Is there a way to get the prompt to input the sim unlock code on 5.1 Lollipop? Originally my phone came from Wind but I've updated it to Lollipop. Everytime I insert an unsupported sim, I get no signal but it does not give me the option to input the unlock code. My wife has the same phone but has the original Wind ROM and she is getting the prompt for the unlock code when she inserts an unsupported sim. Any thoughts?

I have a Verizon galaxy note 2 and I ordered a t mobile sim card so that I can unlock it and use it possibly on another carrier. When I put the Sim in and dial *#197328640# I get ussd coding than an error comes up of invalid mmi code. I try again and the same things happen. I have my phone rooted but have stock Rom on it and android 4.1.1. Any help would be appreciated. I have attached a screenshot of my baseboard versions and such.
Got the unlock codes for an LG L70 locked to Metro PCS.
They gave me the following but I have no clue which ones to input into the phone.
I've read that you have to enter 2945#*323# in the dialer and then choose "service provider lock" but when I get here I don't know which of the following codes to input. I attempted to use the SIM unlock one but nothing.
Thanks!
My codes:
SIM_UNLOCK=3490056879823597 (tried this one already no luck)
NSLCKUNLOCK=1755325312178850
CLCKUNLOCK=7459115196074969
PCKUNLOCK=2424199315596625
ESLCKUNLOCK= SP_LOCK=1346363008093251
Note I tried the SIM unlock code without a SIM in the phone. Could this be the issue? Does it have to be a Metro SIM or a blocked SIM?

I use a app called Shortcut master lite to find Network lock screen because 7465625*638 in dail pad won,t work. I enter the code without a sim card in phone. Its says unlock seccessful. Went to At&t store to switch carries they got my IMEI number and got a sim card from them. Put it in and says invalid sim card. Boost is CDMA and At&t is GSM. Will this work.
Hi all,
I have a Huawei Mate 2 from Freedom (Wind) Mobile. I have updated it to Lollipop 5.1 by unlocking the bootloader. In fact I made a guide for it a while back.

Recently in Canada the cellular service providers are forced by law to give us an unlock code for free. After unlocking the phone would work with any service provider. This phone has a pretty big battery and would be ideal for a travel or backup phone.
I successfully got an unlock code from Freedom (which was pretty easy). I then put in sim cards from another provider (Koodo, Fido, etc). However the screen for me to enter the unlock code never popped up. It just say "no service".
I tried to manually set it up, by clicking the notification. "No Service: Selected network (Telus 3G) unavailable". However it won't register. Neither did the unlock code entering screen ever pop up.
And under data settings it say no SIM card. However the phone works perfectly when I insert my Freedom SIM card. But when a foreign SIM card was inserted it just say no SIM.
My question is has anyone been able to unlock this phone under Lollipop 5.1? How did you get to the "Enter Unlock Code" screen?
I also wonder if anyone has any luck unlocking with the original Android 4.3. If someone did, maybe I should flash the phone back to its original OS.
Thanks in advance!
I flashed my Note 8 when I first got it (before I had the unlock code). I flashed it to XAA/U1. Well, I got the unlock code a few days later and when I popped in a foreign SIM it simply says "Invalid SIM card inserted" "This SIM card is not supported" with no prompt to enter SIM unlock. At the time this was not a huge deal I kept the unlock code and have been using it since. Today I swapped carriers. Now it matters.
Phone is showing model # SM-N950U1.
Bootloader shows Carrier: ATT
Baseband is BRA5
I flashed N950USQU3CRC2_N950UOYN3CRC2_ATT
It still doesn't have the carrier bloat or prompt me to enter a SIM unlock.
Thoughts?

Switching carrier guide to change CSC code to ATT...then flash ATT firmware
Let me give everyone a heads up who may be an idiot and do this.
I had to downgrade from Oreo to BRA8. I had to do the carrier switch and change the CSC file. I then had to flash all AT&T bloat. Then pop my SIM in. Use my unlock code. Then reflash to XAA.
Thanks BlueFox helped me through the whole ordeal. What an effin nightmare. All this was in the name of gaming the carriers for "free" phones.
I am still trying to get my XAA flash going, but this was a solid 5 hours of effort on my part. Shame I will be updating to the S9+ within the next month or so.
