The way of installing Carbon is exactly the same as flashing CM if you have already done so. In the case you haven't, it is basically what you've said. Only thing that you would need to check is to backup your efs (even though the installation zip should backup it). In that case you won't have further problems later.
For impulse, after you've set-up your Carbon ROM, you can take the zip containing impulse and flash it using the same way.

I really want to help but unfortunately i don't know what to help you on:
But:
1: Did you install the ROM/kernel properly?
2: Did you try re-installing?
3: Did you try flashing stock firmware than Wolfbreak's ROM.
4. Did it work on stock kernel?
5. DID YOU MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOADED THE RIGHT 3.60 KERNEL BECAUSE GORO PUT THE WRONG LINK? (oops caps)
Download the goro kernel again and flash it HERE
Hope this helps
Hello thank you for your reponse, indeed I tried some thing, and with the good kernel .
I have try:
- to make a fresh instalation of bb.67 and of the ROM tw008, then of the custom kernel 360 (by trying all the camera resolution, and play on frequence cpu, anything has to make its not working). I have not try to make a fresh installation of firmware via SEUS (I try it now!!)
-Camera is completely functional with the stock kernel , with z's custom kernel (22,23,05) and with custom kernel 3.47 when i was on tw7 bb52, but I prefere the ck 360 for the underclock and bb.67
- with and without the theme which I use
And camera make always her tantrums
Well I try the fraiche installation firmware and I informed
Works fine for me and everyone else using it...
Must be something you're doing
Just for information if it can help to resolve the problem, when I takes a photo the image gallery makes an black screen and when I want to pass in video mode the application makes a sudden closure
always similar after a full fresh installation of all.... i don't know what's the problem. i think i will wait a future kernel with underclocking and stay with z's kernel for the moment ,but if anyone got a idea or question about situation ...

you might be flashing the wrong version of the kernel for your rom....
it's strange because all working fine, just this problem with camera . i trying to reorganize my sd card she's in a mess... maybe it's the cause of my problem.
some opinion?
I don't think its related to the rom or custom kernel. I've had this problem on some of the custom roms I've tried. What ultimately fixed it for me is by formatting the sd card so make a backup of your entire sd card then format it.
Sent from my X10x using XDA App
Good news,
my problem is resolved. Yesterday evening I completely cleaned my card sd then I left the telephone have it reconfiguré. I remake fresh installation rom tw008 and of the custom kernel 360 and hop all work fine. I think that the problem came because I tested several applications camera, background which created several files for photos, images, because which never clean .i am finally going to be able to take advantage of quite its hey hey.
Thx all to be interested in you has my case and sorry for my bad english

i need to do is flash stockicscwm.img then flash ROM and then?
I think there is no difference. You can flash only new kernel while installing ICS.
Hi, I update the info
@Qwerty123
Tomorrow I will be update with more options if it is possible.
@mobikidz
Yes, so you can use cwm anytime CWM with back key, and now this kernel have more features than original stock rom and the custom rom.
@FrozenSE
Yes you can use this kernel for alpha ics SE roms
do i need to remove this stockics0.2.img kernel after flashing because it is an Insecure boot.img
Good Morning, people!
princesupernoah kernel v0.2 is an insecure image because i need to run adb with superuser privileges, but it`s not bad so i can use for many things. However you can download v.0.1, that it´s clean, only include CWM.

I used KRsH kernel v2 and v3 which both allow overclocking upto 2GHz. They are very good in terms of stability too. But if you want lesser battery drain, try v2

if you install a ROM without flahear the kernel of this ROM, the more likely a mistake, by incompatibility
I recommend you flash from flashtool using fastboot mode, but here I leave another alternative if you must install the kernel since smartphone.

Always at your own risk
No CM11 flash file image

Asking the wrong questions won't get you any meanigful help at best, and bad advise at worst.
Give details on what rom you are trying to install, exactly what steps you make to install it, is your bootloader unlocked etc.

when you have a kernel X, and install a new ROM that has a Kernel Y you will have two problems.
1.- you miss status 7
2.-or are you stuck in the logo
Here you have the latest kernel for CM 11 by @New Maclaw
Kernel by Maclaw 20131213
uses the kernel with flashtool in fastboot mode

I think you should try your luck with backing up all your stuff and flashing stock Rom !
Stock Rom
I Think First The Kernal Or Rom Is Unstable Try Flashing Stock Rom ...
After Doing This If Problem Solved Then Try Other Rom Nd Install It Perfectly if u want as it was Not Installed Pecrfectly last Time.
If Problem Continues Then Its Must Be Hardware Problem...
This Can Also Happen If Water Has Entered Ur Phone ....
Solution
The main causes of bootloop are listed below:
1.Flashing multiple tweaks
2.Changing custom ROMs without reading the procedure
3.Flashing Kernels one over the other
The following kernel order is placed on general forum for my phone but maybe you can try it too but I don't take responsibility for any damage occuring to your phone:
1).If you are on stock kernel:
you can flash any kernel without bricking your phone...
2). If you are on savie kernel:
1)Stock on savie -- ok
2)white kernel on savie-- ok(you will not get soft bricked but may get busybox problem)
3) hells kernel on savie--ok
4) devient kernel on savie--ok
5) merruk kernel on savie -- ok
6) black reactor kernel on savie--ok
7) kuro kernel on savie-- ok
3) if you are on white kernel:
1) stock kernel on white-- no
2)hells kernel on white-- no
3) savie kernel on white --ok
4) merruk kernel on white --ok(but it is better to flash stock kernel via odin)
5) black reactor kernel on white--no
6) devient kernel on white-- no
7) kuro kernel on white -- no
If you are on merruk kernel:
1) stock kernel on merruk--no
2) white kernel on merruk--ok
3) all other kernel : no
If you are on hells kernel:
All kernels except merruk kernel ....
1) If you are on kuro kernel:
1) Stock kernel on kuro -- ok
2) savie kernel on kuro -- ok
3) white kernel on kuro -- NO
4) merruk kernel on kuro-- NO
5) devient kernel on kuro -- ok
6) black reactor on kuro -- ok
2) if you are on devient kernel:
1) stock kernel on devient-- ok
2) savie kernel on devient --ok
3) white kernel on devient-- ok (but may get busybox problem)
4) merruk kernel on devient -- ok
5) hells kernel on devient--ok no brick (but i got bootloop problem rom-jellynoid)
6) black reactor kernel on devient --ok
7) kuro kernel on devient --ok
3) If you are on Jarvis kernel:
1)White kernel over Jarvis -- ok
2) hells kernel over Jarvis -- OK
3) all other kernels -- NO
4) If you are on Percy cm#2 :
1)Hells kernel over Percy -- OK
2) savie kernel over Percy -- ok
All other kernel -- NO
I don't know whether you have these kernels for your phone. If yes, then you can use it.
Solution:
1. Flash kernel before you flash a ROM.
2. Don't use multiple tweaks. Select the one or two which is the best ones and also compatible.
3. Reflash Stock Kernel and Stock ROM.

It is recommended to have a backup of all your data before you proceed. I am telling this from my experience. I am using Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 mobile. You can download the CWM and custom ROM through mobile. Installing a custom rom doesn't allow you to move your apps to sd. You should need to create a second partition in sd card and link it with internal memory using link2sd. If you create second partition, you will lose all the data stored in sd card. Search on google play with keyword: call recorder.
Please press thanks if I have helped you. Also I don't know much about your phone.
