So I am trying to follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344 this tutorial to unbrick, but I believe my debugging mode is off and since I can't boot into the phone, the KDZ flash gets stuck at 15%. Any ideas on what to do?
Do You connect phone in software update mode (w/o battery press vol-up and connect usb, than connect battery)?

Yes I tried this. It doesn't work. Stops at 15%. Says the phone isn't connected even though it is.
If the phone can run update mode than it's not bricked (correct me please if i am wrong). I had some issues lately with recovering firmware on windows 8.1 and finally i did this on w7. Maybe try other pc?

It can get into S/W upgrade mode perfectly fine. I am doing this on a Windows 7 but I will try my windows 8 ASAP
install drivers, connect LG in SW mode - 3 devices should be installed, than go with update with lgmobile support tool.

With this tool? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2601480
I tried and it continues to say device not found. Do I go into S/W upgrade mode?
No not that tool. Use lelus script for flashing those files in fastboot and then go into s/w upgrade.

Hey,I was having this exact same problem and I did what you said and got the fastboot drivers. Now when I try to flash a rom it passes 15%,but disconnects somewhere around along the way(after the analysis that is).I've noticed that when this happens my phones sceen goes from S/W mode to a blank screen(or maybe it's turned off). In any case,I disconnect my phone when this happens and do the steps to put it back into S/W mode and click Restart and it just keeps giving me that same error. When I start anew after putting the phone back into S/W mode it does the same exact thing at perhaps a different percentage and/or a different stage.Any ideas? Also, one time the screen on my phone stayed on throughout the entire process up until 96% of the final stage and it turned off,but it still continued to 100% and gave me the completion screen.Any thoughts about what I can do?So far I'm just doing this again and again, seeing if maybe one time it won't disconnect on me.
Edit: I just did what this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2119090 told me to do.Was I supposed to do something else?

hi all. i was trying to unlock bootloader with rom toolkit, and something went wrong.
tried hard reset with power, volume and home keys, nothing.
tried to go into software upgrade to reflash kdz, nothing.
when i plug in phone, computer just beeps like it's mounting and unmounting really quickly.
lg mobile updater says phone not hooked up. it just goes "duh duh duh duh, then the sound windows makes when you unplug usb device.
i thought this was unbrickable. hehe, leave it to me.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had the same problem, but this guide helped me a lot!
Download LG Mobile Support Tool and do the following steps:
..1. Remove the battery and the USB cable from phone.
..2. Without the battery, plug the USB cable and connect the PC to the phone with USB cable.
..3. Press and hold (VolumeUp) key and press (Power) key for 2/3 secs. You should see "S/W Upgrade" on the screen after a few seconds.
..4. Re-insert the battery in the phone.
..5. Start LG Mobile Support Tool(B2CAppSetup.exe), let it find the phone (and load drivers) and start the software update.
IMP: This method is online Software upgrade mode and faster internet will be required which will download around 500+mb file while recovering. So be prepared pals.

I believe this is actually a Windows issue. Disconnect the phone. Right click computer, manage, device manager. Scroll down and start deleting "usb root hub(s)" at the bottom. Don't fret when the mouse control goes away. Once they are gone, reboot, and let them reinstall..
Then try again.

Can you give us link to this toolkit thread?
I used this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2221102
and it went with no problems.
Waiting for device means that you doesn't have installed fastboot drivers installed correctly.
If you want to unlock it successfully then follow guide step by step. Make sure to wait 30min if you won't you may lock it permanently.

But your phone is using JB or ICS? Because in offline flashing, the computer won´t detect the phone if JB (volUP+cable). In ONLINE flashing, don´t matters.
If your phone is in JB, the easiest way to flash is (assuming your phone is operational):
- power on the phone
- insert the cable
- in USB connection type, choose LG software
- start the flash software in PC
- the phone will automagically reboot in software download mode, and the computer will detect this manner.

Online flashing is a bit tricky, best try as a last resort. You are not given choice, it only restores your factory version, based on your IMEI, and downloads the entire KDZ over the internet. I already done that two times, but I dont't know if LG servers are blocking the KDZ download now (hear that). But it will recognize your phone, regardless of ICS or JB.
If your phone is JB and it's bootlooping, then OMAP4BOOT is the way to go.
Just install the drivers, fastboot and flash the ICS xloader and uboot. Then your phone will be recognized by VolUP + cable insert.

I fixed it using online flashing, it was waay easier then you've implied.
I used the online flashing upTestEX thing I found in an old folder by chance on my usb flashdrive
I had a choice on my kdz and my phone is fully functional again.
Thanks anyway
Do you have an idea of a good custom rom I should try, other than cm, what is a relaly stable one.

About roms, I flashed many but always return to stock (can't live without the FM radio), maybe one stock based might be a good choice.

No responses to Emergency mode flashing by KDZ?
Try at least with HARD RESET... Hold Power Key + Volumen Down key + Home key
When LG logo appears, release all the keys! Good luck!

First, there is no such thing as hardbrick (not anymore, most modern phones cant be hardbriked )
Be sure, u have all the drives and whatnots installed in the copmuter !
from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2730501
[Q] How to install a .kdz?
[A] (Tutorial thanks to @[W]ar[H]ead, confirmed working by TaZRAge)
#1) First to get into download mode:
1. Remove battery
2. Put usb to computer and phone (w/o battery)
3. Hold "Vol up" button
4. Put battery back
You will get into download mode (aka emergency mode).
#2) Unpack kdz flasher, and install msxml.msi.
#3) Run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe set "type" to 3GQCT and "phonemode" to DIAG.
#4) Choose the .kdz file to flash. Download link is under the "Downloads"
#5) Click "Launch software update" and wait. Phone must be connected in download mode(!). KDZ installer might get stuck but DO NOT disconnect it. (Unless it stays that way for a hour as a example)
NOTE: .kdz is a .kdz, you cannot extract it. If you get a .zip from the LG .kdz site you did something wrong.

You don't know what you are saying. You can HARDBRICK ANY modern device. By definition hardbrick means phone won't turn on won't respond and in some cases recognized as usb when connected to pc as usb bulk or qcom usb. etc. You damage the second bootloader and tell me what happens. You will see what you get.

first this is offtopic. Second, u are wrong ! Unless the phone is pshisicaly damaged (misfuctioning components or damaged), u cant hardbrick the phone with uploading different soft. on it (unless u change voltages and overclok, if that is possible on the device). Ofecourse they are exceptions, but all major modern manufactors, make hardbrick proof devices. Also, how exactly would u modify the emergency mode, and more important even if you could, why wold u do it !?
More on to the topic, none of the operations of rooting, bootloader installing, kdz install or CMx install , gets near the emergency mode. It remains intact.
Just retry all normal steps for installing kdz or recovery again, check the cables, all drivers on pc, and is best to have a charged phone battery.
EDIT: @kikobuendia

No, no luck yet. Seems to be impossible.
I connect to this post cuz my d605 is also facing a similiar issue, no system, no recovery, no adb, download mode worked only twice, for the rest, only emergency mode works, phone cannot even charge.
Phone is recognized from pc, I uninstalled modem drivers but stays in Emergency only few seconds then it shuts down (not sure if its the battery, since it doesn't charge as well). It shuts down actually at the moment that LG mobile support tool seems to recognize it.
It worked couple of times, phone was keeping staying in emergency mode for the beginning of the procedure but at the moment it need to put the kdz into the phone, the phone die.
The two times download mode worked, same, just shutting down immediately. This with LG support tool or LG flashtool2014.
KDZ_FW_UPD worked the first time after install and then doesn't run anymore, on two different Win10 machines.
I have no idea how to come out of this nightmare, just want to flash it :/

well, sorry for not replying earlier. My phone was on guarantee for about 2 months after I wrote the post. I just send it to LG Hellas via the e-shop I bought it from and in about 2-3 weeks, I had my D605 back like it was brand new. I searched a lot about my D605 hard bricked and I found that it is not fixable. My phone could not go into download mode though, as yours. Hope I helped you even a lil bit. Sorry for my bad English.
Hay guys,
I got a big problem, yesterday I tryed to downgrade my brothers LG P760 and made a big misstake.
When I tryed to go into 'recovery mode', I just used the wrong keys (VOL DOWN + HOME + POWER ON/OFF). Now my phone doesn't boot up anymore, it just hangs at the LG bootlogo. I can go into 'S/W Mode' and into 'Fastboot Mode', but if I go into 'Fastboot Mode' my decive driver is hangs in a loop. Hanging all day and night to fix this problem, but I can't do anything.... I hope anyone can help me!
Windows OS: Windows 10
Phone: LG P760
ROM: CM 12.1
Thanks a lot!

Yea, this is the last tool I used and it went fast as nothing else yet, but while flashing the stock firmware it doesn't continue at 60% and saying "Verifying phone connection...".
And does it work with Windows 10?
Thanks for your help!
Fastboot & L9 & Win10 ain't good for me, too.
But D/L mode is more basic and thus more reliable. And there are basically two ways to unbrick, online with the official LG tool, and with LG Flash Tool 2014 and a KDZ image. Only the first option works without problems for me.

Yea, I also think it's the Windows 10 which makes problems, I can't get any driver installed for this P760.
So I can just download the official lg support tool and try it this way?
EDIT: And btw... I did exactly the second step already and had also problems. I didn't did the D/L mode step yet. Can you explain how it works, I don't know how to come into D/L mode.
Thanks!
In da other Thread! In D/L mode the phone should get recognized by LG driver and a virtual com port be installed. LG software only works with LG drivers, and they sometimes don't recognize the phone, except in D/L mode.
Fir other purposes the Google SDK usb drivers are best, but then there's the Fastboot issue. But ADB should work.

The 'LG Mobile Support Tool' says that the right firmeware is already installed and then he is starting to download V20O with 599,15MByte. But the thing is, that the phone will just go out of the S/W mode while the 'LG Mobile Support Tool' is downloading the V20O. After the phone switched off, my driver is looping and always saying it can't recnogrize it. It does it like 20 times and then the phone will go on and LG logo appears. Nothing more.... :/
My P760 never quit D/L mode before or during download. Afterwards LGs recovery may appear, which calls itself something like Service Mode. This is not good, though the stock rom should initially work, but there are problems when rooting etc. In such a case leave phone connected and flash a second time. The phone should reboot to the launcher, if successful.
Dears, I was (was) getting excited about the Oreo upgrade for our Z3 Tablet and I started the needs by following the related thread but when I flashed the boot.img........ after that, Windows started to recognize it as "Unkno w USB Device (Configuration Description Request Failed).
Now it doesn't boot anymore and it is not recognized by the system. I tried also from another PC with Windows 10 but same result....
How can I fix it?

thanks, I tested it also under macOS... it's hard brick. There is any way to bring it at life?
Thanks for your support
Can you boot in fastboot mode? Or is your device not recognized in fastboot mode? If you can you can try flashing stock firmware with Flashtool. If not, I can't help you any further :crying:
