Hey guys! I am a producer / musician and was looking for a way to include my work into this awesome phone. Gratefully, Xboarder56 is allowing my to make some customized and purely original notification sounds for his ROM; BulletProof.
I will take request, but understand that I don't want to bloat the ROM with audio files, so with every release of his ROM, I'm only going to allow for 10 of these at a time.
So far I've made 5 sounds in F Major, just a starting pack!
Check them out HERE!
Also here is a custom ringtone that fits the name appropriately! ---> HERE!
Give thanks to Xboarder56 for allowing the community to make a one truley awesome ROM to rule them all!
thanks man

One ringtone I have always loved is the old school Nokia ringtone called Trio. If its something you cannot find via Google I'll be happy to make a recording and post it up so you can get a sense of it. Maybe tweak it to your own interpretation would be awesome. If it can't make it into the ROM maybe make it available separately in this thread? I figure it's worth asking. Thanks!

Sweet man! I'll see if I can find a midi file! What do you want it to sound like? Watery, spacey, transformer-like?
Totally up to you how you want to tweak it. I think anything is going to be an improvement over the original version that was released on Nokia phones with very limited sound processing. I trust ya'.

If you can find it I can tweak it!

I read on twitter that AOKP for the Touchpad may be realeased this weekend. I can't wait...right now I'm rocking the [ROM][DEV][BrickedRom][Jan.28]-[CM9Kang]-[v3]-[KSM]-[Touchscreen-fixes]. It is running fast and stable, but i'm really interested in the AOKP rom control configurations.
Looks cool enough, but I get the same performance in this game in CM9 alpha 0 with stock clocks and kernel, so I'm not sure what "can't get this performance in CM9 even if I tried" is about. And that's not just running around in an empty inn, that's in battle with on screen action.

Actually, I think my grammar was correct. I did spell released wrong though. lol Maybe (one word) is an adverb meaning "perhaps." May be (two words) is a verb phrase showing possibility. In any case, I'm not seeing it coming out today.

so i have had Awesome beats on all my other phones and wondering if i can get it on dna. i know it has beats audio built in but i liked the features and different sound modes in awesome beats. any way to get this app to tweak with beats audio?
I found a DSP manager that works, and as far as I can tell it's the same thing with a different logo. I'm not really sure. What I do know is that DSP+Beats amplifier+good headphones will rattle your friggin' brain. Seriously I was testing it and it got to the point where I told myself "this can't be safe." but it sounds awesome. It's like having subs in your ears. Anyways here's the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2017647
Oh and if DSP and the Awesome Beats thing are in fact two different beasts, I'd recommend looking in the HTC OneX forums. That's where I found the DSP zip. It's gonna have some libs that you need too besides the apk, so if you do find it, it should be a flashable zip.

Are there any good music zips out there like Beats, or Acid for the Note 2? I have found some on other Note 2 threads, but didn't know if they would work for the Verizon version?

What rom are you using?
I am running CleanRom 3.5 with Player Pro which has it's own equalizer. Is there another music app that can be used to test this? The native music app?

You are 1 of about 3 people in that thread that found it actually works. 3 people, in 5 pages.
Beats is a joke anyway if you are just porting software. It is an EQ, nothing more.
On the DNA, it has upgraded audio hardware as well, with a more powerful amp.

Is there a zip for this hardware mod?
There is ac!d mods signed samsung audio package. This works on both stock rooted deodexed and beanstown for me and others. As per the thread it should work on any samsung device running aosp or tw-based. Flash at your own risk, i am not responsible for bootloops. Attached is the link to the zip that worked for my phone as posted from ac!d mods, credit to ac! D and team.
Please note it is also an equalizer setting called fxbooster. Best used with play music app. Will not be selectable with stock samsung music player.

Fxbooster as you call it is an AOSP equalizer. I'm not sure what Acid is, but thats definitely not it.

My apologies if that is also an aosp equalizer setting but it is also the equalizer used with the ac!d mod. I am just posting what has worked for me. The mod installs multiple libs and changes the equalizer settings.

It installs just fine and looks like it is working, but makes no difference whatever in my sound.....

Before you do anything, DO A NANDROID BACKUP!!!!! I am not responsible for any mistakes that you make or if anything happens to your phone.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Download file and put it on the root of your memory
Boot into recovery (easiest method is using Quick Boot from Play Store)
Wipe Cache/Dalvik
Install ZIP
Wipe Cache/Dalvik and then Fix Permissions (for optimal results)
Reboot then you have the application!
DOWNLOAD:
Awesome Beats
THANKS TO:
-AdriVelazquez for the ZIP file and changing the ZIP to utilize the already existing (More updated) musicFX.apk and remove the DSP Manager portion.
-Cyanogen
-Beats
-nik3r
-mwalt2

DEVELOPERS: You can use this to incorporate in your ROM, I did not make this so I take no credit for it at all, I just found it and tweaked it a little to best work with our device.
I've had this in the Sprint section for a bit but decided to throw it in here because it should work with your phone. Enjoy!
Thanks for this, _Epic. I appreciate any developments/mods that come out for our phone.
Nothing against you, but as a side-note - why aren't more people aware that Beats "technology" is nothing more than glorified equalizer settings? This mod sooner or later becomes available for almost every smartphone I've looked at and it's infecting computers now; this is in addition to those godawful headphones that apparently took 40% of the industry share this year. And people seem have no idea that you can accomplish the same or maybe achieve better results with a little bit of EQ and some knowledge? And worst of all, now this company (which is basically a big joke) has a reputation for solid, reliable audio quality, a reputation which should be reserved for high-end, established audio manufacturers like Sennheiser/Grado/manymanyotherswhoarenotendorsedbydrdreordavidguetta.
Seriously though, I mean no offense... and I appreciate the time and contribution, I just have a "thing" with that company.

If you have nothing good to say don't say anything at all... Regardless, people choose what they like, even if it's not the best its simple, no one really wants to mess with equalizer settings ok... They want it to just work... Besides you don't have to use this, anyways.... Great mod... Worked like a charm, don't even need to back up if you follow instructions right, might want to add that fixing permissions might take a while, some people might get impatient and decided to early reboot
Thrown up by my LG Optimus G, why you jelly at my superior phone?

The iPhone is nothing more than a glorified app launcher. People seem to buy plenty of them. It's simplicity to use is the same reason people enjoy Beats. I for one enjoy Beats because it makes better quality sound with a click of a button rather than having to **** with EQ settings that I have no knowledge of(nor do I care to learn about it.) To each his own right?

Yep yep I agree and certainly didn't want to start anything...mmm...maybe I could've picked a better time to add my two cents, and maybe I'm a little biased because my major passion in life is music and audio mixing...But yeah, if you like it, by all means.
And thanks again to _Epic for the contribution. :good:
So before I flash, can someone tell me how this works? Is it a system-wide effect to be used with any audio app? If so, does it also affect apps that already have their own EQ built in?
Thanks.

So this does nothing if you're running Nocturnal ROM. I have the sound enhancements ended for the "walkman" app and I see when I mess with the equalizer, it does stuff. But when I go into Beats, the equalizer doesn't do anything.
So either you can't have them both, or I'm doing something wrong. Even when I disabled Sony Walkman, it still didn't do anything.
