Hey everyone for some reason my speaker volume output is a little low. Is this an issue that anyone's heard ? I think some Roms kinda mess with speakers ? I don't have an eqs open or installed.

I am New To Beats Auido and it does sound great... But my speakers seem quiet.. The ringer and notifications need to be brought up more... I have been look for some kind of eq or Something (yes I did check.. All the volumes are up!).
I would. Just. Think that with beats audio I would get a app like voodoo....
So is There a. Beats audio app or am I going to have to wait. For a. Kernal and voodoo???

Beats Audio essentially IS an EQ (a bad one at that) that cranks your bass and highs, and muddles everything in between. Sound is pretty great with it turned off.
I have also found the volume on this phone to be annoyingly low though - no idea how to fix that one. Anything below "half" on the volume meter is almost inaudible.

And were back in the lifeless cycle of cranking up our phones and blowing our speakers.. The same scenario happened on the EVo 4g and a lot of Rom users complained of blown speakers.. Don't mess with it!

Well I find the sound very clear.. Well at least compared to my epic 4g... But it could be a lot louder. I will look into volume +... But I definitely don't want to blow my speakers.

The only way for people to hear me is if I am on speaker or using a head set. I've tried many different roms. I believe my phone is using the top mic (noise canceling one) as opposed to the one at the bottom.
Does this sound crazy? Anyone have any idea how to fix or why this randomly happened?

Anyone else think there could be some improvements made on how loud the speakers can get? I was expecting more Boom. The sound is amazing but I want more of it...
I have some Base headphones that sound fantastic as well but they aren't very loud unless beats is on. Wondering if there is a way around this or is that by design?

Turn of beats when using NO headphones just the front facing speakers you will get more sound, that's louder!!

The HTC provided headset is lousy. It sucks. Get a third party one. It makes music worth listening too.

As you can read i got a Sennheiser headset, actually the mm70s my question is when i call someone why i can hear myself trough the mic in my earphones. The sound from the mic seems not to be muted for my earphones and i can listen to my own voice when i talk to someone thats annoying. Does it happen on Stock Roms also or on Stock based Costum Roms?

this has nothing to do with any brand of hs
actually I tried it on sense and the same happens but I don't have the latest updates installed
so what we would like to know is if it still happens using a sense based rom using the latest available updates

I had a similar problem with my HTC EVO 3D GSM, however it was also with Viper ROM but when calling, the person I called complained that the mic had a hollow and crackly sound to it...
Getting back to the problem:
My suggestions, if you are rooted, flash a stable RELIABLE rom with no extra tweaks, etc. and see if it gives any problems, if the crackling remains, you know what the problem is, replace speaker
If it goes away, reflash the rom but have a look for twaeks, etc. but in my opinion, the best is Android Revolution 4.0 rom, it works the best, and is most stable, the AOPK is quite buggy, and slow @ times but I always liked the DeSenced roms with AOPK
Hope this helps!!!
Thanks I reflashed back to stock, but the problem is still there, so for sure I know its the speaker, thanks for the reply
