Making folders in gallery app? - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way to make folders in the gallery app so that I can move pictures into it?

Use which ever folders suit you in file explorers and then.when in gallery app swipe from the left and choose folder view.

Just to mention that if you have other media files lile mp3 in the same directory, creating .nomedia file will render them inivisible to other applications as well.
Or hide it pro, free from market, great app, even app itself is disguised

Question about the gallery.

In the gallery, when I tilt the phone, the thumbnails tilt with it making it very difficult to select the desired picture.
I managed to disable this in the app drawer when moving an app around but I can't find a way to disable it in the gallery.

Folders in app drawer

I must be having a brain fact here... On my wife's S4, I created a folder in the app drawer. I *thought* I could then drag apps into it to (temporarily) organize things. When I try and drag an app, it ghosts the main screens to let me drop it there.
How do I drop them in the folder I just created? Can I?

D'oh, figured it out! After creating the folder, you have to put app drawer in "edit" mode.

You deleted the file where?
If you are trying to paste it where are you copying from?
What phone and Rom do you have?
Here is an original accuwheatherphone.apk system file if you need it from the i527m version, as i see by your signature you have the GT-I9205 version if this is correct, they should be the same file i am thinking and you can try it if you like. :good:

If you have the apk file in your system/apps already, look in the widgets as this is were it will show..if the weather is not showing on your home screen you have to add it like you add a widget as this is the way i had to do it as i also tried that transparent weather apk that did not work for me, it should work with a reboot..but it might have to be added like a widget in case the rebooting part does not work.

What do you mean 'you have to add it like you add a widget'? The widget also not showing at the widget drawer. I dont know how to solve this problem. I tried many ways but dosent change anything.

Once you have the apk file copied back to the system/app folder it will show up in widgets..well it should after a reboot and you find it in widgets and hold your finger down on it and it should go to your home screen and then you release and it should be on your home page.
But if it is no showing up in the widgets drawer then that is weird..the weather apk file you have in system/apps folder is ithe permission set to rw-rw-r-- and you can use your root explorer to set the permission and reboot and see if it works then..if this does not work then I am kinda baffled on this.

Add app to edit options in quick app.

Just wondered if it's possible? When I click the menu button (3 little dots) and choose edit, it gives me the choice of 2 apps, I'd like to be able to select a different app?
Is it possible?

To clarify. I'm using QuickPic as my gallery app and want yo be able to select Photo Editor Pro to edit the pictures. At the moment if I choose edit it only gives me the QuickPic editor which is too basic for my needs.
