboot or software download mode it will only stay on and active for about 2 minutes until the phone shuts off. And I have to start over completely. So I can flash a whole kdz or bin as they take too long. Please help me?!

Are you getting an error of "Remote Partition Doesn't Exist"? If so that usually means you have a hardware problem.

Yeah the lelus method is for fastboot... Did you install the drivers on your PC twice? You have to run the lelus script 2 times to get it to actually work.

Im pretty sure it's a hardware problem but, Exactly... It's definitely worth trying to fix it.
I got a remote partition does not exist on every count. For the erase commands and for the write commands. So does that mean im **** out of luck? I keep thinking since i can get into fastboot and software mode i should be able to do something but yet nothing is working.
Is there any way to use the omap4boot to send the infor to the phone? Since i cant send the phone into fastboot or software mode without omap4boot it seems to show that that program gets the phone into a more working state maybe it can also do the flashing? or a script to keep the phone in the software mode for longer than 2 minutes?

Unfortunately I think the EMMC is fried...
If you can figure out how to adapt this method and get it to work on the L9 this is probably your only hope -
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/71825-hard-brick-to-hell-and-back-guide-to-recovery/
Other than that you could try taking it to a service center and having them try an OctopusBox to repair it or go where you bought it and try to make a warrant claim.
I know it sucks but I think these are your only real options. I'm not sure about were you live but I can buy a brand new L9 right now for $30 from MetroPCS.
Ouch. And it does look promising the link you provided just not sure if I will be able to make it work for my phone model. But I'm going to look into it. Looks like only one thing might be device specific that I don't already have and may have to make or find someone to make for my phone.

I have exact same problem. Only have to fix partitions is by Omap flasher. But we need to port the memory configuration for it. People have done it for galaxy Nexus (Tuna ) and galaxy tab. Omap flasher is the last hope in this phone.
Or
Hardware way would be flashing emmc using Z3X easy JTAG box.

I still have the phone and it's still in the same condition. I was never able to get it working I gave up probably the next days as I had spent like a week on it already I had decided it's probably just a brick. I have no idea where or what I was doing with it at that time tho. I know I was only very slightly ever able to see that it wasn't completely bricked like some program was able to see it when connected to the PC. But no lights on the device no nothing. So I have no clue how to fix it.

Hey guys, big n00b here. I'll admit, I made a very fatal and somewhat idiotic mistake... ended up flashing a bad rom (illusions) to my phone. Unfortunately, after rebooting to test it, the phone completely stopped booting. Can't get into download or recovery mode. Does NOTHING when power is held. I have tried the microSD fix.. went out and got a 16GB card... no luck. This is why I think the bootloader is screwed up. I tried making a USB jig and that didn't work either... I have one coming in the mail, but that's going to be too long to wait.
My computer (running ubuntu by the way) detects the phone:
"Bus 003 Device 069: ID 05c6:9008 Qualcomm, Inc. Gobi Wireless Modem (QDL mode)"
from lsusb.
Guys, PLEASE tell me that we can fix it ... without JTAG or replacing the EMMC... both of those are a bit too much. Would rather just say I spilled pop on it...
I have nearly lost all hope because NOTHING has worked. It isn't showing signs of life... Is there hope?
Is it possible that I didn't try the microSD fix enough times? I mean, I read that you may have to do the write a few times... which I did... :/

There is a guy over on android forums named shappypenguin, he may or may not be on XDA, but he has done magic on supposedly hard bricked phones. The fact that your computer recognizes the phone is a good thing. Does the phone go into download mode? If so, try downloading ODIN. It's literally a phone saver.

No lol, I'm not sure. I have a 16 GB Class 10 card and my phone is 16GB. I have tried multiple images and multiple different guides. I THINK the phone is trying to use the card... but not working for some reason.
Like I said, I have tried a lot of images... but I have no reliable way to confirm if they are the EXACT one I need.
One of the ones It tried was called debrick_sph_l710... but it doesn't seem to work.
To clarify, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3 on the Sprint network. Model SPH-L710.

Oh ok, I only know it should work on i9300. Not sure if it does for your model, you might get better help asking in your device specific forum.

The rooted (and working) version was 4.4.2. Yes, this happened due to a incorrect version for the phone being flashed.
Ah, that explains why (I meant that it didn't work because you weren't using the correct version of your debrick image), click on the link below, write the debrick file to your SD card, and it should work.

I have a Samsung GT-1630 device that went into brick mode I tried to fix it in ZX3 and could not, a friend told me that only with JTAG can it be fixed. I want to know which device is right for it I want at minimum cost
As well as where to find detailed instruction on how to work with it
Thank you

I do not know exactly what I did,
Only I can say that I used this app and did a boot
And since then the mobile phone has not entered download mode
Experts have told me that JTAG should be used for the motherboard
if it cant get to download mode, then it either needs jtag repair or the mobo is fried. id leave it plugged in charging for several hours and try the button combos until your fingers hurt LOL it could also be a corrupted bootloader. If thats the case, it might be fixable if youre able to get the engineering bootloader for your device and mount the img on a sd card equivalent in size (and no, you cant use one thats bigger unless partitioned correctly and even then..... just use the exact same size as the internal). Once the img is mounted, pop it in the phone and what the phone does is finds that the on board bootloader is bad then moves to the other storages to see if theres another that isnt corrupted. But it has to be the engineering bootloader, the normal one wont work. I did this on an S3 back in the day. Everyone told me it was hard bricked. It still works to this day, and i know that because its my nephews phone now LOL
Thanks for the comment !!
Where to get a boot file for GT-6310
Do you mean that the SD will be the size of all the internal memory of the phone, or that the file will be the same size as the original?
What is the extension of the boot file I should look for

You say you accomplished this on your s3, was wondering if you could share how you found the engineering bootloader for your s3. I would like to try this on my s2 epic 4g touch as i have data I'd like to recover on it
