Hello! I have two questions:
1) Whenever I use the camera on my S5, gear fits disconnects from the phone. Anyone else facing the same issue?
2) I thought Gear Fit is as an active HRM device. When I try to use it with S-Health and start the workout, it says no HRM connected. In the setting it does show Gear fit connected. If the gear fit does not have this capability, how does the phone provide real time updates (like to speed up/ or slow down). And do you really initiate that workout?
TIA.

1. No idea. It shouldn't happen.
2. You start the workout using the gear fit itself. Go into the Exercise menu and choose one of the options. Then it syncs up with your phone and does the "coaching" function.

not sure if this is a gear fit problem or phone. I got a gear fit for Christmas present. I have a s5 active I also use my radio in the car as my hands free. today while in the car when I received a phone call /made a call the radio showed the call but i could not hear the other person nor could they hear me. until i turned on the speaker on the phone. has anyone had this problem and how to solve this issue need hands free while driving.
question #1 i have gmail account at work is there a way to add that to the email on the watch?
question #2 can you swim with the gear fit on?
thanks in advance for the help
Not sure about your first problem. I use Gear Fit Phone.
#1 - In Gear Fit Manager go to Notifications then scroll down and under "General notifications" look for gmail and check the box to receive.
#2 - Yes, I have never taken it off for swimming and have had it close to 2m below. Note however that bluetooth connectivity thru water is bad therefore unless you want to have the device reconnecting all the time, switch bt off on the device/phone.
I'll try and see what I can expiscate regarding your first point.
Thank you i got the radio issue fixed by unpairing the radio then reparing it again. seems to be working now.
So, I've had my Gear S now for about a week, and LOVE it. The connection stuff has me a bit confused though. I have it paired with an AT&T Note 4. There are a few things I have questions about...
If I reboot the phone, the watch will only connect to Gear Manager remotely. Shouldn't it connect to Bluetooth first? I have to go into Gear Manager and disconnect the remote connection, then it will reconnect via Bluetooth.
Under what circumstances does the phone forward calls/sms to the watch? For example, on purpose, I left my phone at home one day, and went out for a drive. Calls and SMS that were made came from the watch's number. I can't say about the receiving end because I didn't receive anything LOL.
Sometimes, if I go out of Bluetooth range at home, the home wifi will kick in, but repeatedly get a message on the watch that the forwarding function failed.
I'm definitely keeping this baby, but just need a little help in understanding it fully.

With my S5 initially, Remote Connection would kick in after a few minutes out of Bluetooth range. But, when I was back in Bluetooth range, I would have to do what you are doing to drop RC. I had a Gear 2 Neo prior to Gear S, don't know if that was any issue. .I did a factory rest on S5 ( to get rid of root and some other things) , and now watch connects and disconnects to RC by itself and rather quickly. BTW, when in RC, all texts and calls to S5 do come to Gear S. If I were in your shoes, I might try to reinstall Gear on phone before wiping phone. IF you do wipe phone, Gear S will be reset during the pairing process, so you may want to back up your Gear S data prior.
Op. Under settings-connections-mobile network, do you have it set to auto connect? On the phone side of things for Bluetooth settings, gear s contented to phone audio?

Yeah, all that was set, but I ended up wiping both the phone and the watch and everything seems fine now... Still loving the watch... wondering how they'll make the next one better..
Have had my Gear S since June 2015 with issues the past three to four months. TMo and Samsung have been unhelpful.
1. Not connecting to network
2. Mic intermittent, mostly stopping immediately after trying to turn on
3. Samsung Play store apps do not work, such as gear task-will not add tasks nor lists. Wrist list will not add
4. Hi Gear wont work since the watch can't find a network
5. Apps will not run/work or force closes
6. Sometimes Remote works between Gear S and Note Edge, most of the time, not.
The only things that do work on the Gear S are the standard watches and S-Health. I've tried downloading watch faces from the app store and they crash the watch. I had loaded Nike Running now can't remove the app. Same with Milk Music-it wouldn't play on the watch, it just acted as a remote control for Milk Music on my Note Edge. I've disabled/removed Gear S apps on my phone (that do not show up on the Gear Manager app) but they do not remove from the watch itself.
I've already sent the Gear S into repair due to flashing between screens. I've spent days with TMo and Samsung help on all social network sites--they take 2-3 hours between answering questions and 'helping', so one issue will take 3-5 days.
SO Frustrated with the Gear S and Note Edge, sometimes i just want my money back, but way beyond the time frame now.
Want to share my experience on fixing my GPS tracking during my run.
BACKGROUND
For a few weeks, I noticed that my Samsung Gear Fit 2 no longer tracks location during a run and walk. But it was doing that when I brough my Fit2 last year. I have Google and not much info on the problem. I have noticed that the Fit2 was working properly when I had a Samsung phone. The problem occurs when I switch to a new (non-Samsung) phone. Location is turned on on the Fit2, GPS was turned on on my new phone, reset Fit2, etc... nothing would bring back the GPS. More specifically, the problem is that after my run, the map would not show up in SHealth.
Until I read a post somewhere that Fit2 will not use its onboard GPS until it is disconnected from the phone. In a nutshell, someone on the Internet suggested that turning off Bluetooth on the phone allows her to track her run. I use GPS Info Watch watch face to verify. Bingo solution. But not yet. What about my alerts during my exercise? If I turn off Bluetooth, I would not be receiving alerts.
SOLUTION
The solution is simple. Enable Your Location (aka GPS) App Permissions on Gear Fit Plugin.
It seemed that Samsung design the logic of the Fit2 to read GPS location first from the phone (if the Fit2 is connected via Bluetooth). If the Fti2 loss connection to the phone, it will activate the onboard GPS. In my case, because My Location was blocked in App Permissions for Gear Fit Plugin, GPS location was not passed onto my Fit2.
I wish Samsung would have better design and support for its product. But XDA fills in the gap. XDA ROCKS :highfive:

Hi there,
my huawei is not compatible with the samsung gear s3.
Any help?
Hey tripple X man. They are lying, as always, everything is compatible, my Mate 10 works perfectly fine with my Samsung Gear S3. I downloaded Samsung Gear and S plugin from https://www_apkmirror_com/apk/samsu...msung-gear-2-2-17022862-android-apk-download/, installed both an everything is OK. Hope it works for you too.
i can confirm too my pro 10 works with my S3
So my gear fit 2 but with 127 firmware i don't get the calls.
With 115 everything is fine!!!!!!
Can you guys browse your phone to buy a watch face?it just freezes on me everytime I try and browse
Mine is working as well. I had to turn off automatic power management of all gear related apps to make sure the system doesn't kill the app in background. Now it works like charm...
With my Gear s3 connected to my Mate 10 Pro the battery on my mate drains really fast. Like 15% during the night (7 hours)
If I uninstall Gear S Plugin, Samsung Health and Samsung Gear battery is normal again. 1% down during the night
Anyone else with battery drain problem while running Gear apps on their phone?

I had Bluetooth issues with my Xiaomi smart watch. Constantly disconnected. I think it's the aggressive ram management system. Had to return it
I am having trouble receiving notifications with what's history and notification wear apps.
I only receive messages when my phone screen is on.
I then noticed that when I open up what Bluetooth devices I gave paired, select S3 I see that input device is not selected. But it won't let me select it.
Could this be the reason? If so, how to rectify it?
