Where to play a Bunker Ring? - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

I have one coming in the mail soon and I'm wondering where everyone has theirs placed.
I know the "general" place to put it is right in the center, but I've been hearing some Note 2/3 owners placing theirs on the bottom right/left. Any input?

[Q] Back button is too close to edge and easily hit with palm

Hi all, I posted this in another Tab 10.1 forum at www.thegalaxytabforum.com but I am also posting this question and concern here to see who else has this problem/concern and if it can be fixed.
I am having an ergonomic problem with this Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 sleek slim design!
While holding the tablet as one intuitively would and trying to type or do touch screen motions I find that the palm areas of my hands always touch the "page back" arrow button at the lower left edge of the screen (on the bottom task bar) and causes it to exit out of the page I am working on. Same goes for the lower right corner edge where the clock/settings icon opens up when my right hand palm leans up against it inadvertently.
I find that Samsung in all their wisdom of trying to make a slim sleek looking design surely messed up on this point! The tablet's screen bordering edge sure looks good, but is way too thin and too close to the active screen area at the lower corners causing one's hands and palms to easily contact those corner icons and inadvertently activate them.
Can anything be done to move those corner icons further away from the corner edges so that these sorts of false touch activations can be eliminated?
The Asus EE Transformer tablet my son has, does not have this problem because the tablet frame is wider and keeps your hand palms further away from falsely touching those corner icons.
Samsung, goofed up here. I hope my suggestion of moving the icons away from these corners can be done in a software OS update.
Your just an idiot who doesn't know how to use it. I have the exact same tablet and it works perfectly. I have no problem with the back button or anything. My brother has the Motorola xoom which has a smaller bezel all around and all be does is use that tablet. He has no problem with it at all. So it doesn't matter if you have a big or small bezel to use the tablet you just have to be smart. And obviously your not so you should just go and return it

What a childish immature response. Totally un-helpful! I think the moderator should ban you if you keep posting like this. At least delete this totally unhelpful post of yours.
if you use the tab on a table your palm should rest on the table surface, same if you use it on your lap.
especially if you're an adult and have big hands
I use my 10.1 with one hand all the time and never run into this problem. To each their own, I suppose.

Well, I don't think my hands are that big but I do not use the tablet at a table nor in my lap looking down at it. I wanted to get a tablet because it is supposed to be light and portable and easily held in your hands to read like a book. Also if one is laying down relaxing on a sofa or in bed taking in some night time surfing whilst going to bed, then some hand holding it up with two hands is required. Sooner or later your palm is going to brush up and touch the screen inadvertently even if you are aware of this issue, the brain easily drifts off every now and then and you can forget for a moment to keep your hands away from the touch screen.
I guarantee you not everyone is going to always use the tablet on a flat table surface or always in their laps. There will be some hand holding positions folks will be using it in.

[Q] Clicking noise, top left corner

Hi,
i am from germany and bought my tab in canada a few days ago. I was a few times at best buy, before I decided to buy it. In the shop I bended, folded and assaulted the demo device like hell. I did not hear any clicking noise or saw other strange things happen.
Now back in germany, I found the time to play with my device and found the following problems (in Canada I just took it out of the box to verify that it is not a DOA):
* When I grab the tab with my left hand on the left side and with the right hand the right side and apply slightly (!) pressure in contrariwise direction, then I hear a noticeable clicking noise in the top left corner (although I am not 100% sure that it is from there, but for sure on the left side somewhere).
* There is a very tiny little black spot/dust/dirt between screen and glass (or between glass and coating?). If I slighty push with a finger at this point then it look like there is a bubble or fluid around this spot. It is hardly noticeable during normal work, but I am worried if it has side effects in the future.
I could live with the latter, but the former makes me crazy.
As samsung is currently not allowed to sell the tab in germany, I can not find any warranty information on the german website. Do you know if Samsung offers in general international warranty so that I can send it in for repair in germany?
Any other adice? Maybe a DIY repair for the clicking noise?
Best wishes,
Klaus

PS:
I think I have the same issue as this guy here:

Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
I have a similar problem on the right side near the speaker. I noticed that if I pushed on the back the adhesive would hold it for a second, but then pop back out.
I tried exchanging it but the guy refused after I examined another device they had which had the same problem.
Honestly, as an electrical engineer, I can't fathom how my issue could progress to something worse after looking at a disassembly. Maybe one day I'll take it apart and fix it, but it's not a high priority. I'd classify it as a cosmetic flaw.
What I suggest is just buy a case and forget about it--that's what I did.
@oclock:
If i where you I'd contact Samsung germany first and ask, if they refuse go to the netherlands or whichever is closest and ask if they can help you.
Personally I'd be furious for such a flaw considering it's far from cheap
The little black spot sounds like it might be the start of the infamous "Newton's ring' also know as 'oil slick and,'moisture under screen'. It should be covered under warranty and people have successfully done that. Other people are putting the unit in the fridge or blowing into the charge port.

Where can I find the LED screen for Prime

I recently destroyed 2 tablets at the same time...My wife's Nook tablet and my Asus Prime. We left Publix shopping and as my daughter (not even 2yrs old yet) started crawling into the car i quickly moved both tabs from the back seat and put them on top of the car ..I finished putting the groceries in the car, strapped my daughter into the car seat and TOOK OFF..now i partly blame my wife but thats part of bieng married so anywaysss. We left the shopping center and hit the road..thats when I heard "somthing" while I was driving but I had no idea what it was so I kept on rollin..yeah then it FINALLY HIT ME! WTF why isnt my tablet by my side!!?? ...then it hit me again...OH S*&T thats what the noise was!!! ...so I made the quickest u-turn ever imaginable and saw my tab laying in the road with its cover still on it...i had my hopes..so while driving back to it on the other side of the road 2 cars ran right over it ...it was horrible to watch. I grabbed it and tucked it away hoping for gods blessing that he the almighty would protect it....but no. I opened the case and it looked....just fine. Then I turned it on and the LED is cracked inside...the outer screen is perfect still. Its completely black with colored cracks in it...so i was mighty upset about it yesterday..today I took it apart, removed the broken LED and I just need a replacement LED...i went to the website but I dont see anywhere to order it just contact info.
Its a HannStar hsd101pww2 LED ...if anyone knows where I can find one to buy that would be awesome and thats my goal for writing this up. Once I find and order one I will replace it and post pics of what I did, thanks XDA community for your constant support. =)
This is the official site of the Primes LED screens so if anyone can find the purchase button if there is one or if anyone knows where please let me know, thanks.

Sorry to hear about your accident. I know how you feel, happened to me with my new RayBan years ago.
Why don't you just fill out the contact sheet and let them know about your problem to purchase from their website. They probably have a 2nd site which did not get linked
Let us know how the story ends.
Good luck.

[Q] Volume on Phone Calls too low?

Anyone else finding the volume level of calls to be too low? Anyone using an app like Volume+ to boost the volume for in calls?
For me, it's too low - with occasional bursts of normal volume. Wondering if I'm covering up one of the mics or something causing a problem.
This is going to sound dumb, but this happened to me the first time I used my phone. The pulses of loudness is what made me figure out it was a bone head mistake (in my case atleast).
We are all used to holding a phone to our head in a certain fashion. Usually you index the corner to the top/front area of your ear. Since the phone is so wide, you have to bring that corner forward placing the center where the speaker is over your ear hole. As silly as this sounds, it's something I've never had to do before as the earliest phones always lined right up with your ear. I hope your issue is this simple, it sounds exactly what I experienced.
I too adjust where i position it by my ear. I do this often. Especially during the same phone call.

This could be it. Experimenting by calling my work voice mail now. Sure enough, if you have the phone's corner resting on your ear, then the grill is a little to the left. I'll have to play when I get some calls (not so frequent for me) and see if I need a boost at all!

Yeap, feel like a goon now don't you? We've never had to deal with something like this as there has been few devices where it would be an issue. Sometimes you catch the dumb stuff, sometimes the dumb stuff catches you.
Agree with the above, I've had mine since the pre-release and it took weeks before I figured this out!

Front panel loose at top left (solved)

Hello all,
2 days ago I received my S6 Edge.. Awesome device. Really happy with it in fact.
As I always do with my phones.. I play around with them a bit..
Suddenly I noticed this weird loosen up front panel on the top left of the device.. You can hear it move a bit (like a click sound) for half a millimeter whenever I pressed firmly..
Does anyone of you have a similar issue.. or would it be limited to my device?
update: getting switched for another one. No others have reported this issue so far.
Just stop
This is in no way a joke..
It is being switched for a same S6 edge as I love the device.
I have spoken to some others and they don't have this issue.. so all will be fine. Topic can be closed.
Oh jeez. Here we go. Again.
#Stopgate #Gobuyiphonegate
Dont think anyone thought you were joking...but, when you start using # gate crap. You loose a little respect. Just saying
