Which are the best earphones with built-in microphone for the blackstone?? Those who come with the Blackstone aren't that good...
sorry wrong forum please move this into accessories
Done.
I recommend the Moto s9s (bluetooth); worth every penny i paid for them.
Yes, Motorola SD9-HD has my vote. Comfort, sound volume are first rate. Battery life and Bluetooth range are also excellent. I was amazed at how close the sound comes to my $500 Shure SE530's (well, almost, since the Shure's are in a league of their own!). The bass response was a wonderful surprise. I was also very surprised by how nice Window Media Player on the Touch HD sounded and how well A2DP works between the two. A+ rating from me!
thanks for the answers but I was referring to regular wired-earphones...any suggestions about them?

I think the best solution is to go to your local electronics store and buy a headset adapter w/built-in mic for the iphone, they work on the HD and allow you to answer calls. You can plug in any headphones that you like and use them in your laptop or music player as well.

Those sure look nice!
I'm no sound guru but do know that even tho the frequency range is wider than the skullcandy, that will only be noticeable with certain types of music. And the impedance will definitely play a part as well. Not sure whether the difference in the size of the speaker itself will be all that noticeable on such minute vessels but it might. If you really want to know you could post on an audio forum I suppose. I suspect the largest difference noticeable would be the in-\out ear types and everything else would be minor in comparison.

I couldnt say they are the best as I haven't tried everything out there, but I have given some pointers on what to look for and what's important in most cases.
Subjectively speaking, the SkullCandy iPhone issue is supreme, but I'm sure there are more expensive ones out there

This is confirmed? Any iphone mic 3.5 to 3.5 adapter will work as a mic for HD too and with any headphone set? A reseller told me not to buy it since it was not compatible...

I can confirm that Shure MPA-3C adapter works great with my audio technica earphones on my Blackstone coz I'm currently using it.
Ok for the Shure but will work any similar (and more economic) device?

Will this adaptor work for voice dial? I use Microsoft voice control so need voice dial. I tried a pair of Ultimate Ears with mike for the iPhone but you could not use voice dial...
I am looking at standard headphones if I can get an adaptor with mike that works. I have got it down to 4 in the price range I can afford.
Ultimate Ears Metro Fi 2
Ultimate Ears Metro Fi 150
Shure Se 102
Shure Se 110
Any comments on these please........
Hi kjt57,
I'm in the same boat... does your MSVC work with the standard HTC headset? I had to tweak the registry to make it work. Now it needs a long press on the HTC headsetbutton to kick in. I thought that it should work with every 3,5mm headset. Can you please crosscheck with the original HTC?
I'd like to use the Ultimate Ears Metro.fi 200v or the Shure SE210 with MPA-3C adapter, but MSVC is a must. I couldn't find a local dealer who has this earphones for testing.
Cheers

EU fi4 for mobile is not bad~~ if you looking for a wired earphone with mic and answer button
Has anyone tried the Motorola EH20 Stereo Headphones (or any of the EH in-ear microphone type headsets)?
I have the S9s and want something for when I'm wearing my bike helmet.
I'm thinking of buying bluetooth speakers so I can play music both from my G1 and my laptop. However, I'm having difficulty choosing the best one.
Can anybody recommend any bluetooth speakers? If not, do you have an alternative recommendation??
Thanks so much
Sony Ericsson orb is awesome!!!!!

Isn't there anything a little more substantial? Higher quality sound? Or is there really not a market for quality bluetooth speakers?

So it seems like the SBH52 is quite hard to get a hold of at the moment and is selling for quite a high price. Just wondering if anyone has recommendations for other bluetooth headsets that are not as expensive?
I've been having a look through Amazon as it is a good source of prices and reviews but I'm keen to hear personal feedback from fellow Xperia Z Ultra owners.
Has anyone has experience using any of these headsets?
I use the MW600, had this for about three years now and it works great. I was searching for a new stereo headset but I can't find anything else with such good battery life as this. A busy day mine dies after about 10-11 hours with music and calls.
SONY did make a new version of this model after seperating from Ericsson, can't remember the name now.
If you looking for a mono-headset I recommend the Voyager Legend by Plantronics very good headset
Sbh50..$74 everywhere.
These Kinivo BTH240 have gotten a good wrap on Amazon. 501 reviews and averaging around 4.5 stars which is pretty decent. Good thing too is that they're pretty cheap at $31. Supports music as well as handsfree calling and have got good reviews from those who use them at the gym. Might have to consider these as an early Christmas present. Not sure if I want to buy a handsfree bluetooth headset or one for music and handsfree. I can see the pros and cons of both.

The MW1LITE may be your answer. It's available on Sony's online store. http://store.sony.com/smart-wireless-headset-zid27-MW1LITE/cat-27-catid-All-Cell-Phone-Headsets

Hey guys
Got my Z2, and loving it 85% of the time, still a few kinks id like ironed out, but hey ho! Anyway one of the biggest things I think will be an issue is the microiphone. Doesn't seem a great recording source for anything loud or bass heavy.
I have seen the STM10 that you can get and its an intriguing bit of kit! Anyone got any reviews or experience with one? Its mostly going to be used for videos of music at festivals etc and would love to know if it is up to the job.
The other thing is it seems quite cumbersome, and wondered if anyone has any alternatives? It wouldn't be ideal to have with me at a music festival really (damage and or loss after a few ciders!) so is there a smaller one thats as good that anyone knows of?
Any info would be great

Hey mate, I'm chasing an external microphone for my Z2 too. I've enquired with Sony on FB and they said they'd get back to me soon so fingers crossed. In the meantime the Edutige EIM-004 looks very promising as it has a much better response to loud noises than their EIM-001. There's some Youtube videos of it in action at concerts and the difference is HUGE.
Here's the link if you're interested http://www.edutige.net/shop/eim-004/
I'll keep you posted if I hear anything about the STM10 too!

If you have the noise cancelling headphones you can use them as a microphone. Just change settings to microphone in smart connect.

Yeah I believe so, however I sold my headphones that came with the phone before knowing this. Damn! Haha

I've had the chance to test that out last night.
Sound was about 100-105DB and the Bass was HEAVY!
Internal
Headphone's stereo mic
well yeah xD too loud is too loud! even headphones stereo mic can't help you there.
p.s how much would a STM10 cost ?
Just a Tipp....
Did you guys try the stereo recording feature? You need to connect the nc-headset, so the phone uses the build in mics in the earbuds. Its a big difference in comparison to internal mic.
But the iblazr one has a built-in battery, the 3.5 mm connector is use only for data transfer, probable reason is that they wanted to be cross compatible with ios and android. So with a built-in battery, I think Sony could very easily pull-off a xenon flash accessory that plugs in to either the usb or 3.5 mm port.

Cider, lol.
So how many people have the stm10 mic? I'm really keen on buying it this weekend its just a matter of seeing what people actually think. I've seen some reviews but I'm not 100% on it yet

I own the STM 10. The quality of recorded audio is way better
I have STM10 and used it once. I can't judge the quality as I found that the sound is more or less the same (internal mic quality is good).
I want to connect an ordinary 3.5mm external microphone to Z2, but couldn't achieve that yet. This CTIA jack is really interesting, and has 5 pins.
Any advices how to do this?
I also have the STM10 and can confirm that it is very good at recording sound. Particularly in loud environments. I was at a gabba techno night this weekend and recorded some video with the microphone attached and I was very impressed. I will post the video to give you an idea later on this evening. For the money (around £30) it is well worth purchasing and looks pretty sweet when attached as well.
Hello everybody !
As i promised, here it is a video of Beyonce and Jay-Z concert at Stade de France that i record in UHD with STM10 with my Xperia Z2.
I confirm that the quality of the mic is just great !!! I'm really happy that i bought this mic before this concert
Enjoy !

Hey dude can you please confirm is STM10 works with non-Sony devices???
Hello,
I am still using old (but quality) headphones, so I am very interested in the quality of the 3.5mm headphone jack. Has anybody tested this? Are there any reviews that cover that topic? Good analog audio quality is really important to me, so what are your experiences? Thank you!
Its pretty good.
