Hi
I would force a manual update of google play services on my xperia tablet z but i´m not sure which version i should take?
In this post http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...densities-and-the-rest-of-this-weeks-updates/ there are different versions for different dpi types - i think the 240 dpi version is right for the tablet - what do you think?
You're really much better off waiting for a proper update...

Hi, I currently own the Sony Tablet P Japanese model. The thing is that I actually brought it so I could play Crash Bandicoot on it. Well, to my surprise Crash Bandicoot was not pre-installed into it. It has a golf game pre-install in place of Crash Bandicoot. I was wondering since the Sony Tablets got rooted now, would there be a way for me to get Crash Bandicoot?
I am actually quite new to the Android scene being the Sony Tablet P as my first Android device, so I hope you could forgive me for my ignorance.
Crash is on the Playstation store and does'nt require root, here in the UK it was available as a free download but can now be purchased.
Hope this helps

Thanks a lot for the info, but I am afraid I currently live in Japan. I do not have access to the UK PS store. I have access to the US PS store and also the Japanese PS store and both of these stores do not have Crash available. At least since the last time I have checked it... f^^;
If Crash is on the UK PS store, I do have the option of making a UK PS store account... But I do not have a credit card or any other means into putting credit into a UK PS store account.
Could be a problem then, I have no idea how to get round that one, although I have seen other people in other forums presented with the same problem and have seen some very inventive solutions about account access - mostly in PS Vita forums - you could try looking here :-

Best of luck
you can search the apk file on the internet and install it on your tablet

Thanks for the advice, but I guess my question for this is that would the Crash Bandicoot apk file be different than the one that is on the Sony tablets? The reason I ask is because I seem to be about to find many Crash Bandicoot apk files and they are usually dated from before the Sony Tablets were released. (If I am not mistaken) I just want something compatible, I wouldn't like the idea of the game crashes or the controls are buggy. But anyway thanks for the info, I will give it a try when I have time and see how it goes.
i think those apk files are for play.... so the date are eariler

Officially, Google Play is the market you should use.
If you install applications from other sources, you run the risk of installing trojans and other viruses.
It has several other sites that offer applications that are in the same Google Play, but may contain problems.
Be aware of this.
Thanks guys but am looking for more markets
if u know other good markets please name them here
Hi All,
When i was recently in the US i was given an HTC EVO VIEW. I have now taken it back with me to the UK but unsurprisingly my Google Play application is the US version. I am using the same Google Play account as i do on my Xperia Neo which is the UK version so the account isn't the problem.
I have factory reset the device in the UK and the 'Android Market' app that is preinstalled is still the US version (and so is the 'Google Play' app that it is updated into) which means that some apps are not available, some say they are not compatible due to location, and everything is in $$$ instead of £££.
I would greatly appreciate it if anybody knows of, or could work out, a solution. I am a bit of a novice at this so a bit more of an explanation may be needed than the avaerage person on these forums would require.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi,
I've had a search on the forums for the answer but I mustn't be wording my search properly.
I have an HP Touchpad running Cyanogen and logged to Google Play with my usual username. I've just installed Cyanogen on my Xperia Arc and logged in with the same Google Play username - now my phone has started downloading all the apps that are on my Touchpad.
Can anyone tell me how to stop this happening please?
I guess I should mention that when I had Cyanogen on my Touchpad and stock on my Xperia Arc the two devices were treated separately and I could have different apps on each one. I'd really like them to be treated separately again.
Thanks!

Hi,
I recently bought an android phone from overseas (China) and when I was trying to set it up I noticed that there are no Google Play services meaning there is no Play Store, Music etc, I can't sync my contacts or emails and do a lot of the stuff associated with Google.
The Phone is an HTC Desire 5088 (I think its the Chinese version of the Desire 510) running Android 4.1.2. I really just want to install all the Google services so that the phone runs like a regular android phone.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Also I know this may be the wrong place to post this but would anyone be able to point me in the right direction as to how to root the device? I have tried looking everywhere but can not find anything.
Thank you.
Maybe this is due to ban on google in china.
Solution could be to root the device and flash gapps package.
Even better would be to find a chinese forum for your device and see how those guys do it.
Use google translate of course.
