[MOD] NE5 Download Booster
This mod has only been tested on the stock NE5 DEODEXED roms only.
Adds Download Booster to the stock NE5 build.
NE5.Stock.Download_Booster.v2.zip <-- Deodexed Version
ODEXED-NE5.Stock.Download_Booster.v2.zip
^^ REUPLOADED ^^
Notes:
- Flash in recovery.
- Activate download booster in Settings/Connections.
- Wifi Tethering Hack included.
Credits to @townsenk for the ODEXED version.

Not right away. My odex guy is on vacation (really).
Hi Is this mod also suppose to have the wifi tether working? I tried it and it won't work, it says I'm not subscribed on NE5 Deodexed.

Thanks for this. It got me wondering. I flashed back to RDDT v1.0 and hotspot works great running the NE5 modem.

I'm on ne5 ROM that I slightly modded with DL mod then went got WiFi hotspot mod from forums installed that plus volume mod and all mods are working hotspot running great to that's my only internet so I wouldn't be in it with out hotspot

This one worked for me on NE5 deodexed..not sure if it works on odexed.

I can't get into settings. Just locks up on a black screen. Press home gets out of it.

What rom are you running? This is only compatible with NE5 and I'm using Philz recovery since TWRP is not working 100% with the NE5 build.
Twrp was working fine for me, I think. Should I switch to Philz?

TWRP won't restore an NE5 backup properly but it seems to work for everything else, even flashing the rom.
I keep both on SD and just use the 'reboot recovery' option so I can switch back and forth (while in recovery). TWRP is a lot easier to use but if you want full backup & recovery of NE5 you must use Philz.

It looks like USB Tethering is work with this as well.

Sorry if I ask in the wrong thread, as I'm new to the forum.
Please I have questions about my ROOTED Galaxy Tab 2 P5100 (3G) with the LATEST OMNIROM (4.4.4-20140819-p5100-nightly):
1) is it possible to install Touchwiz UX on it?
2) Is there a theme to install (like the white one in the original factory rom), as with my omnirom, it is a basic GUI?
3) Is it possible to activate (by some hidden option) the wifi hotspot? it was working before I decided to move to the omnirom. Note that the Bluetooth tethering still work for me.
If all this require to change from omnirom to other rom, what do you advice ?

2. IDK, never tried it on my P5110 as I liked Omni's UI

Thanks tetakpatak. But still i cannot use wifi hot-spot with any version of omnirom. Note that dit was working on thé stock ROM and other tethering work dell. Thanks fort advicing.

Mate, it definitely should work... but I own a Wi-Fi only version so I can't try myself.
Did you manage to setup the password? Or is it greyed out? If you aren't using any custom kernel, please try to create logcat while starting the wifi hotspot and post it in the ROM development thread for our developer, @Android-Andi
He might ask you for few more logs to debug the problem.
One more thing: did you instal totally clean way, after formatting all (including also /system)? It is very important for Kitkat ROMs.

The wifi hotspot SEEMS working, as it does not show any errors. But there is no wifi hotspot !
wifi connection To a router works well, USB tethering and Bluetooth tethering also Work. But there is no wifi HOTSPOT.
The problem started after I installed OMNIROM. And yes I did a clean installation

Thanks for the keyboard, too bad but it isn't compatible with multi dpi, I'm using 360dpi and the keyboard is very little on the left part.

The first one is the S6 keyboard and the 2nd is the S6 browser.

Already do by @Albe95 here. Many apps used all days on my S5 (G900F) and it work perfectly on BOD3 and BOI3.

Hi there...I've also tried XMultiWindow and it doesn't work...I've also heard of an app called MultiWindow Commander but it crashes to me...maybe you will be luckier ...be aware cause it's a paid version and it's on Play Store.
Would you be so kind and let me know when you find an working xposed module or multiwindow app? I'm currently on Boeffla Kernel, XtrestoLite v2.2 BOD3 Rom on my Samsung G900F! All the best!

You can always install xposed. There are many modules that can give you the option to do that and more. Such as APM+ and Gravity Box.

instructions are there bro i dont own n4 so cant help btw that is nice thread you have to decompile framework some other to make it work everything is in that thread..

Right now It's not possible on Odex ROM as it requires framework edit. Use custom ROM OR Third party app like this It won't replace stock power menu but you can access power menu with apk shortcut.
