[Q] XT912M bootloop, failed flashing stock ROM - Motorola Droid RAZR

So, I started out by missing my alarms one morning because my razrmaxx was stuck in a bootloop... i've since gone back to an old Droid X to hold me over until i can figure out what's going on here.
Furthest i could get for the longest time was factory reset and wipe cache, but same result, phone would not boot past the droid 'eye' video (which played continuously until the battery died, i charged it back up and have been able to turn it off by performing a hard reset while connected to a PC)
in the last few days, i've tried flashing an official stock ROM for jellybean, but that failed, and bricked the phone. i got back to having a working recovery by using Droid RAZR Utility 1.82, which set me on 'stock 6.16.211'. immediately following that, i get the red moto logo, followed by the standing android with the dodecahedron spinning inside him (update screen) the progress bar below him hits max, disappears, then the screen goes black. phone restarts, red moto logo, then black... i'm pretty sure the phone is still on, because i get the 'connect/disconnect' tone on my PC... from this point, i've got all the recovery options, but i'm back at square 1... any ideas?

You should try the JB Droid Razr Utility and flash JB 4.1.2.I'm not certain with the utility verison but the system version you mentioned seems pretty old. I assume you were running the official 4.1.2, in that case any older build won't work/boot.

[Q] BMM boot fail

Guys
I've been checking this site for a while now. I own a Motorola Razr Maxx. I bought it when it still had GB on it, then I put the ICS leaked ROM on it, but the battery didn't seem to last that long. So a few days ago I decided to root my Razr, put SS3 on it, and I flashed the D-Wiz rom. I didn't really like the flaws it had, so I wanted to try FTS. Now the last versions of FTS could only be installed with BMM. So I uninstalled the recovery in SS3, uninstalled the program, and then put BMM on it. I loaded the FTS zip in BMM, rebooted, but it gave an error while installing, so the device rebooted, but It won't boot anymore. I tried the volupe up, down and power button to restart, but it just boots to the dualcore logo , and then gives me a black screen and the red LED sign.
How can I boot again into my stock rom?
I'm on a mac BTW
Thanks so much in advance. I feel like an idiot, because I can't turn my phone on again.
I hope you have installed the Hijack for BMM after the Rom, so you can still boot into Recovery (There was definitely an warning about it) If yes restore your Backup. If you got no Hijack (on boot option) or backup, then you'll have to get to an windows PC and flash the right sbf for your Phones Region with RSD.
Sent from my XT890
Edit: FIXED! I plugged in the power cable while holding both volume buttons, so I got into the recovery boot menu. I flashed the official SBF, and my phone is getting OTA updates. Thanks! I don't think I'll try custom roms again any time soon, especially when the standard ICS gives me great batterylife. Time will tell.
Id so give D-Wiz another chance. With D-Wiz and some battery management, ive got my year old stock Razr at 14-15 hours battery life.
Dont give up on ROMS just because you had to fix your phone, ive had to solder cables to provide power to a dead bricked phone and fastboot the system files.
ROMS rule, dont be scared. :3

[Q] Please Help! I was ripped off

I bought a Motorola Droid RAZR off of Craigslist. The ad said the phone was like new. I look at the phone and the screen shows where you can make an emergency call or to insert a SIM card. I did not have a SIM card to try out the phone but it looked good from the outside so I bought it. I get to the Verizon store to have it activated. I powered the phone off and started the reboot process. Well it never booted up. The Motorola logo came on the screen the it went to the Droid letters in white and its stuck there. I tried the factory reset and no luck. Can someone PLEASE guide me through the steps on trying to download and install the original software to see if the phone will boot up? I have downloaded Matt's utility and tried that. I started the phone in AP Fastboot. I ran the utility and pressed option 1 to install Jellybean. Everything seemed to go through ok. The phone started to reboot and the little green android guy was on the screen and the thing was spinning and installing files. Once it started to reboot after the install, it went back to being stuck on the Droid logo and thats it. I had plenty of battery when I tried to install the utility. I have a feeling I have to do more things in order to bring the phone back to life. I saw something about RSD Lite. I have no clue what steps to do. Can someone please explain the process to install the original software and get the phone back up and running. I really hate that I got ripped off and hoping someone in here can help me. Thanks in advance!!

First things first: what are the white letters saying? What is displayed, line by line, when you power it on?
EDIT
Do you still have access to the boot menu?

[Q] RAZR wont turn on

hi everyone, this is my first post. Ive installed CM10 on my galaxy s3 and my partners xt910. so grateful for these forums and the knowledge everyone has.
my problem is with the XT910. It has safestrap loaded onto it. I had the stock rom and a copy of CM10 on it. I tried to change the rom, not sure what one as it was a while ago) and after following the instructions and rebooting it, the phone no longer turns on. no lights flash, no vibrations, nothing. Im sure this has happened before, but i wasnt able to find specifically the same problem through searching he forums.
The phone is AUS
cheers for the help.
nobody is keen to help?
Details would help. At what point the problem occurred first?
Did your battery had sufficient charge.?
DROID RAZR with Tapatalk 4
ok so the problem started when i tried to reflash a new rom onto the XT910. ive noticed if i wiggle the charger, the white LED comes on then the Motorola logo appears. sometimes it shows the image of the battery charging at about 5%, then it turns off again. i think the battery had a fair bit of charge on it, but it was a while ago sorry for the vagueness. all i want to do at this stage is get it on and back to stock.
thanks
The battery drain indicates it could be stuck in a bootloop.

ok so how do i get it out of the bootloop? im not sure what your last sentance means
Boot into recovery mode, then plug your phone in to charge before attempting anything beyond this point. While your phone is charging read up on how to preform a factory reset. If that doesn't work you may have possibly soft bricked your phone. In which case you can recover using AP Fastboot.
vvvvv that last line below is my signature vvvvv

If you're not able to charge it, you might need a factory cable to flash fastboot files.

[Q] Deleted stock, won't boot

Hey guys. A friend of mine gave me a Motorola Droid RAZR XT912 which woudln't work with GSM networks to make it work. So I went here and used DROID RAZR Utility XT912 Jellybean to gain root. After that I installed Safestrap 3.73 and flashed CM11 M9 into the Slot1. The phone was working completely fine without a single hitch.
Today my friend called me to ask about the phone and I said it's working only it has two systems (lots of not really good used memory). He said to me to remove one of them and I went back into Safestrap recovery and activated Stock. Then I wiped Dalvik cache, cache, system, android secure. After that I switched to Slot1 (CM11) and it said it was active. I thought it would work since there is still that CM11 in Slot1, right? I tapped reboot -> system and since then the phone won't boot. When I press and hold the Power button for about 7-8 seconds, Motorola logo is shown and after that only a black screen (phone turned off). I tried holding Power+VOLDN but sadly same results. I know I should have read more about removing stock, but I did it anyway. Everything was going so smoothly so I thought there wouldn't be any problems. I think I should point out that when I connect the phone to my laptop, I can see "Mot Composited ADB Interface". Does this mean the phone is not dead?
Is there a way to unbrick the phone without some special cables and/or equipment?
Thanks.
Use Matt's utility to restore things to stock:

@mikeoswego Thanks. I actually managed to get it working a little before this post using that amazing piece of software.
The state of the phone was like this: I hold the Power button, Motorola logo pops up and then the phone turns off. I hold Power+VOLDN same thing happens (Logo is shown and then it turns off). I couldn't even get it to fast boot. It just turned off. I searched a bit here and found the solution. When the logo is shown, press and hold VOLUP+VOLDN and don't let go. The menu will be shown where you can select fastboot. After that I just connected the phone to my laptop, used matts program and resurrected the phone
I lost root, so I rooted again, installed safestrap, wiped Stock and in it's place installed CM11. Rom1 was still occupied by old CM11 install so I deleted that. Installed the GSM patch and now the phone works as a charm.
So many thanks to this great community. I usually don't post at all. I use the search function and just follow the steps, but I panicked a bit today. Sorry.

[Q] RAZR stuck on Eye startup

My Wife's Droid RAZR MAXX stopped working yesterday. We bought her a new phone.
I wanted to play around with rooting a phone and running a custom ROM. (Never tried it before, mainly since we need the phones to be 100% reliable).
Here's the catch. The phone starts up, and boots only to the Red Pulsing Eye / energy ball thing. The eye is constantly moving, but it never boots.
Most of the directions I've seen for loading a new ROM indicate I have to root the phone first, which means the phone has to be working.
I can boot into the special menus, is there any option for proceeding with the special menus, or is the phone truly a brick? (I have factory defaulted it about 3 times)
I also recognize the problem is most likely hardware, but didn't want to just throw it in the trash if I could avoid it. (We'll I'd recycle it..)
Mike
Hi Mike.
Can you get into AP Fastboot mode?
If you can, try reflashing using RSD-Lite, details here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1539192
I believe you have to first get your phone working with stock (manufacturer) ROM first before getting root and flashing custom ROM.
Good luck.
