Please help!
no service when flashed to Thunderbolt Jelly Bean ROM for Galaxy S2 i9100. Dream kernel
IMEI is good.
no service and no signal + a message when trying to set APN "unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped"
re installed with different kernel -- did not work.--
installed different JB rom -- did not work.--
wiped data, cache, etc... ---did not work ----
It's your first post, and you have no details in your profile that might give a clue as to where you are located and who your carrier is.
What is your exact device model? Look on the label under the battery.
What exact ROM did you attempt to flash? A link would be helpful.
My initial impression is that you flashed an i9100 ROM to a device that is NOT actually an i9100.

I have a galaxy s2 gt-i9100, I'm in Costa Rica, my Carrier is Claro.
the previous rom stock android 4.0 with root kernel that I had was not working properly ( server error google play and auto rotation ) so I updated, I tried resurrection jb, AOKP jb, root box jb v2. all of them no service, and I use to have service.

No links... But your phone otherwise works, so I guess you used ROMs for your model.
As jokesy said, try other modems.

Thankz for the help, I tryed but aroma does not give me the option to choose for another modem, and if there is a way to do it with the rom running, I down know how to do it.
By the way thank you guys for the help, Im studiying software ing. after I get more expereance I would like to help other as you do, realy thank you!

1. Download any modem of your choice here ( I recommend BVLP7 or XXLPX)
2. Copy the modem.zip to your phone
3.
- Boot to CWM recovery
- Flash Zip from SDcard
- Flash the modem.zip (you just downloaded)
- Reboot phone.

I'll advise you to flash a custom stock based ICS ROM, with full wipe and test if the problem still persists.
Don't forget to go a Nandroid backup before flashing the new ROM.

Glaxy SII NO Signal/No Service Problem
Flashed fone via odin from 2.3.5 to custom jelly bean 4.2.1
locked to network ,i unlocked it via z3x after this imei was gon and no signal.
i flased it to I9100XXLPQ_I9100OXALPQ_I9100XXLPQ_HOME.tar.md5 imee was 004999010640000.then repaird it all is well
but as i install any frimware like 2.3.5 and 4.1.2 imei i null/null
now i flashed it to again LPQ firmware imei is back but THEN I FLASHED IT CM-10.1 no imei damage all is well.
But SIGNAL PROBLEM STILL REMAIN
After a while suddenly signal appears full network but mobile netwrk state disconncetd .
then i restart the phone is show (NO SERIVE -ZONG) AND Some time emergencu calls_Zong
SIM canged flashed diffrent roms
NO responce yet
By Flashing these firmwares IMEI IS null/null and nor repair able:
I9100XWLSD_I9100OJVLS6_PAK( 4.1.2)
I9100XWLSD_I9100OXXLS6_NEE (4.1.2)
I9100XXMS1_I9100OXAMS1_XEO (4.1.2)
same reseult on i9100XXKH3 2.3.4
only repair imei on this firmware are flashed on this imei is back :
I9100XXLPQ_I9100OXALPQ_I9100XXLPQ_
also matched baseband with firmware via GETRIL App from play store
Note :IN APPS sim card icon is apperas and in apn auto apn is defined but no signal and no service some time this phone working fine but at restrt again in same state
Guys. please hel me. I'm noob in android and I'm new in XDA.I updated my Samsung Galaxy Siii GT-I9300 to a leaked version of JB4.3(Ireland) and I regret it. It eats up my battery so fast and it has some bugs including the music player when locked. I want to restore it to the Stock JB 4.1.2. But I've read some threads that downgrading will cause errors on IMEI/EFS thing ( I badly want to downgrade it and wait for the official release of the Firmware. Please HELP ME GUYSS!

Nope. My GT-I9300 is not rooted. I flashed the leaked version of JB through Odin 3.09. it drains my battery. Huhu

Huhu. But the other threads states that downgrading will cause a problem with my Imei. And leads to no network thing. is there any other way? Or an specific ROM that wont cause that problem? Thanks for lending your time.

I did have a GT-9300 and i could not remember how many times i flash up and down stock roms by ODIN and there was no error at all?
4.3 sucks bad...
Yes After downgrading to 4.1.2 My S3 (GT-I9300) does not show any Network. It is just a Emergency Call Only phone now.. Though after coming back to 4.3 again it works fine. I am also pissed off with this stupid update by Samsung. Please help if any buddy can...
Is it the official one from the Samsung website?
just downgrade it to 4.1.2 and flash a 4.1.2 modem, it will surely work.

I had similar issue upgraded to UK Stock 4.3 from Samfirmware ad had a terrible experience. I came across this 4.1.2 stock rom for Germany that worked with no issues as this one has MG4 modem that reads EFS2 partition newly implemented by Samsung,

If your S3 doesn't reboot on its own, enter Recovery Mode by pressing Volume Up + Power + Home button simultaneously and then performing a Data Wipe/Factory Reset and wipe any cache partition. Then select Reboot System Now and you should be good to go.

I haved rooted stock rom. But i just unrooted and put same unrooted stock rom with mobile odin. Tried factory restart and cache clear.
Phone boots normaly and show network signal, but can't call or recive calls. Say "not registered". I tried to manualy choose operater but nothing.
My IMEI number is original but serial number is 000000.. When call myself from another phone it is not out service but S3 not show call.

What I can do? Update firmware?

First of all try unbackup EFS(in G-play there are some tools,i prefer K-Tool).If there is more issues try custom ROM with patched modem and patched kernel. If you prefer read this: post 1441 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48578725#post48578725

I have stock rom. Can I restore efs folder with same method that keep unrooted phone?
I dont now what is problem, I used identicaly rom only unrooted.

Thanks, but this patch I must use every time I update phone. I haved rooted phone, but I want normal, unrooted phone to use updates.
Does anybody alse now how to fix? Maybe modem or update?
Does flashing new version of stock rom will help? Is efs backup just for IMEI problems or can help with s/n 0000?

why don't you try to just update your firmware to 4.3 (choose 4.3 stock roms) to quickly fix those issues.

I dont have official 4.3 for my country. Maybe same MG4 firmware?
Just root your s3 and then dpwnload XXEMG4 modem for s3 and apply that modem from recovery mode..it will be fixed..

If you did http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/orig-development/kernel-devil2-2-3-2-omni-cm-samsung-t2528624 the first flashers LOSE Their baseband too.
Try to read the thread on how they fixed the problem. Are you running on CM? Dual Boot?

Bump for me
Flash the full stock rom for your country with Odin then factory reset in recovery. If efs is not read by the stock rom then restore your efs backup.
No backup then you'll have to pay for a repair.

Can you suggest my what kind of repair need the phone in this situation?
Like if i find a shop now what i must say to the employer?
Just no network signal or there are a common statement for this problem?

If your IMEI is 0049 or null, try to use a patched MG4 modem first. Revolutionary roms don't have modem in them so that can cause some issues occasionally.

Hello There,
I think the problem is the rom itself, i advise you to degrade your phone to its stock rom/orig rom and find a better rom.

Ps there is a way to find what was the original ROM of the phone?
Ps the imei shown on the phone is the same of the one shown on the back of the phone
Is this a good thing? Means no corrupted imei?

- I would recommend never to post imei anywhere
- If the imei matches then all's ok.
- Stock rom depends on the country. You can search on sammobile and flash with Odin. 4.3 not recommended if you like flashing roms.

I have Galaxy S3 9300 international (Hungary).
After new rom (blekota note 4 lite) my phone can't register on my local provider (Vodafone). Im from hungary.
I try two modems: XXUGND1 and XXUGNA8 but not works.
I try to full wipe and another rom (efextreme lite), but nothing.
I try to select manually provider and change gsm to wcdma but nothing.
Update:
my imei number is okay not 00049….
What is wrong?
