IPhone uses BTLE. Currently the ts does not have that. And it will not until the ts is updated to android 4.3 or higher. That may or may not happen

as of right now, BT teethering does not work on any ts with any phone. Omate is suppose to release a firmware update next week to solve the BT issue

This is not true. My Truesmart can tether to phones, it is just very unstable; you should however be able to pair to a phone. Now whether an iPhone 5 supports tethering to the Truesmart is different.
It doesn't work, the best you can do is tether using iphone as a wifi hotspot and set the output on MyWi to about 30%. Will kill the iphone in about 8 hours though.

I should have explained what I meant. Yes it can teether using BT. But the BT tethering to your phone is unstable and after 2-10 mins I loses connection. This is a firmware issue. Omate is releasing a firmware update in a week or so to solve this issue. They are updating OUI 2 to OUI 2.1. This will add a sports mode as well as a companion mode to your ts
The update still won't work with the iphone, at least not until the ts software is upgraded to android 4.3. Or higher
Your right, until its updated to at least 4.3 you r Sol. On top of that omate is focusing on there next ts. Ts 2. So I wwould expect the same support we have now in the future for the ts 1. When I asked about support I was told not to bother with the ts 1 because all resource as are being put on the development of there next ts. This comes as no surprise

Let me start from the beginning. I have a Galaxy S III, Sprint, which as I know for a fact supports the low energy bluetooth (BT 4.0). I recently installed the [ROM][AOSP][Linaro]CarbonRom Nightlies/Releases [d2spr] but the stable release ( or most stable). After I installed the rom the BT 4.0 won't work anymore. I know the hardware supports because I used it before. I've been using it with the FITBIT Flex fitness bracelet. My question is because the hardware supports it, is there anything I can flash that will allow the rom to utilize the BT 4.0 software, with this ROM in particular?
Any help would be much appreciated! Otherwise I'll keep syncing it with my PC when I get home everyday.
Thanks in advance,
Your fellow mobile enthusiast.
Hello All,
I've heard from many sources (also official) about BLE availability on Android 4.3 (from software side) for Samsung S3, so just after last update of my phone I've just bought Sigma R1 HRM but... it doesn't work on ANY (I've tried five different) 4.3 ROM. Only CM ROM (4.3.1) could pair properly with this HRM. So this functionality was included in 4.3 or not? Maybe someone could help to pair BLE accessories with SGS3 4.3?
What's more interesting. my girlfriend's Xperia V could pair with Sigma on Android 4.1.2!!! I don't know how it is possible if it is one of key feature 4.3?
P.S. Just for info: Endomondo on Android cannot handle BT Smart, it is not connected with android version.
Hi,
is there any ROM for the HOX+ that supports Bluetooth LE. I was counting on CM11 but it seems that this is discontinued and will never make it to a stable version. I want to connect a heart rate monitor and I guess this definitley needs BT LE eventhough some supplier saying it will work with HOX+. Any suggestins, experience with this is more than welcome.

You can use BLE checker app but ViperX+ does not support BLE, it should be 4.3 or 4.4 based ROM.

Anybody successfully using a wearable device with the AM2?
I'd love to get the Sony SmartWatch 3 because you can use it as a gps/run tracker and music player without needing the phone nearby. However, I don't think it's compatible with the AM2.

Wearables work fine. I have the lg g watch. But because the phone isn't getting updated anymore with Google's 18 month rule the Android wear app won't get updates after April 2015 so I'm guessing it would still work but you wouldn't get the features from newer Android wear releases.

O dont. Think app updates and os updates are cut with the same knife..
I think that as long it's Bt 4.0. And android 4.3 + can be compatible ..
More like I hope hahah

Just got ham2. Only problem I have with the g watch is music controls don't work. Guessing its a jelly bean thing. Got an app for the watch that works.
Using and loving my pebble watch in conjunction with my HAM2. Two beasts when it comes to battery life. The pebble has enhanced my experience with this phone.

To the point...
My vehicle recently connected perfectly to SE Xperia Mini Pro (wifi tethering). Apparently it had 2.3.3 gingerbread firmware. Till now it has been like 5 years and phones have improved. For some reason my car's navigation MZD Connect doesn't get it and communication with a local dealer ended with: "It is not possible in Finland", which is certainly bullcrap.
My Moto G is rooted, so is there any way to change wifi tethering configuration files to make Moto G Lollipop act like GB.
Looking forward to replies...
Best regards,
Mario
Any thoughts?
The development of MZD Connect is so slow and apparently they do not even have a bug tracker. I don't think they will fix it this year or next. I wish I could do something myself to improve my situation.
