Pls help!
I have Galaxy S3 9300 international (Hungary).
After new rom (blekota note 4 lite) my phone can't register on my local provider (Vodafone). Im from hungary.
I try two modems: XXUGND1 and XXUGNA8 but not works.
I try to full wipe and another rom (efextreme lite), but nothing.
I try to select manually provider and change gsm to wcdma but nothing.
Update:
my imei number is okay not 00049….
What is wrong?
Pls help me :crying:
Flash stock firmware, 4.3 then factory reset.

I try it. Is there any stock 4.3 rom what can i install from Philz touch recovery? Or i need Odin?

Hi Everyone.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2
Kernal WXLP4 optus firmware.
I rooted the phone and stupidly let my son play with it and he has deleted important firmware apps such as Touch whiz and other things that are making my phone almost unusable.
Unfortunately there is no firmware repair on kies so i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on what to do. I did a factory reset and it does not restore these important firmware files unfortunately.
Any help would be great.

Flash a new firmware using odin..try read other thread on how to flash stock firmware/rom..

Dude ru sure u have s2 "G" version with u for getting stock kernal u need to download new firmware from sammobile.com/firmware nd type in search I9100G or I9100 if u are having that nd flash through odin the firmware u dpwnloaded shld be selected as pda for dwnlding firmware u shld have a a/c on sammobile.com
Note: odin v 3.85 for G version

I have samsung galaxy s2 i9100. and whenever i switched to 4.2.2 with CM rom. 3G didnt work at all. i posted a thread but no answers. so i dont know how to downgrade a version.i tried flashing with odin but didnt work. so what are the steps that i need to downgrade?

download neatrom lite 4.7.zip and format data/system/preload/cache partitions in recovery. and flash the neatrom zip from recovery and reboot. it includes modem, kernel and rom.

Hi Fractrox,
Did you do a factory reset after flashing CM rom? If yes, try adding the APNs again under
Settings-> More-> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names, followed by a reboot.
For downgrading , you can find stock rom from sammobile for s2. The latest released is 4.1.2.
Check your location and flash the one for your country so that you get the correct modem file which will help fixing the 3G connection issues.

i was going to say flash a stock rom via odin, but he said he has had no luck with odin?
and he says he is running cm10.1 already so i know he has cwm, thats why i said neatrom lite...as its less bloated and is rooted, with philz kernel etc,

i have downgraded from cm10.1 to neatrom many times.
good luck.
just remember to format system/preload/cache and data..and then flash neatrom lite from your sd card. let me know if you need any more help.
i'll be on xda for about another hour, then i have to go.
Didn't work. I downgraded but there was no 3G or ROM only kernel. and why does 3G works with stock ROM as the other guy said?

First of all try unbackup EFS(in G-play there are some tools,i prefer K-Tool).If there is more issues try custom ROM with patched modem and patched kernel. If you prefer read this: post 1441 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48578725#post48578725

I have stock rom. Can I restore efs folder with same method that keep unrooted phone?
I dont now what is problem, I used identicaly rom only unrooted.

Thanks, but this patch I must use every time I update phone. I haved rooted phone, but I want normal, unrooted phone to use updates.
Does anybody alse now how to fix? Maybe modem or update?
Does flashing new version of stock rom will help? Is efs backup just for IMEI problems or can help with s/n 0000?
Any help?
why don't you try to just update your firmware to 4.3 (choose 4.3 stock roms) to quickly fix those issues.

I dont have official 4.3 for my country. Maybe same MG4 firmware?
Just root your s3 and then dpwnload XXEMG4 modem for s3 and apply that modem from recovery mode..it will be fixed..

Yes, I want stock unrooted rom that works and update. I used a lot custom roms on another phone, my old htc

I know how to flash, I used mobile Odin because haved problem with usb port.
Flashed what I thought was a generic rom to a samsung galaxy s3 i9300 using odin. I downloaded what I thought was a generic rom but in fact, it was a vodafone UK rom. The phone was bought sim free from phones 4 u and it needs to go back. The rom version when the phone was bought was 4.1.2 Jelly Bean so I need to install a generic rom. Its also coming up on samsung kies with " your device current firmware is not supported kies". I dont think that when I take it in to be fixed that they will plug the phone into samsung kies but they will check the binary counter which is now clear because I have flashed it with the vodafone rom. I know there are older roms but I would appreciate it if someone can link me up to a generic rom. Any help and advice with this will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance guys :good:

I update my samsung galaxy s3 from 4.0.4 ICS to 4.3 JB using Odin3 and it is successful. after it restarted i saw emergency calls only, btw im from philippines. my sim card works fine i inserted it on my other phone. My samsung galaxy s3 have same imei as i check on the back of my phone,as i dial *#06# and as i check to about device. i dont know what to do please help me

i suggest you flash 4.1 Rom first . something to do with EFS partition. EFS1 and EFS2 somethinfg like that. i think thats what causing this problem.
if possible flash 4.1 ROM first and then flash 4.3
