so i downloaded and installed senselessRom 2.0 ICS and did full wipe installed the zip and it auto installed the kernel at fastboot. loaded it up and i get no data. signal is good and wifi works but no data. i checked md5 and its right, wiped and flashed again with same result. rom is beautiful and most things work great other than the random system ui FC but that is a known issue and not a big deal. i checked in phone info and under mobile network state it says disconnected but mobile data is checked always on in settings =. ive tried everything i can think of anyone have any ideas? im comming from ineffebilis v1.0 if that maters. and also verizon data is not down in my area either lol.
You have to go to data usage, I think it's called, in settings, and it'll say Mobile Network, and have an on/off switch. These roms come with data turned off by default.

Go into system settings, data usage, and enable mobile data on.

lol you guys are awesome thank you so much lol
try
checking in settings under mobile data settings, mine was off by default when i installed the rom
I had this problem too but didn't notice it until hours after I had flashed the rom because I was on wifi all day. Once I got off wifi I was like wtf no data? I was about to get rid of it until I went into that and found that mobile data was turned off, kinda dumb IMO.
Took me like 10 minutes to find the switch. Why the hell is buried under THAT menu, and not with the BT/wifi/airplane etc menu? Because that might be logical?
Ya the ics menu is quite a bit different I never even saw that and in a completely different part of the menu there is the option for auto on mobile data and that was checked so I was stumped but ya thank god you guys told me where it was lol

Ics has already been said to not be user friendly.

My thoughts exactly. I saw that and then posted in the senseless thread asking if my phone was screwed up since there wasn't a data connection. Once I found it I went back in deleted that part of my post lol
Seriously, I'm nearly at the end of my tether with this phone. It always shows no signal on the status bar, however the network name shows up. Everytime I try to make a call, it always says 'moblie network not available'. SO far I've tried..
Using a different simcard - No difference
Changing the baseband - tried 6 different ones, no avail
Writing new firmware with odin - three differnt ones, no show
Firmwares with CWM - nothing happens at all
I really have no idea what to do anymore. I'm almost close to running over this pile of excrement with my car.
I went through this with CM7 for a while, it would work for a week or two then then for no reason lose the signal. I ended up going back to stock ROM's. Did you lose your imei?

Sounds like it needs to be repaired. This sounds like a hardware issue - modem or antenna must have gone.

I thought it just me....
I have the same problem. some times, ace show no signal, I can not sent sms or make a phone call, but I can access internet data. wierd...
I thought it just my provider anomaly...
I don't think it matters now. It's just decided to die on me and it won't turn back on. I'll have to open a dispute with the seller on ebay and get a refund. I was looking forward to using this phone for personal use as well as business, and it's just been an entire waste of time.
Sorry to hear...

This may have been posted already but I figured out how to stop my GPS from toggling itself on. If I turned off my GPS it would turn itself on and say searching for GPS, or turn itself on when I would be on a call or be in an area with no signal. Even after rooting, installing twrp and flashing Clean Rom 1.1 (THANKS SCOTT) it was still there. Looks like it was the carrier IQ causing the issue. I've done these three steps and haven't seen it since. Step 1: Settings>Location access> check 'Wi-Fi & Mobile network location' then uncheck 'GPS Satellite'. Step 2: On your device go to Settings>apps>runnings>Android System> IQServices> Stop. Step 3: Download 'Disable Services' app, open the app and go to android system the uncheck IQServices. I read that if you reboot your phone it could come back on and you'd just have to do the same steps to turn it back off. Also I heard that AT&T can turn it back on but at least you know how to shut it off. Let me know if this helps
Thought I'd update here and state that this does not affect VZN. This is the only bloatware they outed out of ?

from all the threads I've read it seems to just be AT&T
Actually T-Mobile has it too but gives you an option on initial setup. And of course you can still opt out after the fact.

On the Clean rom Scott set it up so that it does the google initial setup and it ask you the Wifi and GPS question but on the unrooted AT&T version I don't remember it giving me that option. I don't even think they want you to know about CarrierIQ. Thing that sucks is it drains your battery

anyway to get to this with Titanium Backup and freeze/unistall?
I haven't personally tried that and not currently using Titanium Backup so I wouldn't know honestly.

Try disabling 'remotely locate this device' in android device manager..
It helps preserve battery too..

So I got ahold of a galaxy nexus and within ten minutes of signing into my google account using the setup app my WiFi drops on the nexus..i have seen this behavior before so I diddnt think too much of it...I still retain my ip address and connection but WiFi on the nexus just will not receive any packages the router dishes out...so I pick up my Amaze and it starts doing the same thing!!! I've had my amaze for about 4 months and I've never had this problem never...until I bought home the galaxy nexus...I have factory reset using 4ext and still the bug persists...I even changed Roms and still no fix...I'm in super sense now and the only way to recueve any wifi package us to turn off WiFi then turn it back on...but that only works for about ten minutes then its back to empty WiFi...but I still keep my connection and up address...I'm thinking the bug jumped from my gnexus to my router then to my amaze...I have a brother who has an iPhone connected and his Phone is fine...that let's me know its not my router...and help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated as I do not have a pc to restore ruu (relock bootloader) or another phone to connect to WiFi with...the battery in ny gnexys has been pulled and won't go back in any time soon...Anyone interested in buyingva galaxy nexus? 70$ lol clean Verizon ESN...

I recently had trouble today with my gn3 randomly rebooting then it would get stuck on sprint yellow screen never booting fully to os I tried restart couple time before having to do a hard reset then after doing hard reset it said something about an program has encountered malicious or tripped something when I went into about device it said custom I have not rooted my note 3 yet waiting for more bugs to be squashed also the camera would literally make the phone stop responding which lead me to believe it's an sd card issue has anyone else experienced this or know what happened at least thanks in advance?

If it's brand new and you're able to, I would just do an exchange.

When I first got my phone
When I first got the note 3 I switched the SD card from my note 2 into it. When I boot the phone up it would try to install the sprint apps and then reboot. It would consistently do so. I almost had to return my phone until I figured out that I had to wipe the card. When I did so the phone started to work. Sprint tech support couldn't figure it out they told me to just exchange the phone since I just got it.
