[Q] Unlocking for another carrier error - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have a Verizon galaxy note 2 and I ordered a t mobile sim card so that I can unlock it and use it possibly on another carrier. When I put the Sim in and dial *#197328640# I get ussd coding than an error comes up of invalid mmi code. I try again and the same things happen. I have my phone rooted but have stock Rom on it and android 4.1.1. Any help would be appreciated. I have attached a screenshot of my baseboard versions and such.

[Q] S3 I9300 (International) NETWORK UNLOCK PROBLEM

Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 locked to T-Mobile on Android 4.3 (baseband: I9300XXUGNA8) meaning it has changed the EFS parition to v2. The phone has been rooted as well. Is there any solution to remove the SIM lock? I have tried reflashing with older versions but the systems wouldn't boot up. I read that it can brick my phone completely. I tried using Vooodo unlocker and GalaxSim but error comes up, undefined. I tried EVERY SINGLE METHOD by using the codes: *#7465625# or *#197328640# but I either get Not registered on network message or some other error. In case of #0011# I can't pass the step 4 (when you type in 1 and the service should appear). The IMEI is fine, everything is fine as long as I'm on T-Mobile sim card (the signal works perfectly). I put any other foreign SIM and it doesn't ask me for the unlock code. Do you know what's the reason? I have bought an unlock code but I can't even use because any other method wouldn't work. Is there anything at all I could do? I'd really appreciate your help.

Try to flash an unbranded version, like this here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=28378
And than try it again with your code.

This particular firmware fails to flash it through Odin. I assume it's designated for GT-I9305, not I9300 ... I have tried the unbranded versions for my model anyway and I usually end up in the bootloop. Any other solution? Thx
Factory reset after Odin flash.

[Q] Having trouble unlocking my Gal Ace, any alternative methods?

Could use some help unlocking my Galaxy Ace S5830.
I was following instructions from this thread.
It's locked to Virgin Media, I don't have my original SIM but I have my mothers which was a Virgin SIM and I put that in and was able to get mobile data and make calls.
The two codes I could find in bml5.img were:
15362914
80460902
Not knowing which was correct, I tried both multiple times.
It says something like "USSD Code running" but then says "Connection problem or invalid MMI code”
I get the same “Connection problem or invalid MMI code” even when I dial *#7465625# to check if the phone is network locked.
#7465625*638*80460902#
#7465625*638*15362914#
So I was trying these, I read that adding , at the end can help, it didn't.
Tried restarting the phone a few times, checking service providers and it shows a list of about 4 but all but the one the SIM is for say (restricted), so it didn't work.
Tried a new SIM in it, still asking for unlock code when phone starts up.
Any ideas?
I went and paid for an 'unlocker app', and all the app did was read the .img file and give me the two damn codes I already found myself and told me to put them in the unlock screen when I turn the phone on, but having already tried that multiple times it didn't work.
Is there any other way I can unlock it now that I have the codes?
Thanks in advance.
Does your phone need to be on a stock/non rooted ROM for the unlocking to work?

Ascend Mate 2 on Lollipop won't sim unlock

Is there a way to get the prompt to input the sim unlock code on 5.1 Lollipop? Originally my phone came from Wind but I've updated it to Lollipop. Everytime I insert an unsupported sim, I get no signal but it does not give me the option to input the unlock code. My wife has the same phone but has the original Wind ROM and she is getting the prompt for the unlock code when she inserts an unsupported sim. Any thoughts?

Ivalid sim card

I got a boost mobile samsung galaxy J3 emerge J327P rooted with trwp and supersu. I got the unlock code from boost 832016. I use a app called Shortcut master lite to find Network lock screen because 7465625*638 in dail pad won,t work. I enter the code without a sim card in phone. Its says unlock seccessful. Went to At&t store to switch carries they got my IMEI number and got a sim card from them. Put it in and says invalid sim card. Boost is CDMA and At&t is GSM. Will this work.

Problems finding ORG S3 i9305 lte FIRMWARE.

Hi
I uploaded lineageOS and that was OK but when the user wanted to change SIM to another company she found that it was sim locked. She got the codes from EE but they don't work, properly because it is lineage now. So now I am searching for a firmware for a I9305XXUFOA1, no trace of it on the internet, what can I do ?. I found a I9305XXUFOC1 will that do the trick. I am guessing that if I put the ORG firmware back it will bee possible to unlock the phone.
Hope there is anyone out there who can help. Thanks.
Yes, you need to be running a stock dialler in order to enter the unlock code.
The OC1 should work.
Agreed, oc1 will do fine so long as it matches the carrier code. The last 3 digits are version numbers.
The dialer isn't what is needed to sim unlock the phone. You put the sim card in from another carrier and you'll get a prompt for a network code. When selecting the field you get a number pad to enter the code.
The carrier isn't contacted at any point as the code is the decryption key for the simlock in nvdata on the 'nand'.
Not chastising you, just passing on knowledge..
Ps, only stock firmware can interface with the unlock procedures of any device.

A stock dialler is required to enter a network unlock code for a Samsung phone. A Samsung phone running a custom non-TW based ROM cannot be used to enter and validate a network unlock code in my experience.
Thanks a lot for your answers, I will go for the I9305XXUFOC1.
