Hi, I just got a Acer liquid E and i'm completely new to android. I'm trying to load some themes that has extra stuff on the lock screen and i'm guessing i have to hack it to do so. I'm just wondering if someone could give me a rundown on it or give me some links on what i need to know. Thanks
To theme your phone you will need to hack a bit, but it changes from phone to phone. To customize your lockscreen just download WidgetLocker Lockscreen from the market: http://market.android.com/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker

Hey all,
I was just wondering if there was a simple way to change the overall font in the aokp rom. I don't know much about working on the phone other than the basic flashing of roms and kernels. I noticed that there are some apps on google play but many don't seem to work well with ics. I'm only asking this because a little while back I used ShoStock2 and it had an option to change the font in settings->display->font.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
If this is an obvious method please do not attack me. I did do a search here and on google and only found apps and custom scripts (like I said, I'm not very phone savy and prefer not to mess with too many things on my own).
Thanks in advance

thanks for the quick responses. I guess I'll have to spend some time reading into it.
Again, thanks
Look for font installer by JRummy free in play store. Has hundreds of fonts i use it on every ROM.

Another vote for Font Installer. I use it all the time. There are other ways to do it, but this is simplest (and safest, I'd say). It comes with a bunch of fonts available, but you can add others. Great app!

It does not work with core Gapps (AOSP launcher "Launcher3"). You have to use Google (apps) launcher for custom font. There is no font app (I know; FontInstaller, MyFont, iFont, Type Fresh,...) atm that's working with AOSP launcher. On my daily build of AOKP for flo (KitKat) it does not work at all.

Ok I''m running hotwires hotsource and man o man this is the sweetest rom I'vwe ever run. But being it's CM9 based I'm stuck without the widgets I really want. I want the stock GB/ICS weather and clock widgets. Is there any way I can pull them out of one of my backups and install them in my new rom? Please tell me this is possible, and if so please break it down elementary school style for me. Thanks in advance.
Not possible
None of the stock Samsung widgets will work, as they rely on the touchwiz framework. Same reason why the pen shortcuts won't work. If it was possible there would already be a ROM like it.

Thanks for the quick replys!
Morning, guys!
I developed a theme pack that works with all launchers (except Launcher Pro) and it has been in Play Store for about 2-3 months.
It has also been cracked, so people downloaded on the net instead of buying it.
Now, on my new theme I'd like to implent the LVL license. I know that it's would still be cracked, but not all users know how to do it. I just want my theme to be a bit safer.
I tried ito implement it but it doesn't work.
Apex launcher's developer told me that it's possible to implement it in icon packs even if they don't have a UI.
Could someone help me doing that?
Thanks a million!
Regards

Hi, I'm new to XDA. I hope you will guide me along here. I am using a Cherry Mobile Flare S100 (a.k.a. Karbon A9+) with a custom ROM and has Lidroid Toggles. I was just wondering, is there any way to add more toggles (*like Recent Apps, app shortcuts, etc) in Lidroid? If yes, can anyone kindly point me to a guide or teach me how? I would be happy to learn.. :]
bump! No one replied yet.. -_-
