I am not send spam. I just want to share something good with somebody who has the same demands. Maybe I used an inappropriate expression that is easy to be understood .I will change next time. But the product I mentioned before is really nice.

You could at least post this in Android general or something. That may actually help people who want to develop but are on a budget. But definitely not here.

Thread closed. Please do not use xda to try and sell a product or a device.

does anyone has "caller2picture" ?
I have the trial version and I want to buy the full one, but on "pocket gear" I've seen a post of a user that bought the full version but he's still unable to assign more then 3 pictures.
Can I thrust them and buy the software or do I have to forget it ?

Oh, please, give me a break... We're doing our best to create a fun experience for everyone. And besides, what hidden about the policy of removing warez trading?
http://xda-developers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=859
This is not acceptable at all.... Xchange man those ppl are receiving us as their guests and why pay them back by insulting them??? 2 days ago this site or this forum has reached its 500 user and all of them are considering themselves as one family sharing and learning and teaching. Please reconsider your attitude as we all are here friends and one happy XDA, o2, QTEK, SX56 (forgot any?) Family...
Thanks for the ppl behind this site thanks for the members in this great forum God bless us all.

ARZ
I have to agree with XDA developer Peter Poelman
come on xcahnge - $14 is not a lot for software... that is damned useful...
and entertaining, and intuitive. Instead of moaning why not just develop your own version of the software and distribute it as freeware?
I mean if it cost several hundred pounds and you used it three times you'd have cause to grumble.
Dont forget that programmers have mouths to feed - and being a software developer is as worthy a job as a train driver or electrician.
(Apart from Solicitors & Estate Agents)
I am none of these by the way, but I know plenty of programmers!
Dont forget that we need people like this to develop apps for our phones to make them "far more functional" than our friends nokias, or motorolas are.
Hold on a minute you dont like paying 14 dollars, but you have several hundred dollars worth of mobile phone!!!!
Just try it out. add three pics for your best friends and if you like it then just BUY NOW!

haha,
no thanks, I already got the serial no... caller2phone. I guess our opinion are different.
xda site
hi all
this is a great site and i normally log in daily i used to have a nokia communicator but the xda is a lot more usefull and the only real website for the xda is my-symbian.com and that started a bit like this site but turned very quickly into a forum for selling software and not really intrested in the people or the product it would be s ahame for this to happen here there is loads of free software out there try downloading bear share and you will get loads of games. anyway keep up the good work on the website.
regards kevin beecher
So... what about sharing the serial!!!!
caller2picture is pants..
I only wanted to be able to select different ringtones... caller2picture adds its bloatware crap and removes another useful feature <sending an sms from the contacts> (or has nobody noticed?)
nobody has made a program with a little box that lets you do the same thing?
hmmmm

It is useless, because it is generated depending on number on your Register screen. And that one is probably calculated from your name/or other unique parameters of you xda.
Hi!
Anyone got similar problem. The pictures aren't showing themselves regularly and consistently. They pop up many times less than they don't. Suggest anything, guys? :?
What is frustrating is I bought the full version, but it will not work with WM2003PE.

The program does work with my ppc2003. Anyway, you have to remove your sd card before the installation since the system will automatically install the software to sd card even you choose to install on the default location. The Picture2Caller does have some bugs when installed to ppc 2003. That is the software fails to work with all contacts. Anyway, if you feel ok with this, go ahead. Cheers
I want to agree with Arzeb,
This is an AWESOME site, complete with smart helpful people. Please keep up the excellent stuff that gets done here.
xchange: please chill.
THANX to the rest of you.
Hal.
Tried installing it again withot the SD card, still does not work. What happens is, it does not retrieve the contact's name, and phone numbers.

TG01 for a Developer

Edit: Closed per OP request. ~TheRomMistress
Hi,
I purchased the TG01 in February and I have lost my temper with it because it's so horrible, but I know there are a few developers out there looking for a real device to work with, so I thought I'd sell it.
I'm looking for anything over £65, It's in good working order with a few scratches on the screen and it's generally in OK condition, but the speaker is quite quiet.
If you're interested please reply to this thread.
Thanks
PS, I will consider swapping phones if you want

Hold that thought, we might be able to buy it from you for the Android project if we can raise the money. £65 shouldnt be too difficult to raise!
Please dont sell it before speaking to us about it.
I'm in Blackburn Lancashire, whereabouts are you?

.. is there an Android TG-01 developer fund - I'll contribute if you're able to buy a cheap TG-01
i'll contribuite too..
I have posted in the Android discussion thread and Alex has kindly offered to hold the donations:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=672234&page=25
decide between yourselves if you will and start a donations thread and get the money rolling. Someone needs to pm tjcooper17 to ask him if hes still got it and whether he's happy to wait until the money is raised.
I'll ask dzo (or any developer users recommend with a track record for Android development) once we have confirmation that the purchase is going to happen.
Best of luck
tjcooper17 can you post some pics of the device since you say it has some scratches and also what comes with the phone, is the box, charger and everything with it and lastly is it sim locked to orange or unlocked?
Hi guys,
I'm in Shaftesbury, Dorset. The device is locked to Orange, I'll post some pictures in just a minute and I'll send it with everything I got in the box:
Phone
Charger
Manuals
USB to PC Lead
CD Drivers
I should be able to get you the device including delivery for £70 if that's OK.
Pictures in just a second
I'm having real trouble uploading the pictures at the moment, is there an email address i can send them to?

Well, I believe him anyways
@tjcooper17:
What about making the pictures smaller?
Than you could place them here at xda as an attachment on your next post.
Sorry to butt in on this thread! We have a donation thread for TG01 Android development :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=804051
.. and a direct link to PayPal :
https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/w...63663d3faee8dc60d77e6184470d51976060a4ab6ee74
.. so far, £15 has been donated
Regards,
Alex.
OK I've compressed them quite a bit, didn't realise how big they were.
thanks for the pics.
The thread for the donations has been closed down by mods.. I'll pm the mod on how we can do this without collecting money on here. The only other way I can think of is if enough people pledge to put money towards the phone, then we donate to you directly.
Leave it with me.

It appears that the word donations is contentious.
So if we want to do this, the best thing is everyone PLEDGES what they are willing to put towards a device on this thread, once we have enough money and a developer who wants to help, we can pay tjcooper17 someway and get him to send the device to the developer.
Sorry about the mess, I guess these things are there to protect xda users from fraudulent transactions so its probably wise not to ignore them.
On that note, I will say if anyone has any suggestions how this can be done without hickups, please feel free to put your ideas forwards.
Lastly, Endrix is the lead developer here, I have been asked why I am not accepting the device myself, it is simply because I do not possess the reverse engineering skills to take this project forward and neither do I have the time to learn to do so.
I am quite happy to help out where I can and look forward to purchasing a tg01 if android is successfully ported to it which I look forward to being a part of.

[Q] TG01 - what do you do with it?

After seeing a few new threads start up recently, it was interesting to see how different users have explored the boundaries of TG01 and got the maximum out of it!
I was surprised at certain things this mighty beast can do! I am opening this thread with a hope that we will get more input from TG01 users in terms of what can be done using TG01! May be other users like me will benefit now and in future by knowing that there is no limit to surprises TG01 brings
So question is simple with simplers answers:
What do you use your TG01 MOSTLY for? Please vote for the options and if I have missed out something as 'the most common' act on TG01, then feel free to add comments!
Please can I also request anyone who does something different with their TG01, to post links so that other users could try it and share their views too?
PS: Keep this thread fun but full of information!
Please ADD this to your signature and brag how cool your phone is!!
TELL THE WORLD WHAT DO YOU DO WITH YOUR TG01 please VOTE!
*bump*
37 views and only 1 vote!! come on guys, share how good your phone is!
i have already voted nice thread!
Reading, of course!
One of the thing that every day I do with my TG1 is...reading. I've already read a lot of e-books anywhere..if I'm waiting, on a cue...my book is ready to keep on reading from the last paragraph that I read the previous time.
I had installed an app called µBook, but few days ago I discovered Freda, an free EPUB (and other formats) reader that suits perfectly in our TG01
You can download the last version from http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-freda.html
Good thread!

I love e-books myself, but I couldn't read them on TG01 as I always thought you end up buying and spending lots (I tried B&N) - I am downloading the one you suggesting, it might make me the most happiest and complete TG01 owner ever!
If you know any more TG01 owners, please ask them to come forward and share more so that we get more out of this beast
Thanks

I was a bit unsure if mods would like it !
Mate, if you know more TG01 users on the forum, please ask them to vote and share so that we get more out of TG01 from everyone's experience. This might even reveal what sort of tasks are best performed on TG01
It's really good to see from the votes so far that, Browsing on TG01 is what is done mostly!
Considering the complaints of battery drain and crappy IE that comes with TG01, I am sure most of us have ended up using faster browsers and better batteries!
Anything worth sharing to have better browsing experience on TG01 guys?
I do something more than this! (please post a comment and share)
Yes it help me to progress with ROM dev and in english ... of course !!!
Good thread man !

Thanks a lot
It is getting more useful and informative as we get more votes!
Already we know that it works as a great device to browse! So many people use it for browsing..
and many votes for 'I use it for something else' too, but only 2 users mentioned some useful info for us. I wish we will have more ideas for tg01
Most of us still use it for browsing - inspite of claims of bad battery life!
I think it's because of amazing speeds we get with Snapdragon?!
I presume we use Opera/SkyFire/IE - any other browsers you think can work better on TG01?
Hello Everyone!
I am writing this post in most of my threads so that everyone is well informed. I am not sure if you will get annoyed to see the identical post in more than 1 thread. The only reason being, I want everyone who visits particular thread to know that I am going to be a rare visitor on TG01 forums from now.
As you might all know, I went on 3 weeks holiday (it was AWESOME!) only to find out that Orange had sent me a letter confirming that I should F***O** and they won’t be interested in either paying repair costs/ offering replacement handset/ offer any sort of money back for the malfunctioning TG01(s) (6 replacements to be precise) they have supplied me since January 2011! Since last 5 months, I wasn’t able to develop or help with roms/themes as I din’t trust my phone’s behaviour (it froze randomly making hard to know if it’s rom/theme doing it or actual phone). However, I have tried my best to help out in forum and also with beta tests.
My TG01 is now officially in coma. It doesn’t last more than 5 minutes without restarting. This has annoyed the piss out of me and I was helpless financially. However, I have managed to sell this TG01 for spare along with few old WinMos and Symbian phone to get me enough money to buy a brand new San Francisco (the cheapest option out there for smart phone at the moment!)
So, to keep the story short, all these threads, might not see any help at all from me in terms of development. I will still be willing to help anyone and everyone (whatever can be done without a TG01). If anyone would want to use any of my work so far – please feel free to PM me and I will happily share ROMs/THEMES/files etc that will help you to carry on the projects further.
It’s been absolute charm being a part of this forum and will miss it! I will be around in San Francisco forums anyway, so drop me a PM if you ever think of me
Long live TG01 and WinMos
(already saving up to buy new WP7!)
EVC4 Development System
I use the TG01 as a software development platform for a GPS application - see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117192
I'm still using EVC4 as it's simple, effective and free. More modern tools are too complicated for my simple mind, and seem to produce enormous slow applications.
I had to produce my own SDK using Platform Builder, but now find this works on most ARM devices; although it grizzles a bit, it gives full source-level debugging. It does mean I have to use XP for development - has anyone got EVC4 to run under Vista or Win7?
I like the TG01 as it's fast and has a big screen. I think it's virtually unusable as a mobile phone.

G Tablet Desktops..

So i just got my gTab and have been working away to make it comftorable and easy to use (and not not modded yet) and have everything for the most part working. but now that i have all this screen realestate i am wondering what to put where!!! i have the widgets and frequently used stuff on the main desktop but now i have 4 other screens with preety much nothing on them.. so i need ideas. I am a tech minded kind of guy and plan on using it for research, ereading, trip planning (for motorcycle trips of course), gaming, basicly a desktop replacement. so i need ideas!! so this thread is for posting your desktops (widgets, programs, and whatnot). As soon as i figure out how ill get mine posted .... the tablet desktop is MUCH bigger than the android phone.. so wow me please!!!!

Help the Lapdock MOD!

A majority of the Moto consumers have bought the lapdock with high hopes only to have them crushed by moto. Running Ubuntu alongside android is highly power consuming. And we've had multiple horrible experiences because of that fact.
So I've decided to turn the lapdock into a fully functional pc, no webtop crap, no phones required. It will become an ultra thin notebook/netbook.
The lapdock will be embeded with the MK802 or Zero A9. These are mini android units that are full PCs. This will make the lapdock into a razr thin netbook with 1ghz proccessing power, wifi, and more!

You can find all the info, updates, instructions in the official thread:
Click here to go to thread in the Atrix section...
When I complete the project I will release all the instructions, blueprints, whatever, photos, and a video.
The Important Stuff:
Atm I am low on funds to complete this, so heres where you can come in! If you have any devices you don't use/want/etc that work/are bricked/have problems/etc please donate them. I know people who will buy bricked devices and some others who buy brokens ones for parts, so everything counts! If you do donate, I can add your name to the credits, and find some way to show appretiation!
What I have/What I need:
So far I have a lapdock ready for modding... I sketched out most of the plans and tried to write up on the wiring...
I need to buy the zero unit and some wiring so yea...
For the donators:
If there are enough funds to the point where I can buy multiple of each item, then I will make as many of these ultra lapdocks as I can and send them to the highest donators!
If you can donate then hit me with a pm and I will send you my address... If you can donate straight out cash then click the donate button under my name, thanks!
Mini Contest:
Name the finished project... I'm really bad at naming things so I will leave this up to you! Make a really good name for it and post it here, I will look through them and pick the best one. The winning name will be used!
Rules:
Name must have the word "dock" and in it...
No stealing other names...

Who I am:
I may not be a developer but some people on the Atrix forums do know me for being a contributer, making themes for ROMs, the original porting of lewa, some automated fastboot scripts, etc... And I recently got a sensation (it will come in soon) so I will start contributing there aswell... This is my last contribution to the Atrix forum and I intend to finish it proudly... I hope that you guys would atleast consider this because it could really help many users that have webtops...
