[Q] Antutu Benchmark - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HI!
And I want to know how to earn high score in AntuTu Benchmark.
Now my phone (SGSIII (GT-I9300) ) taking 15500 score. But here I'm seeing 22000 or 21200 scores.
So Can I earn such score to my phone.

Using roms like Omnirom or CM11 and with its kernels antutu gives about 18300-18600. This roms with Googy's kernel, about 19000. And using Yank's kernel , that overcloks at 1600, it gives 21200-21500.

Seems like Yank's kernel is deleted, any another way to get it for CM11?

i menaged to get 20670 on antutu with NeatRom Lite v7.5 and boeffla config archi performance profile

Register and download from here.

I'm getting 23000 with the latest ArchiPort and agni kernel.
Antutu score means jack **** anyway, I wouldn't recommend neither striving to achieve a higher score nor bothering tweaking your phone to raise it, especially with DVFS.

Highest score
My highest score was 21 500 in Antutu.
Omega ROM v58 and Boeffla kernel overclocked and higer voltage CPU & GPU
Edit: But I think this is completely useless. And I undervolt CPU & GPU for better battery life

I'm getting 20060 with Beanstalk Rom and Boeffla kernel, without overclocking and playing with the voltages. Anyway I think something was changed in the latest versions of Antutu since I used to get about 18000 with the exact same combination of Rom/kernel/settings

[Q] Benchmark scores too high for others?

Well, its just two since since i started playing around geekily with my Galaxy Tab P7500, 16 GB. I downloaded Antutu Benchmark and got an expected score, but then I checked their leaderboard, I found that my rank is quite less than the people who own the same device. Their scores are in 7000s, while mine is like 6800 neighbourhood.
Is their a way that I can improve the benchmark to that level? By the way, I overclocked it to 1400Mhz using pershoot's kernel and Antutu CPU Master and also modified my sdcard read cache to 4096. I tried googling but dint find any methods. Plus, I also need to improve my GPU performance, just in case.

while taking benchmarks, apart from overclocking to 1.4GHz, you need to ensure that you have the governor set to 'performance' or 'lazy' in setcpu. you also need to kill all background applications that are current running, settings->applications->manage applications->running->kill. this ensures that you get the maximum possible benchmark.
also try RieGo's kernel. its got experimental GPU overclocking

ohk, well, those good benchmark guidelines were followed by me. Anyways, thanks for reply. I need to try that kernel you've advised.

I think Riego's GPU OC kernel is not working .. i think pershoot tried it before already .. he took it out because it doesnt make any difference.

[Q] help in overclocking

i have franco kernel 2.6.35.14 & overclocked at 729 using setcpu
Why my quadrant score is only 886, have seen some quadrant result for optimus one that reaches around 2000. How they do it?

886 - suppose you use stock Gingerbread, it's normal as it's not optimised and doesn't have the performance patches found in oxygen or cyanogenmod rom. Actually all it matters is user experience - if it's smooth enough and can handle other things good enough you don't need to care about benchmarks, and benchmarks are just for showing off.
Reaching 2000+ is a result of using a2sd and its variants. It doesn't really matter as it's only a small little boost to performance.
Dude use antutu benchmark..quadrant is no longer reliable ..it shows fake results with a2sd n 0ther shyt..you know what ? When i was on miks rom +franco kernel+ungaze+zram i got a score of 2600..but performance was nt that great n battery drain was huge ..now wid 2.3.3 based roms like openoptimus, blackbird ,aga etc my phone is even smooth n efficicient..however a differenece of 250~ (antutu)is ppssible between cyan roms etc nd official gingerbread based ones..
Sent from my LG Optimus One P500 using xda premium
Antutu isnt a good benchmark too, with a better SD you will have a better score... Nenamark is another good benchmark
None of the scores really matter, its just the user experience which matters
yup got the answer result is not important.
After installing franco kernel phone became smooth as butter with increase in speed by overclocking.
Thanks Guys

To achieve the higher score: enable 16bit transparency graphics under the Performance section which only AOSP roms have (and even then, only some have it). Then install Dorminax and set max freq to 2.8Ghz and use ondemand CPU governor. Then place phone in freezer after letting it cool down when you are ready to start the benchmark. This is not to cheap but to ensure temps don't cause the CPU to lower freq which would provide inconsistent benchmarks.

LOL. good to know some tricks for making us feel better in benchmarks
But very good reminder to let my phone actually cool off more than I actually do. Hopefully I will learn more on Dorimanx tweaks to help with making this more automated.
I bet the phone types the text and then you're typing it on the keyboard because the multi score is awesome
Lol mine just restarts awhile after starting antutu at 2.8 what binning you have?
What do you mean by binning? I would tell you if i knew.

thanks for that link.
my numbers are:
speed bin: 2.3 GHz (but Dorimanx overclocks at 2.8 - also set in STweaks)
PVS bin 2

How someone got this score on antutu.

hey have look at this screenshot..!
The person that provided me this screenshot said that he is developing a new kernel.
But then i saw the score not validated as it was red but then he said would release the kernel to select users and also he said he will be making a video on the kernel highlights.
But how did he attain such high scores???
Holy crap how is that even possible ? Who is this magician ? It doesn't look like overclock , CPU score is less important than our actual values (24000 for 1804 + 1440 MHz)
Need some explanation but wow , wait &see
ol I got almost 100k once on old guyver kernel + eu miui dev with kernel tweaks and heavy debloat on my 2GB ram model k3nzo
but thats the reason I dont trust this benchmark...
Ok so i contacted the guy named Riju and he said his work would take another week to compare before releasing it to the public.
He also mentions the support for nougat rooms and mm miui roms, quick charge 3.0,improved battery performance and better graphics with vulkan api stork
I got higher scores in 3D, CPU and RAM, BUT...UX? Wtf?

How you got this freaking benchmark?!? I've never got more than 84k! Please tell me what is your setup!

I got ~88k with AICP Nougat + Radon (stock settings) + F2FS. Nothing more.

I am using new LineageOS unofficial (7.1.1), nothing special, stock radon settings(3.4), only set the governor to Impulse.
This totally insane!!
Antutu 6.0.1 could be easily used to have a good score I don't know how, but it's in link with the kernel... I could go to 120K with guyver kernel ... but it's bug is just with antutu 6.0.1

antutu is not a good way to judge device performance.
this score is complete bs... this version of antutu can be manipulated to have this high of a score. tell this kernel creator to run a new benchmark using the latest antutu version and see how it fares.
I flash Vulkan API and android N blobs for SD650, got 86k, if overclock might near 100k, but that's too high in the image.
AIDA screenshot for Vulkan API proof.
Lol no updates yet
Kernel release?

does numbers really matter? i highly doubt there's a noticeable difference in performance between this guy's score and the typical benchmark score of our phones.

Performance will feel better for sure. Battery life, system stability, product life and thermals will suffer though. Which do you find more important is the real question I guess.
but why do u want this score overclocking means higher risk of damage an just getting 20000 more wont do any wonders, apps incompatible will stay like that. It is a great phone which in my opinion dosent need overclocking atleast for now.

Why do custom ROMs slow the CPU speed can't set it to the maximum

Why does every kermal I flash slow the CPU down I've tried at least six with miui and linegae all of them do the same thing. The geekbench scores are rediculous on all of them. I'd their anyway to set them to maximum clock speeds on the GPU and CPU. I don't care about battery draining etc.
I've also tried kermal auditor and fk manager both dot he same thing slower clock speeds.
Hm... I guess its because most users wanted a stable usage.. optimal performance, with a bit more longer usage..
And according to sir Francisco Franco.. with his franco kernel.. he explained that underclocking to some specific points.. doesnt affect performance.. only the app starting.. he mentioned apps dont really need to run at max speed..
Anyways.. if you want more power.
Try using MALAKAS KERNEL, INSTALL all of the tweaks mentioned together, in his post..
Or download EXTREME KERNEL..
BUT I GUESS.. MALAKAS KERNEL WILL suite you..
It even got me a wooping above 300k in antutu.. on par with my kirin 980 mate 20 x..??
And dont forget to install
Unthermal, lkt and force gpu render magisk modules.. and build prop VULKAN tweaks .. all present in MALAKAS KERNEL THREAD

That Antutu Score actually bothers me. I just installed a custom pixel rom. When I tried going for Antutu score like 2 days ago, it was at 334,485 (CPU 98.2K, GPU 138.5K, MEM 54K, UX 43.6K). Does it mean my rig is being 'overclocked'? Or rooting the device means tampering with the score result?
No gravity kernal overclocks 3.03ghz cpu
