hi guys,
I'm a complete noob to all this but i have read through the q and a section and the noob guide to rooting.
I am running 4.3 on a 19305 and attempted to flash with odin 3.09.
i first tried flashing with CF-Auto-Root-m3-m3zh-gti9305.tar
and later recovery-cwmtouch-6.0.4.7-i9305
both times ive got the pass message on odin but when i check root status with root checker it says no access.
since i tried to flash i now get what i think are Knox alerts telling me its blocking things that are trying to access root or something.
i've tried copying supersu on to my sd card and installing from there and that hasn't helped.
If i put my phone in to download mode now this is what i see,
Odin mode
Product name GT-19305
Custom Binary Download: yes (6 count)
Current Binary: custom
Knox warranty void: 1
AP SWREV: AR
Can anyone tell me what to try next
thanks guys
Best ask in the i9305 q&a section, this is for the i9300. Anything from here could brick your phone.

Hi, I've a Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100G.
It is rooted with kernel superatoms v3.0 XXLA1 with the Odin process.
The Binary Count is 3 and it has CWM mode.
It is in warranty period in today's date
Now, I want to replace it with I9100 as it has a bad compatibility of apps. But they say that the warranty is voided when you root your phone. Also, the Binary Count must be 0 in order to give it for repair or replacement.
Now, the question is - in simple words - I want to make it as new as it was before unpacking. I think I have to unroot it and all.
So, the request is to tell me the steps to make it a new I9100G so that I'd have no problem using the warranty.
Use a usb jig to reset your binary counter. Flash stock firmware and a stock kernel, this will remove the cwm/root. Do a factory reset. Good luck.

Really appreciated your help dude. But what if I only flash the stock firmware, I think the kernels, ROMS and all are bundled in this process.
Well, thanks... I have clicked the Thanks button

It completely depends on the firmware package. Some have the kernels packed within them, but some do not.

Ya thnx dude. I must tell you that i know the rules perfectly. Infact, I was going to post it in the QA forum but i wanted a discussion over it and thus clicked the 'Yes this thread is a question' mark.
SIMPLE!!!
Can I use the jig for I9100 ???
By the way, can I use any jig whose plug is compatible with my G's port??
Can I use the jig made for I9100?
Or do I have to scratch my head for and search for a I9100G USB JIG?
This message is for people who have rooted/flashed their Samsung Galaxy S3. I need help please. I followed the steps in the video How to Root Samsung Galaxy S III [its the first video suggestion] and I got up to 3:44. Instead of it saying pass, it said "RESET!" The picture says it all. I had to unplug the phone and turn it back on because it turned off but for some reason odin did not reboot it. Now everytime I try to turn it on it goes to the SAMSUNG screen for 2 seconds and shuts off. The only thing I can access is download mode. I'm a major noob when it comes to rooting/flashing. The settings in download mode say:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SCH-R5830U
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (6 counts)
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
Can someone please help me? PLEASE. It would be great if I could get a reply by tonight.
Update your details of instalation and stuff please

It won't let me go to recovery mode. The only thing I can access is Download Mode.I think the problem is that I flashed it with the i9300, which is different from my device. I do not want to root my phone, I want to delete any file that I downloaded into it. My binary is custom and my system status is official. How do I fix this?
Download and flash stock firmware for your phone. You can't reset the flash convert though.

to find your software for your phone go to Sammobile click on the firmware tab Close the anoying Add Click on Firmware and files and follow through the instructions to your phone, for the $10 cost its worth buying access to the hotfile down load then flash via odin MAKE SURE IT IS FOR YOUR PHONE OR YOUR PHONE WILL MAKE A NICE PAPER WEIGHT

Hard to understand you.
USB debug is unimportant, you are going to wipe the phone and flash a stock ROM via odin on your PC.
I can't be bothered to link, sorry.
well thx for information -.- but ok wipe that suck bcuz i have alot stuff on my phoneand i cant find the right treath i dont want to 100% break it with wrong informations
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2344125
Stickied guides read the how to flash stock rom or how to return to stock if you do not know how to use Odin
All your stuff should be saved on your Nandroid backup .
actualy boomboomer you are wrong , i simply reinstalled an offical firmware andit works again, no wipe and stuff needed, just have to reinstal kernal and the root ,
JJEgan thx but i found a simple gui on the net witch told me to reinstall a offical firmware
now new qustion
whats nowdays best kernel for sgs 3 ? i dont had problems with siyath though but dunno about all those new once i saw

All kernels are as safe as each other, so long as you're flashing current releases on the right rom

ive been looking for offical roms , but it seems i flashed the wrong one since i have 4.2.1 w/ kernel 3/0/31 171637 offical, but if im correct this is a leak right ? and i cant find many roms for this version
Alright I'll just start from the beginning since this is just a long chain of ****ery
Rooted my GS3
Installed TWRP
Installed Carbon-JB-NIGHTLY-20130824-0816-D2VZW which is a 4.3 JB rom.
Attempted to install Revolutionary S5 V3 and KK gapps package at the same time.
Hard bricked my phone.
Used this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581166&highlight=system+software+not+authorized to get my phone to get to Odin.
When attempting to boot phone outside of Odin it just stated that it was running not supported software (unlocked padlock that says custom)
Went onto Samsung and downloaded a Stock 4.3 rom and flashed that with Odin.
Started phone up and was unable to use terminal emulator (no root) to continue with fixes in above thread.
Attempted to root using saferoot, unsuccessfully (updated kernel can't do it).
Attempted to root using CF-Auto-Root-m0-m0xx-gti9300, unsuccessfully.
Attempted to root using Kingo, unsuccessfully.
I do have Samsung Knox :crying:
So now that you're all up to speed to where I'm at, long story short, I need root access on this phone. It has no power button so I lock the screen with a root gesture control app. The back and menu buttons are non functioning so I use a custom UI that adds a back and menu button to the screen. Can ANYONE give me a way to get root back on this frankenstein of a phone? I've never changed a kernel before and I supposed that'd be my next step since I can't saferoot with the kernel I currently have and any thread that explains how I would go about doing it at my current state of ****ery
All help appreciated!

You are in the wrong forum and flashing the wrong files for your phone model, hence why you've bricked it and nothing works.

Samsung Mega SGH-I527 STUCK IN BOOTLOOP
Hi guys... How are you? This is the first time i have ever posted to a forum so I'm sorry if its a bit scattered...
okay i got a AT&T Mega SGH-I527 for free in its current state... so i don't know any of the info except what i can see which is :
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME : SGH-I527
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1 <---Dose this matter if i don't care about the warranty?
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0x30
BOOTLOADER RP SWREV: 4
WRITE PROTECTION: Enable
its stuck in a bootloop, I can put it in download mode.
Now these steps kinda worked i think lol
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-mega/general/stock-odin-firmware-i527-4-4-2-t2835136
seam to work as far as Odin being able to access it and try to install those files i downloaded which are :
AP_I527UCUBNE7_1711751_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
BL_I527UCUBNE7_1711751_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
CP_I527UCUBNE7_1711751_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
CSC_ATT_I527ATTBNE7_1711751_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
i also tried to a PIT file not sure which one it was tho file name is:
Samsung_I527_PIT.PIT <--- this is one is 4.75kb
that just tells me " SECURE CHECK FAIL: PIT
now all theses seam to take meaning they pass according to Odin but it reboots and just goes back into the bootloop...
now when i did try theses files it did something it didn't do before it gave me a little blue tag at the top saying "RECOVERY BOOT..."
then it just loops again... I'm not really sure what my question is and I'm sorry so i guess I'm just asking if anyone can tell me whats happening? do i keep trying to work it out or should i just recycle the phone? i cant help to think that there life here tho...
I know y'all have been over this a thousands of time but it all kinda mind numbing... any kinda advice would be cool thanks...
Simple. DONT USE THE PIT FILE AND DONT WIPE THE PARTITIONS.

okay i tied all the files without the PIT and they all passed... but on each one after its completed and passed (Odin)
and restarts. It just goes to the Samsung galaxy mega screen (first one) then it vibrates twice and reboots again. NOTHING FAILS THO.
and suggestions for me ?
Flash each ODIN file one at a time. The AP file and the BL have a PIT built in, so you shouldn't have to manually parse it.
FYI I was able to obtain root on my SGH-I537 and I'm now trying to export that method to the SGH-i527, but it's proving to be difficult. Will keep yall posted!

The Mega other than Root is Dead.
No bootloader unlocked and No One is working on it.
I myself have moved to the Nexus 6.
I still have the Mega rooted only for the big screen but out of all the Mega forums.
and I will not see your reply because I'm will not subscribe to any Mega forum.
My advice, keep the mega rooted if you like but move out to other phone.
Tha it no more lov for the mega
i think the most important downgrading is DONT TICK REPARTITION.
becaus will make your phone hardbrick and doestn have power at all
and knock bootloader is never cant be downgrade
Please Update the link of the twrp recovery and knox off
My SGH i527 Galaxy Mega from ATT is bricked after trying to update to KK. I have a bootloop on Samsung Galaxy Logo. Now I don't have recovery. The only thing I can to do is to get in Download Mode.
I can't get back to JellyBean. I have tried using Odin to Flash Many recoveries but everything failed. Please, help me, I am tired of seraching and downloading ROMS and customs recoveries for nothing......
PLEASE, I just need a recovery and AnyRom that Can work ....
Thank you in advance.
