Hi.
This is my first thread.
I bought this phone about a week with JB 4.2 from CLARO and I tried to install 4.4 KITKAT from cyanogenmod (spyder - snapshot M5).
First (again) I followed this intructions http://true-android.blogspot.com/2014/01/update-motorola-droid-razr-xt910-to.html
Obviously, I make a big mistake (I confused bootloader with recovery mode).
So, in the 3rd. step I reboot the XT910 in recovery (bootloader manager):
I'm not be able to complete the 5th. step because bootloader doesn't have Wipe Dalvik Cache.
Later, the phone doesn't work, doesn't power on, every time it showed "AP flashboot mode" and the battery go down.
Then I could charged the battery, and tried this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2372614
This thread explain 3 steps.
Then, reboot the phone and I got a "CUSTOMER ID ERROR" (every time to power on "normally", the phone works but only if I choose BP TOOLS)... I can't install Hjihack (3rd. step) because I need to be rooted.
Later (again), I found this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2257137&page=3
But just stays on "daemon started successfully" and never does the rest.
In USB configuration window, can choose XT910 [0216], but when the program started, I can see 2 options of XT910 [0216] on USB MENU
What can I do to:
Install KITKAT
or
Be rooted with JB 4.1

Let me see if i get it, right now you are on 1-stock or you have your 2-phone bricked?
If 1: See step 3
If 2: Flash it back to stock with RSD Lite Tool (Droid RAZR Utility): http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/t...xt912-jellybean-windows-mac-linux-all-in-one/
Step 3: Root your device with the same tool i just give you (read the hole webpage so you get it)
Step 4: Now you are on Stock rooted JB 4.1.2, if you want to KK your phone, continue then
Step 5: Install SafeStrap 3.72: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2427125
Step 6: Download Your ROM and GAPPS and put them in your internal/external SD Card (I will recomend you A LOT Resurrection Remix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2725550)
Step 7: Get into recovery (Reboot your phone an after Motorola Red logo, press the menu key)
Step 8: Once you are in Recovery: Boot Options/Slot 1/(select data, cache ans system partitions sizes, it will take a while, take a coffee )/back/Wipe/Advance wipe/thick Cache, dalvik, data and android secure/back/Install/(search for the 2 files you just Download)/Select the ROM FIRST, the click ¨add more zips¨/and then select the gapps/slide to flash/wait/wait/wait...when it finishes click wipe cache/dalvik/back/reboot/reboot to system
Step 9: Thats it, you have the best KK ROM on your Droid RAZR. enjoy
Do this:
Follow: http://droidrazrroot.com/
then install the SafeStrap:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2427125
If you bricked, use the fastboot and recover back to 4.1 and try again. Make sure you only install one safestrap, preferably safestrap 3.7.x detailed in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2427125
Don't install the safestrap version detailed in http://droidrazrroot.com, that version is too old to run KK.
KK requires TWRP 2.7.x.x or higher or for our purposes safestrap 3.7.x or higher

Hi.
On stock? if you mean original SO / android version (CLARO operator)?
Answer= No!! When I bought the phone, it was Ice Cream or JB (don't remember)... but I flash it with 4.1.2 from T-Mobile.
Phone bricked?
Answer= I have read many threads / posts (english-spanish)... And I think have "soft bricked"
My phone works, can make calls, can navigate in internet, can play games.
But I just turn on pressing ON/OFF + VOL UP (wait signal on screen) and later VOL DOWN
and choosing BP TOOLS.
I wish to fix that.

Hello!
I own an Atrix which is rooted on stock froyo 2.2.2 from Brazilian carrier Claro.
I tried to install CWM with Rom Manager but after my device rebooted I got the Failed to Boot 2 error message, so I flashed to bootloader with IHOP_bell.sbf (didn't unlock it) and it booted again but now the phone only recognizes 373mb of ram and I cant enter Android Recovery, it shows the Failed to Boot 2 error message again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your time!
Fixed.
If you have a similar issue after trying to install CWM with Rom Manager:
(YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR DATA)
1. Acquire a full sbf of the rom you have installed.
2. Download RSDLite 5.5.
4. Open RSDLite 5.5, click "..." and select your sbf.
5. With a full charge, plug your phone in and reboot your phone holding volume up.
6. Wait for RSDLite to recognize it.
7. Click start and wait.
Everything should be fine now
At this point is good to mention CWM is not to blame for this AFAIK since I can install it from the APK just fine. Rom Manager was the one who screwed up big time.
After flashing to China ICS leak, I found the battery goes down very fast, 100% to 0% in 6 hours
I want to re-flash the rom but I cant do it with RSD nor the tools that for force flashing
Then I go to the other ICS leak, following this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28006523#post28006523
I can go to the step for wiping the cache, but I cant do the update via the stock recovery, the machine show update, then reboot to the green android logo. Nothing was done to the machine.
Now my machine cant boot into the system, I can still boot into the menu for choosing the recovery/AP
My bootloader version is 0A.74
This is my first thread in XDA, hello to all and hope I can get some hints from you all. Thank you.
PS
I follow this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1539192
But it failed from the very first step "1/11 cdt.bin"
I have the XT910 RAZR (GSM) running on gingerbread (rooted) and I tried installing CWM Recovery (Black Edition- this is the only one I could find) and upon booting into recovery, I cant see any options. I can see the CWM logo and I guess its black text on a black background. Hence I cant see anything.
I want to install MIUI Android ICS on my RAZR and kindly provide me the simplest steps to do that. I'm used to my Samsung phones and its the first time I'm trying a motorola.
Once again, I'm on rooted Gingerbread and I want to install MIUI ICS. I need step by step instructions on how to do this as I'm not able to understand the guides provided.
Thanks in advance.

To install MIUI ICS, you need to go to stock ICS 4.0.4 first.
Step 1. Going to stock ICS 4.0.4
Here is how to install ICS 4.0.4 to your Razr XT910 with very simple instructions,
http://www.droidevelopers.com/showt...ia-Retail-amp-ME-Retail-ICS-Firmware-download
Now your phone is on ICS 4.0.4, and you need to root it.
Step 2. Rooting
Here is a root tool for ICS 4.0.4,
DON'T forget to check "usb debugging mode" (Go to settings> developer options> usb debugging and check it)
also go to settings> security and privacy> check unknown sources.
and root with this tool
http://dlhg.eternityproject.eu/mtspyder/eprj/pedro/EPRJ_EasyRootICS_MultiOS_v1.2.zip
If your phone is successfully rooted,
Download MIUI ICS http://files.miuiandroid.com/2.8.24/miuiandroid_umts_spyder-2.8.24.zip
and copy it to your ext-sdcard.
Go to step 3.
Step 3. Installing CWM recovery
Download CWM here http://www.mediafire.com/?rd6a34zxr81hvfx
and install it like the way you install a normal apk.
Step 4. Wiping Data/ Factory Reset
Run RazrTouchBlack, then click Install Clockworkmod Touch (It will say Success > OK)
Click Reboot CWM touch.
Your phone will restart to CWM recovery, and
Click Wipe data / factory reset
Step 5. Flashing MIUI
From CWM recovery menu,
choose install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard and choose miuiandroid_umts_spyder-2.8.24.zip ,
it starts flashing and wait to finish.
After complete flashing,go to advanced > Wipe Dalvik cache and reboot your phone.
[OPTIONAL]
If your phone got a bootloop,
1. Turn off phone
2. Hold both Volume Up & Volume Down then press power button
3. When you see RED MOTOROLA logo, wait 5 seconds
4. Now press both Volume Up & Volume Down button
5. Now use Volume Down button to scroll and use Volume Up button to confirm selection
6. Select Recovery
7. Use Volume Up / Volume Down to scroll
8. Use Power button to confirm selection
9. Wipe cache
10. Wipe data/factory reset
11. Reboot
That's all.
Now your phone is on MIUI ICS.
Remember!!! MIUI don't use SuperSU nor Superuser.
Permission manager was used instead of SuperSU and Superuser.
Whenever you installed an application, you need to switch on "I trust this application".
Goodluck...:good:
Hello Xda,
I'm having an issue when installing IWT rom on my B92M 1GB 2012 version.
I had another rom with 4.1.2 from this forum. And my steps were:
1.) First i have flashed the phone with the 4.1.2 stock rom (b92m411GB.zip from the forum)- via flashtool - Download mode not Firmware upgrade(doesn't work with upgrade)
2.) All good. The rom installed, booted, everything seems to work.
3.) Installed the archive that roots the device from recovery.
4.) Then i have copied IWT UNIVERSAL BASIC ROM FOR 2012 MODELS on my card and installed it via recovery. (wipe dalvik and factory reset after that)
5.) All good. The rom installed, booted, everything seems to work well.
BUT
Then i have copied the IWT ROM VERSION 1.3.1 FOR 1GB 2012 MODELS on the external card and try to install this one via RECOVERY, the phone updates and when i reboot the phone freezes at the IWT boot screen (i have waited almost 2-3 minutes and the phone was vibrating from 2 and 2 seconds regularly - this happened once and when i saw nothing happens so i removed the battery). The thing is that he freezes at boot after update.
My questions are:
1. Are those the right steps to update to this rom?
2. Can anyone make a detailed step-by-step guide or a video tutorial (this would solve many other's problems)
3. Now i'm running b92m411GB.zip (stock) with IWT UNIVERSAL BASIC ROM FOR 2012 MODELS update. i have also installed on the phone OTA UPDATE. And it says there are no updates for this rom. Where i'm mistaking?
(With this version that i use now, wifi works, Bt also, i didn't have time to test the GPS)
4. What is the last IWT rom last version? Where can i find it?
Thank you in advance!
No one can help?
Anyone any ideeas?
I have found a solution
1. First of all you need to install via flash tool the clean rom for B92M
2. Then via recovery install: iwtv1-1.zip
3. Boot the system
4. Reboot in recovery and install: iwtv1-2.zip
5. Boot the system again
6. After boot and system started, reboot again in recovery
7. Now install the last archive from recovery also: iwtv1.3.1.zip
8. After it finishes you should be able to boot in system (IWT 1.3.1).
9. After it started you can now install the 1.4. via OTA updater
REMEMBER
After every update of system you should restart the system and let it boot in system.
So, I have used this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2568478
And it worked all fine until i wanted to install GAPPS and then it got stuck on the SlimKAT logo, So I used the TWRP that came with in order to Remove Cache and Clean Partition and extras that it had there.
Now it's stuck on the Samsung logo and going to TWRP works, also going to Download Mode, but the problem is that I tried all stock Firmwares available that worked for me before and now none helps, also tried to install CWM but it's stuck on TWRP.
I really don't know what to do and need help of the experts here in xda-developers.
It's very important to me,

It goes without saying but I'll say it anyway...I'm not responsible if you mess up your device...Also, I'm not sure it will work for your Korean device.
This assumes that you have an external SD Card - I've included several extra steps for safety and to MAKE SURE that you do NOT erase your SD card accidentally - You would not be the 1st person to do that...If you do not have an external SD card, ignore these instructions:
Step 1: Download any GB kernel - here's one that I know works for USA device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2318550
Step 2: Download any GB Rom - here's one that I know works for USA device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2123715
Step 3: put both files on your external SD card
Step 4: Using TWRP, install the GB kernel
Step 5: Power off your device
Step 6: Physically remove your external SD card
Step 7: Boot into CWM recovery by pressing and holding both the volume up and power buttons until the Samsung logo appears
Step 8: Wipe data, cache, Dalvik (in advanced), & format system (in mounts & storage)
Step 9: power off the device
Step 10: physically re-insert your external SD card
Step 11: Boot into CWM recovery by pressing and holding both the volume up and power buttons until the Samsung logo appears
Step 12: install the GB Rom
Step 13: reboot
