I tried both the DooMKernel v08 then tried the Z2-DooMLoRD_StockFirmwareFiles-FW_402
I couldn't figure out for life of me what I'd done but followed everything to the 'T'. I ended up installing a custom rom HERE and now phone is working, but now I'm not sure if I'm rooted or not!

OK what you need to do is either flash a .55 kernel or flash a .402 firmware. The kernel must fit the firmware version.

Got it I think Although the phone does appear to be running ok with the custom rom.
If using the information on the attached screenshot of my About Phone info, would you be able to suggest a kernel or firmware, I can't make sense of the kernel version.
Sorry for being a pain, not as easy as rooting the S3

Hello,
I dont know IF posting in the right place, but I searched the whole forum for a proper answer how to "unbrick" my boot loop-ed Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830..
Now I've tried installing several firmwares using Odin multi downloader v4.83 but none of them helped me, after all I cant access Recovery Mode!
I can acess Download mode, Emergency Dmod (arm9) and RAMDUMP (arm9)
I have: Android 2.3.3 GingerBread on T-Mobile Carrier (Hungary)!
How did I get here: rooted with SuperOneClick 2.3.2 and used an app for unlock (Galaxy Ace Unlock.apk) witch was probably the main source of the problem... Had no problems until I decided to reboot, rebooted successfully, the problem I had then was No carrier, then tried a second reboot and ever since then I'm stuck into a boot loop with no access whatsoever to RECOVERY MODE.
After installing firmware and waiting the 5 minutes in Odin, my device reboots intro a boot loop after about 2:32 min and nothing can be done furthermore...
I've serched the forum and found that data.rfs is missing in the firmwares... maybe that the source of the problem to... I dont know...
Please help me fix this problem!! Thank you!

You'll just have to keep flashing roms via Download Mode until one works (try flashing the stock rom).
P.S.: Your device has it's own forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1164.

You have done everything you could and it's still not fixed (even the things other people did when they had the same problem - it worked for them, but not for you), so warranty is the only other way to get it fixed (or at least replaced).

Thank you for the help Theonew! Appreciate! I've taken it into warranty service, hopefully they wont find my device inappropriate for free service, and so I dont have to pay for it...
The only problem is that I have to wait at least 8 days untill I get it back..
Anyway, I've researched this Galaxy Unlock apk. and it seems thats the main source of the problem.
Thanks again!
Hey
I wanted to install this ROM on my Xperia Neo.
I followed the Instructions. After I delete everything with CWM and install the new ROM I restart my phone through CWM.
Now for my problem:
After that all I get is a black screen! But it's not only black and dark, it is lit. So the background light is on. But that's pretty much it. Tried leaving it like that for some time, but it did not change anything. I had it like that for around 30 min.
After some research I found this thread, but that did not help me either.
So I am pretty confused right now and do not know what to do.
I would really appreciate some help. Oh, and I can get into Fastboot mode and Flashmode...
Greetings,
Krytos.
Try flashing stock firmware with flashtool. I don't know if that will help, I'm just saying.

But I would really like to have the MIUI ROM on my Neo.
Do you guys think, that my problem was a one time thing, or could it happen again?
Greetings,
Krytos.
So I installed the ROM again, and same problem. WTF is wrong with it... Any1 else having problems?
There are a few other MIUI ROMs for Neo, why not to try one of them?
So, I got Cyanmod now. It worked like a charm, right away...

I suffered from scrolling cwm so i tried this fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27830023&postcount=41
It worked excellent but when i lock my screen and unlock it again it starts flickering like shown in this video: http://youtu.be/P6fMxjFdpJE
I have tried to do factory resets both from recovery and flash an original firmware. Nothing works.
Is it possible to get this fixed or am i screwed?

When you tried the fix noted above, I assume the screen didn't roll when you rebooted then into CWM recovery. At that point did you flash a ROM and THEN reboot to find the flicker after locking the screen, or did you do a reboot back into the same stock HC after flashing the bootloader and experience the problem?
I'm contemplating flashing this same bootloader because I have a rolling CWM5.5.0.4 right now and I want to stabilize it - but just so that I can root...not thinking about a ROM just yet...
Just to inform you all, i also had to flash a different bootloader after installing cm9 on my p7511, wich is in fact a 7510. For the records, pershoot made the new bootloader for exactly that issue, not backwards. But seems to work also.
What i deal now with, is that after flashing the uk ics for p7510 to my tab, the stock recovery doesn't recognize my sdcard. Can't mount sdcard...
Could be that a repartitioning with pit file will be necessary afterwards for us all.
Edit: thanks to the wise help of msedek, i know by now that my hind was totaly wrong. My mentioned point has to do with the Changes within stock recovery of ics, which have been made to prevent changes from there.
Getting more confident..
OK so it is sounding like this is definitely better. One more question:
I'm following the stickied root guide in General and that method uses CWM 4.0.0.4...I had reflashed that version. If I want to flash this boot loader should I flash 5.5.0.4 first? Or does it matter if I'm just trying to root right now?
EDIT: Flashed the bootloader which straightened out the recovery!! Successfully rooted after that. Downloaded root apps (ROM manager/Titanium/etc). Then turned off my screen - FLICKER CITY!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680738 <<< THIS fixed it. Load this kernel into the root of your tablet and flash it with CWM. Seems to have done the trick nicely and I'm exploring my newly rooted tab! My wife no longer wants to kill me either.

I have the same problem on my P7500 3G and the minute i load the bootloader to fix CWM recovery rolling i get the screen flickering after lock screen.
Rom: ICS 4.0.4

Kernel: 3.1.10
Still stuck.
Hi guys,
Gtab 10.1 Wifi here. Fix didn't worked, somehow...
After installing official ics from Samsung and rooted, i had the same insane flicker issue. I followed this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680738 - , flashed new kernel, and now i cant pass Samsung Galaxy Tab logo for some reason, not even past half an hour.
Im in a dead end, even tried installing back CM9 but it also wont pass the splashing blue screen.
Any ideas?
cheers!
EDIT : After some reboots, finally managed to boot into ICS (CM9) but now i was pushed back to the step 1, where I don't have a working camera, but I have root access and non official ICS from Cyanogen. I am afraid re-doing all my work and get stuck again in the scrambled screen after it updates the kernel..
I'm I missing something, guys?

sorry for not giving a fix until tomorrow,it's sleep time here,I know my excuse will be accepted because you all care for basic human needs...
But please inform me if that guide(Pershoot's) has fixed your problem, thanks for that

Make sure your phone is turned off.
Start Flashtool and click the lightening bolt at the top left and select 'FASTBOOT MODE'.
You should now see a new window of flashtool titled FASTBOOT TOOLBOX.
Plug in your phone while holding the Volume Up button
Back on flashtool: To the far right where it says 'By DOOMLORD', just below that the second option is 'Select Kernel to Flash', click it.
Browse for the .IMG file that you downloaded from the top of this post(which is the boot file for your phone to boot and let you into recovery).
Change the file type that's listed next to File Name at the bottom of the browse window, to .IMG
Select the .img file and it should flash automatically and tell you to check the log list shown right in flashtool before rebooting. If you don't see any errors then go ahead and unplug your device and boot it and try going into recovery.
You should be good to go now.

I think we need to see a log or screen grab of the output of flashtool when you try and flash a kernel and a FTF
I think "invalid argument" normally happens on a locked bootloader???

Help me anyone.
Today i wanted to update twrp on my z2
When rebooting the twrp-light (green) went on, i tried to access it, but it skipped.
Then i tried to flash a CWM-recovery to reflash and restore the backup.
Now i cannot acces that recovery either. It skips, goes to boot-logo and bootloop.
Hope anyone has a clue what happends and can help me. @Envious_Data, do you have an idea?

1. Bootloader is unlocked (needed for twrp)
2. Use flashtool and a FTF to recover your device
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56540642
This one is to be flashed to boot and is for unlocked bootloaders
The OP post one is to be flashed to fota

OMG, sorry for the early outburst.
I just kinda panicked.
Seems like you and I had the same way of thinking, cuz I just did so, and now restoring.
Hope it works.
EDIT: IT DID.
Yet again, sorry for panic. Just me worried about my phone.
